i like his streams but lately he has let chat bait him into political and social matters that he doesnt have much knowledge, so its kinda hard to watch talking shit from a caverman talking sociology, imagine that. "The trolls never do anything different." That is exactly their story. The only tribe who does are the Darkspear due to them listening to their Shadowhunters. There is a nice little section in Shadow of the Horde i believe to that topic.

Medivh literally thought "dealing with" the trolls was a waste of his time so he phoned it in. I love this explanation because his idea of phoning it in is almost committing genocide against stupid, basically-evil species making life too tough for him to focus on real threats.
I mean trolls aren’t necessarily stupid or evil. They’re hostile and downright savage, but they are also deeply connected to Azeroth and have more animal Gods than anyone. They are also staunch defenders of Azeroth and naturally unwelcoming.
Imagine you’ve been doing your own thing for thousands of years and then start to get invaded by foreign races. Of course you’re going to fight them for encroaching on your territory that you’ve been attached to for generations.
As for them being stupid for trusting their animal Gods or trying to usurp them. It’s also subjective. If we are powerful for our borrowed power, the Troll way to become more powerful would be through a new God or consuming Gods new and old alike. I mean really Jin’do the Godbreaker had the right idea. Their only alternative was to become less hostile to the Orcish horde (which some did)
The Shatterspear were probably the happiest of the Troll tribes, dancing having fun yada yada yada. Unfortunately Garrosh brought them into the Horde so happy times came to an end.

The reasons Trolls get shit on is because they are the first beings to evolve on Azeroth without the interference of Titans or Old Gods.
As a result they are the base level of sentient life.
This being said, Trolls are in a bad place due to their enemies always using outside forces, like Stormwind needing Medhiev, Player Characters in large groups and Borrowed power.

I still remember the drama with T&E about Asmon pulling Viewers from them. Without Asmon I never woumd have started to watch Bellular, Preach, Gorak and now PlatinumWoW aswell as others on a regular basis. Because Asmon brings attention to these Channels! And now PlatinumWoW earned another Sub because of his great Content I would never have found without Asmon and his Editors! So thank you guys for your great work, keep it up and stay safe!

They probably wouldnt be able to do much either way, it would only mean that humans suffer far more casualties. In that story there literally was no way humans would lose.
The humans were only losing in the first place because their king was a moron.
Trolls were very unlucky with their enemies. Gurubashi faced medivh aka superman. The amani fought the very elves that sundered the world. The drakkari fought the full might of the scourge. The Farakki however are just weaklings. They fell to bandits and ogres.
Well, the Darkspear story is quite happy in comparison with the others. They were bullied and lost their island twice, their original one to a naga and fucking murlocs and then to a SINGLE traitor (though he was somehow WAY TOO OP, since it took an entire fucking army to defeat him), but apart from that since they went to become friends with the player character they became invincible.

9:30 The reason Gandalf doesn't do anything is because, the last time he (or any of the other 4 wizards) used his actual TRUE powers, they literally Thanos snapped a continent out of existence. And it's not like a slow destruction thing. They literally obliterated it in a heartbeat.
For those who don't know, Gandalf is a Maiar. In Biblical terms, he's basically an Angel, sent by the supreme being Eru Iluvitar that created the world to stop the Dark Lords. In WoW terms - imagine Titan Keepers and Watchers, but so powerful that they could reasonably challenge an old God to a 1v1 and probably win. Since Maiar are the "lower class" of spirits, the higher class being Valar, and Valar are like Seraphim. If Maiar are Titanic Keepers, then Valar are Titans.
Just goes to show how truly powerful Gandalf was. Dude could seriously do the entire quest to destroy the ring by himself, but he knew that the risk of the ring Corrupting him was far too great to be worth considering. The only reason Saruman didn't just straight up blow up all of his opposition was because he didn't want to attract the attention of other holy spirits, and because Sauron wanted to rule over the people of middle earth, not a barren wasteland devoid of life.
The powers you see Gandalf and Saruman use in the mainstream media are literally but a tiny fraction of what they can really do. And by tiny, I mean like a Mage casting rank 3 firebolt tiny. Saruman doing that awesome sequence where he sent a thunderstorm against Gandalf? For him it was like blowing soap bubbles or something.
Uhm sorry but which continent did they blow up? If you are talking about the war of wrath that werent the wizards. They only came to middle earth in the second age
They were also expressly told not to try and fight Sauron in a straight up battle

If you are so strong that you can only use 1% of your power and that 1% does not change very much, you are not strong to begin with. Because it does not count what your true final form is after changing it six times if you die in your normal stage 1 with a oneshot, because finally someone uses his finisher before everyone scaled up to infinity.

10:15 The List of Trolls losing is so freaking long. To extend it I made a shortlist of some other defeats not mentioned in the video.
The last remaining Dark Troll is in Zandalar. You know the one that allied with the Night elves in Warcraft 3. They got eradicated by the Twilight Hammer when they invaded Hyjal in Cataclysm
The Shattered Spear Tribe that got annihilated by the Alliance in Dark Shore after they allied with Horde and attacked them. Most likely some survived and sought refuge in Orgrimmar where they joined their dark spear brethren.
The Frostmane that got eradicated by Troggs, Gnomes, and Dwarves in Dun Morogh.
The Sandfury that we eradicated because Gadgetzan paid us for it (and a carrot on a stick).
The Witherbark that we killed to rob their bodyparts and belongings to sell for gold.
Or that on time the Steemwheedle Cartel kicked the Trolls out of Cape of Stranglethorn before they build Booty Bay.
There are only 3 Tribes in modern-day Warcraft that are surviving Zandalari, Darkspear, and Revantusk. The rest just keeps losing until they are all dead.
In short, always align with the players or die.

Yeah, he's the wisest and probably the most magically powerful of all the minor deities of Middle Earth. The only comparable Maiar in terms of power are Sauron and Huon. The reason you don't see Gandalf performing massive destructive acts of magic and leveling armies is he was specifically instructed by the Valar to never oppose the forces of evil with strength. The mortal races had already used their get out of jail free card during the final war against Morgoth, so they high gods were perfectly prepared to let everyone on Middle Earth die if they didn't protect themselves. That's why the only divine intervention in a world full of gods comes from Gandalf, the Ents, and the Eagles.

The reason why Trolls get butchered in lore is literally because they didnt change or adapt. They never moved with the times and continued to stay true to the savagery after the war with the Aqir.
