Hi @TrackingAcademy , I've been looking at the guide for days but there are some points that aren't clear to me. Section 3 or the addition of the 2 scripts at 5:41 . I don't understand what I have to paste in 'Head Data Layer' and 'Product Data Layer'. On the blog the codes to copy seem to be different than the ones you paste into the two snippets you create on Shopify. On the blog there are 2 pieces of code but I don't understand if in reality it is a single piece or not. Can you help me understand??
Hi, the confusion is so true. The head-dataLayer.liquid file will have that short 4-6 lines of code. But I think the file names are different in video I mention that the file name should be product-datalayer.liquid. But actually it supposed to be datalayer-product.liquid or something that is used in the head-datalayer. Maybe I’ll take sometime tonight and fix the blog post
Great tutorial, but there are different videos for each event like pageview, add to cart etc, I want to have all these events firing. Is there a complete product-datalayer code that has all events code? pageview, view content, add to cart, checkout, purchase? Now they are all individual codes, not combined.
These videos are created, for the users who would like to add any one of the events to their Shopify Store, most of the users have Facebook & Instagram shopify app, and sometime, one or two events dont fire from their set up. These videos are created for those users in mind. Rightnow there is not a combined video
Hi, i did it step by step as the video but i cant see the Meta Pixel AddToCart tag fired. Can it be because of the language of my template? My add to cart button is in spanish as ''agregar al carrito''
My data layar is not working, I saw your all three videos purchase, check out and also add to cart but the issue is datalayar is not shoowing in my end any solution. When I add to cart I cannot see it it in google tag assitant tab any suggestion
Hi. The add_to_cart dataLayer works on the product template. If you triggering add_to_cart outside of product template, on collection page or any other pages, the event will not trigger. The initiate checkout script triggers on the /cart route of Shopify and Purchase event will trigger on /thank_you route
Hi, brother, thanks for your nice tutorial. This is very helpful. By the way, when I checked the pixel helper extension I see it shows the default variant data which is selected when the page load. But when I change the variant and add to cart I see the data has not been changed in the pixel helper and it shows the default variant data. Also I checked this through the event manager and I saw it shows the wrong variant data instead of the one I added to cart. The value should be changed dynamically but it is not happening. When I checked it by enabling the Facebook app I see it shows the data correctly under the "Content_name" parameter but I don't want to use this and want to work manually. Anu suggestions? Thanks.
Hi, thanks for pointing it out. True, since the code fires on page load, it stores the default variant data for add_to_cart event. I will see if i get some time, later next week to write a new script and fix it

Conversion API and Brower Pixels are separate, and Yes, you still have to configure CAPI

Hi, the text on the AddToCart button does not matter, as long as you have [name="add"] attribute added on the AddToCart button.
