    Hi, I'm Frank my channel is all about 3D printing. I can't get enough of my 3D printer. I make everything and anything out of 3D filament (PLA, PETG and more). As I say a printer that is not printing is a missed opportunity.
    I'll be doing electronics, mechanics, computer engineering, DIY, reviews and tutorials.
    I update twice a week on Tuesday and Saturdays.

      Me too, after a lot of good prints suddenly they began to fail. The extrusion was curling off and around. I followed this video and got a nice satisfying POP as the lump came out and left my nozzle clean. The extrusion then went back to being straight again :)

    This worked great, I actually bought a nozzle tip cleaner and that really did not work for something like this where the build up is inside the top of the nozzle chamber... thx

    Good hint :-) I realized earlier that pull out the bowden tube was impossible. Seems you have to loosen this fitting as you described

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I did successfully removed the bowden tube, it can be a hard thing to do and can damage it in the long run, if you remove the fitting, just push the bowben tube forward you will see marks on it where it was in the fitting, remove those with a knife or sandpaper, than you should be able to remove the bowden tube when pushing the little bleu ring down. I prefer to leave it alone and just remove the fitting.

    • @Alpentarn
      @Alpentarn 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes thank you. Pushing down this ring didn't help to remove the tube. I will remove the fitting like you. I have mounted a fang cooling design so I have to dissasembly the whole thing first :-(

    great! I always just remove the Nozzle and heat it up with a blowtorch in some vicegrips. and push filliment through it, let cool pull a few times untill its clean. I can really get my wire brush on it too to , heats up in seconds with a torch and the metal vice grips act like a heatsink so it cools down fairly quick too. :)

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it can be done that way too!

    Useful video. Only the temperature to pull the filament is too low. Try 120 degrees C.

    If my filament keeps breaking when I pull, should I try a higher temp pull?
    Thanks

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you could or something is really jammed in there, or even your filament is brittle.

    Hi, how long once to perform this procedure?

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can take 5 to 10 times depanding on the clog. Since than I use a dedicated setup just for unclogging, I will do a video about it.

    Hello, I have A Creaity CR-10 with Dual Z Axis motors. The z axis goes up and down when homing but will not go up when printing. Is this a problem with my machine or am i doing something wrong in Cura ?

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be sure, try to print something already sliced on the original SD card...

    My Boden tube is stuck in the hot end. Removed the fitting as mentioned but tube still won't come out of hot end. Tried pulling quite hard and that didn't work

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, you could push it from the other side if you dismantle the hot end assembly

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I do not see my response so I will give it again, I did also encounter that problem, the tube was really hard to remove no mater how much I push down the ring on the fitting, I just unscrewed the fitting that holds the tube to the head...

    I did it exactly as shown in the video and the tip or the filament broke off inside the nozzle. I dont know what to do

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try to push it up after removing the nozzle, try heating the nozzle at 170C to help.

    I can't get my filament out it is stuck!!!?

    • @Franks3Dshop
      @Franks3Dshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can try to unscrew the fitting holding the teflon tube on top of the heatsink, and see if it’s stuck inside the print head or in the teflon tube, if it’s in the teflon tube you could need to replace it, it is easy to find and doesn’t cost much, it has a inner diameter of 2mm for a 1.75mm filament.
