    Best video for troubleshooting this issue, at least on this style LG dryer. I thought it would be the thermistor but saved me a lot of trouble testing it at the circuit board. Replaced the main board and it's working again. Thank you!

      Wow, thank you so much for the generous $20 super chat! 🙏 I'm thrilled the video helped you troubleshoot and fix your LG dryer-it really makes my day to hear it saved you some hassle with the circuit board! Every bit of support like yours helps me continue making these detailed guides, and I truly appreciate it. Thanks again, and happy repairing!

    This video is immensely valuable. Despite your warning, I went ahead an took apart my unit and replaced the Thermistor. That didn't work. After resetting the fuse as you showed, I got the same startup issue. I just put in my new control board and it works perfectly. For those in the same predicament, the replacement board per LG is now EBR31002612. LG is no longer manufacturing the EBR85130518 part number and that is REALLY hard to find on line. I can verify that the new part number is an exact replacement.

    Thank goodness I found this video! te1 error code and 2 other videos called thermistor as the problem. I couldn't get my multimeter to work to check the thermistor but trusted your comment on the control board being the problem 99% of the time. Replaced the board and the dryer is working again. So disappointed that I've only has this LG Dryer four years and already replacing the board. At least it was only $210 vs. a new dryer. Great content. Thank you!

      Hi I replaced the board and I’m still getting the error. The dryer spins and heats up if you keep running it over and over. I have the lg Dle7100w.
      I’m really not sure at this point. Any input would be appreciated.

      Have you tried to reset? Unplug and hold down the power button for at least 5 seconds. Plug back in and see. If you haven't replace the thermister already, it could be that. There is a you tube video on how to replace it. Labor intensive but doable. The part is less than $10. Good luck! @@des10art

    Great video. I was getting the tE1 code, checked the Thermistor and there was nothing wrong with it. Ordered a new PCB and then the code was gone but the dryer just clicked and the motor would not start. I checked the thermal fuse and indeed it needed to be reset. Dryer fired right up! Thanks for the great content.

    First off this is the most helpful video to date. Here is my problem. My dryer started with the te1 error. It would run for 10 seconds or so and shut down. I learned I could trick it by warming it up after 8 failed cycles or so and viola- it stays on. We called an appliance tech and he pulled my thermistor and said it could be multiple things . He left and my dryer remained broken. Our luck ran out and the “bypass” no longer worked. The dryer wouldn’t even start. I watched this video, reset the thermostat; and I’ll be ordering a new control board. What was a bit puzzling is I expected to see some defect to the board when I pulled it but it appears in good shape. Anyway thanks this was very helpful : )

    What causes the board to fail. Bad design or something I'm doing?

    This video saved me from wasting time ordering and installing a replacement thermistor (which a decent amount of videos were suggesting as a first step). What he said about the control board being the problem was true in my case. Multimeter confirmed the resistances in the thermistor and on the control board pins were still good, which pointed to the control board being the problem. Installed the replacement board and voila-T1 Error went away and my dryer works again. Thank you so, so much for making this content. 🙏

    Id love to know what component on the board causes this issue so it can be replaced without sn entire new board

    • @onlineappliancetech
      @onlineappliancetech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Certainly, pinpointing the exact component can save both time and money. We're familiar with interpreting wiring diagrams; however, we currently don't have the specific LG wiring for the main control board. I'll look into providing more detailed insights on this in future content. In the meantime, if anyone has access to that particular diagram or further information, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for bringing this up!

    Hi buddy, thanks for your video. I have an LG DLEX3700V dryer that's giving me the error code TE1. I looked it up online and found that it might be a bad thermistor. I ordered a new one (model 6323EL2001B) and replaced it. I measured the resistance of the old one, which was about 8K ohms, and the new one reads around 10.8K ohms. From what I found online, the normal range should be around 11K ohms, so I think the new thermistor is fine.
    I also tested the round thermal fuse you mentioned in your video, and it reads 0.04 ohms, which seems normal. I took apart the vent and cleaned everything, inside and out. There’s no dust or blockage near the two sensors. After reassembling everything, I double-checked all the connections to make sure they're tight. I also measured the resistance at the yellow and blue wires leading into the control board, and it shows around 10K ohms, which means the connection to the board should be fine.
    Once I put everything back together, I reset the dryer by holding the start button for five seconds while it was unplugged. But when I powered it back on, it ran for a few seconds and then showed the TE1 error again. I tried restarting it a few times, but the TE1 error keeps coming up.
    Do you think this could be a control board issue? The board is pretty expensive, so I don’t want to buy one without being sure. Could you help me figure out how to use a multimeter to test the board and what kind of readings I should be looking for to determine if the board is bad?
    Thanks for your time, and I really appreciate any help you can offer!

    • @onlineappliancetech
      @onlineappliancetech  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It sounds like a faulty control, similar to the one in the video. If you've tested everything as mentioned in your comment, the issue is likely with the main control.
      Let me know if this works!

    • @onlineappliancetech
      @onlineappliancetech  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your dryer is spinning, it indicates that your motor fuse/thermostat is functioning correctly. If your LG dryer isn't producing heat, it might be due to the high limit fuse, which can be reset. Have you encountered the TE1 error code?

      I'm sorry to hear about your issue. I would recommend unplugging the unit and checking for continuity from the main control to the sensor. This is to identify if there is a disruption or 'open line' in the circuit, which would prevent the Main Power Control (MPC) from properly reading the thermistor.
