I love how the game gives you three whole minutes to run back to the lift after the last boss. You don't even have to escape on the jet ski, you're just given three whole minutes to walk fifteen feet or so.
This and Degeneration were so surreal to play on mobile as a kid. I need to figure out how to emulate these and play them again haha (after Re4 remake which may consume my life forever)

The effort to port a sixty generation game for a mobile device in 2009 (2007, if count the very first mobile edition launched) is remarkable. Almost everything is there, gameplay, variety of guns, some songs, stages, bosses (exception to Bitores, unfortunately he was cut off from the game)...EVERYTHING...Or a great part, at least! Capcom did a MIRACLE!
Its amazing how accurate they tried to be on this version, almost everything is there. I remember playing this 13 years ago on my iPod touch 3. I never reached the end of the game.

Now that I grew older and wiser, I started to appreciate the effort of developer back then, not calling modern dev is incompetent or anything. Dev back then has huge passion and idea, that are only limited by the technical limitation of said era. And more cheesy and piss filter era. Dev had to work with several limitation, hardware first and foremost, then the game media size (CD/DVD/Cartridge), technology/engine at the time, and workaround to fully optimize everything. One of the most impressive optimization in the PS2 era, in my opinion, is Demon Chaos/Ikusagami. 62000+ enemies in one single screen, at a damn 60fps. Even if you consider at the extreme optimization it require to achieve that, it's still very much an amazing feat. This port is honestly a holy grail, and I love every bit of this piece of media.

Hey, great gameplay of Resident Evil 4 mobile edition! While I love the remake, I also have a soft spot for the original RE4. In fact, I just started a series playing the original RE4 on my phone, and it's been a thrilling experience. It's amazing how the game still holds up after all these years
I'm glad this was my first ever resident evil game and this is the first ever version that I have ever played. I understand why they cut out some parts out for this version and I'm happy to see that I did not miss out anything related to the plot in this version.
When the mobile version of the game has U3 but the 2023 Remake doesn't LMAO. This is honestly downright IMPRESSIVE for a mobile game. I mean, it's actually uncanny. If this was a standalone RE title they could have actually made a solid original Resident Evil game here.

Sadly I used to own this and DMC 4’s mobile port back in the day and a friend of mine had the Dead Rising mobile port. At least we didn’t buy them for full price still wasn’t worth it tho.
You can still play it on an emulator tho. Aethersx2 is the best one to go with. It runs every ps2 game ie; re4 also. Searching for better settings on yt can make it run smoothly.

Smatrphones advanced so much in terms of hardware that now any mid range phone can emulate the ps2 or gamecube version of re4 without breaking a sweat. If you wanna play Re4 on mobile now that is the way to go. This port was mediocre at best even for it's time, around that time Rockstar managed to port the full version of gta 3 to phones
I wouldn't say that. Dolphin emulator is still extremely demanding for modern phones. My phone has 8gb of ram but because the GPU isn't very powerful on most mobile devices it still stutters playing Re4 in original quality. I mean it's playable, but we're not at the point where any midrange phone can handle emulating GameCube at least.
I kind of wished they decided to revamp this version by making it so it’s the full 2005 version and port it to the iPhone with A12 Bionic (minimum) or above can play it. That way the remake and this version is available.

Actually isn’t bad at all. Looks good given that times mobile device capabilities. Also kindve interesting to imagine this is what the game would’ve looked like if it was released on Nintendo 64 first.
The framerate is low, anyway this game came out about 10 years ago so that explains all, I have played it back then just to try out, but I didn't finish it because of the hard control. Btw you now can play PS2 Resident Evil 4 on your Android with AetherSX2 amulator, I play it on my phone with Snapdragon 855 and it runs smoothly, to get the best experience play it with a gamepad, and no Iphone doesn't support emulator so you can't play it on your iPhone

Actually isn’t bad at all. Looks good given that times mobile device capabilities. Also kindve interesting to imagine this is what the game would’ve looked like if it was released on Nintendo 64 first.

The framerate is low, anyway this game came out about 10 years ago so that explains all, I have played it back then just to try out, but I didn't finish it because of the hard control.
Btw you now can play PS2 Resident Evil 4 on your Android with AetherSX2 amulator, I play it on my phone with Snapdragon 855 and it runs smoothly, to get the best experience play it with a gamepad, and no Iphone doesn't support emulator so you can't play it on your iPhone
