I have a P1457 on my AP1. I replaced the gas cap and cleared the code, but it came right back. Your videos will be very helpful when I have some time to tackle this project. Thank you

Great DIY video. Thank for sharing! I have a question? When testing the Vent Valve with the vacuum pump, do you put the vacuum pump to the side that goes to the canister or the air filter. My 02 Toyota Tacoma EVAP diagram says from filter to canister. I’m getting fault codes P0440 and P0442. Thank you.

Not simple like they say at all. Evap systems a big money maker when something goes wrong right before emissions testing in my state CT.

curious-- the bypass solenoid you checked the black and yellow wire which should be ground but you got battery voltage from and the first wire you got some voltage but than should have been a ground or battery voltage ???

What are your feelings about the Foxwell scan tool? Best in Class or Innox better? I’m looking for 199 or less for a 2010 Ford Escape.

I had a P1457 code for my 98 Civic. As suggested by this video, I tested my [2-way-EVAP-BYPASS-fuel -tank-pressure-sensor combo assembly] exactly as directed in this video. Here is the result:
    1. At the 1st time. the assembly does hold a vacuum.
    2. Try again, the assembly does NOT hold vacuum and has not held vacuum since the second test.
    3. Then, I test the EVAP-bypass-solenoid-valve, the Ohme value is 31.5 Ohme
Therefore, I concluded that my 2-way valve was faulty. Ordered the part online through Honda Part Direct, and put it in. After about 30 miles of driving, the code P1457 shows up again.
Do you have any idea, what else I should check NEXT? Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
