    They really make it clearer for every product lineup now, a Rucker is no longer best suitable for EDC anymore with removal of zippers inside out.

    I’m so glad you made this. Thank you so much!!! No one has videos for this.
    I want this for EDC and rucking cause a laptop will fit in the 45# plate pocket. It’s also nice for a Dad bag. I’ll probably spend the money to have molle on the side with handles from scars.

    Interested in this. Thanks for the great review. I’m looking for a dedicated ruck for a 20lb plate. This seems perfect!

    Ruckerized. Love it. If they’d put the zippers back inside I’d be all over that bag. Love the regular Bullet 15

      Totally agree. Had they just added the plate to the Bullet it would be a slam dunk

    Thank you for the reviews you do. If you see this, I’m only about 5 feet tall, mostly legs, would you recommend this pack? I haven’t rucked since my time in the army with the old Alice and I’m excited to drop my weight vest and get started.

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This would be a bit tall if I had to guess. I "small frame" rucker might fit better.

      Wendy, did you buy a ruck bag yet? I have a compact 20L Rucker 4.0 that I purchased a couple of months ago that I’m going to put up on eBay. It’s lightly used and is probably a better fit for people under 5’5”. I prefer the feel of the Bullet Ruck, so I’m selling the compact Rucker.

  • @knowledgeofsurvival

    Do you think you can use the bullet Rucker for a goruck tough event?

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possible? Yes. Preferred? No. Full-sized Rucker for the wider straps would be preferred

  • @jackbenvent4515
    @jackbenvent4515 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for this. I am starting out and was thinking of this bag vs Rucker 4.0. Is there any reason I would need the extra handles on the larger bag for my workouts? I see people doing all sorts of things with their ruck and don’t want to limit my options. Thanks so much!

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Bullet Rucker is a great place to start. You’ll be just fine without the side handles. The only thing you’re really missing is the ability to use a waist belt. Otherwise it perfect for getting in miles and most workouts.

    The top face of the regular bullet looks more tapered. Bullet rucker looks more squared off at the top. Am i seeing things?

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re correct. It’s that frame sheet inside that makes it hold its shape. They’re actually the same.

    Hi JB. If choosing between a 20L Rucker and the 15L Bullet Rucker, which would you choose? I'm roughly 6' 220 lb, and looking to use it purely for fitness (no events) in addition to a 21L GR1 for EDC. Thanks!

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I would pick the 20L for the straps. Way wider and more comfortable. Only negative is the pocket only takes up to the 30lb plate. The 15L Bullet Rucker can go big and accepts the 45lb plate but those straps make it uncomfortable

    Hey boss, I have a (dumb) question. I'm wanting to get into rucking - so I want the option for many different weight plates. This bag looks awesome, as I love the 15L footprint, and can rock many different plates - and its on sale to boot! But dang, velcro just isn't my thing.
    Did they make a previous version of the Bullet Rucker that has zippers? Or is it time to embrace the suck of velcro and focus on rucking? lol

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Luke! This Bullet Rucker is a great place to start. They didn't make a version prior to this so you won't be able to find a zippered version. If you look at the Laptop Bullet you could fit plates in that one and get the zippers. You just can't fit the 45lb plate in it. Which is actually too much weight for this size bag anyway in my opinion.

    • @ldc89
      @ldc89 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JBOutside1 Given that my main use case will be rucking and less EDC, is it nicer having a dedicated compartment for a plate. Or does it carry well in the laptop compartment?
      And hey, thanks for your help!

    • @ldc89
      @ldc89 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JBOutside1 And maybe the question to rule them all. I recently picked up the Cardiology x Mystery Ranch Spartonolgy. I saw you used a 30lb plate in it. Seeing that I'm under 150lbs, I'd be using a 20lb plate. Do you think the Mystery Ranch bag would suffice for an intro into rucking? Or would you be concerned with the strain a plate might have on the laptop compartment?

    • @JBOutside1
      @JBOutside1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ldc89 If just rucking a dedicated plate would be best as it totally secures the plate. The Spartan holds it but long-term I think it will destroy the pocket.
