thnks alot dear😘....made three skirts from your tutorial with the butt allocation....it came out nice😊😊.....God bless you 😍😍but please can you do a tutorial on how to cut a gown with half cut and how to avoid zipper bulging at the back part both at the waist and butt part....please I'm waiting.....thnks in advance

Nice tutorial but you didn't mention 2 things:
1, what determined the width fold of the fabric; and
2, how many inches did you off from the shoulder.

Hello. Thanks for your observation. This will benefit others as well...
1. So ideally, the width of your fabric should be at least 1.5 multiplied by the higher of your bust or hips circumference. You can do 2 if you want it fuller. For sheer fabrics like chiffon, silk... you can do up to 3.
2. For the off-shoulder part, cutting off about 4"-5" is okay especially if you're unable to measure or ask your client. Since the upper part has elastic, they'll be able to pull it up or down (adjust) if necessary.
The measurements used in this tutorial will suit a UK size 8-12 perfectly

Shoulder to chest line is 10”
I took 5” away as the off-shoulder then I marked the remaining 5” down from the baseline.
