I have this tank but where do i need the coolent level on the sight glass when Cold? Because i notice it raises when its at temperature i just don't want to overfill
I hear and see duramax, but i wonder if they are compatible with the 6.0 or the 8.1l engines?... i have the 81 and these ideas are killing me not to have. Thanks
We don't currently see as many gas trucks through the shop here as we do diesel so we haven't been able to verify cross compatibility yet. Our suggestion would be to start by pulling and comparing OEM part numbers for the coolant reservoir. If they are the same between the gas and diesel models then there's a really good chance our tank would crossover. Otherwise, looking into this is on our R&D list, but we got some other projects in front of it so don't have an ETA currently. You can be sure we'll talk about it here and on our other social channels when there's more info to share.
We've got plenty of customers already running these on '24 trucks so no concerns about compatibility. Now, when it comes to vehicle warranty, in our experience there's a LOT of variation from dealer to dealer in terms of how they handle those situations. If the potential to void your truck's warranty is a prime concern, we always recommend speaking with your local dealer about your plans for the truck before making any aftermarket modifications.
But does the lml 2016 same as the 2015s since the hoses different sizes on bottom last time i bout a lml tank the hose on my 2016 i have was smaller then the 2015 and had return it back to the shop i got it from
Yes, we can confirm that our LML tank is 100% compatible with 11-16 model years. If you've got additional questions about fitment or installation tips for your specific truck, please give us a call at the shop (630-277-8239) or email us at sales@wcfab.com and our team of specialists would be happy to help.
In the works! We're anticipating the new LML bridge to release late spring / summer of 2024. You can be sure we'll be talking about them here as soon as they are ready to go. 👍
Hey Ty, thanks for your support! If you’ve got an L5P you can find the instructions for both in the link below. We recommend filling until the coolant level is roughly in the middle of the sight glass when cold.

Can you use this tank on a brand new 2024 Duramax and not mess up your warranty?
