What's truly insane is that they already have a good base game from OW 1 and three years of development. How did they manage to mess up OW 2 so badly??
Activision is a greedy company and they don't care about their players. You might not play them but if you do, think about every COD that Activision has been on. All it is, it microtransactions and a sweat fest between the players because they're forced to grind every second of the game they play. Its really a shame that Overwatch 1 had to die for this, the amount of regression in quality and polish is simply staggering. The fact that the Activision-Blizzard PR team thinks that a skin and a charm is a suitable apology rather than fixing the egregious problems plaguing it such as heroes being locked behind grinds and paywalls, this painful cosmetic price hike, etc
@@sindri1447 First, there's absolutely zero innovation. It's just Overwatch 1 patch 2.0 so how is it more fun? And second, all that's "new" a.k.a. a couple heroes and maps should just have been added to Overwatch 1 as it was years ago: with periodic free updates. They just stole a year of free content that they were gonna release anyway, slap a sticker on it that says "Overwatch 2" and they have ppl like you praise them, actually impressive marketing move.

I've had a great time with OW up until its final days, OW2 is a complete fucking bug riddled disaster with even worse practices. if you try to report a player during a game, it brings up the dropdown menu like in OW1, but it doesn't give you a mouse pointer to operate it and click the menu buttons - your mouse continues to control your character, so you're stuck in the report screen, you can't report anyone, and you can't exit that interface without hitting escape.
Fixed since, also you can use the P (recent players) tab to do that. But still cant do anything other than endorse players on the N (endorse players) tab -- you know where it displays who used what hero in the last match...so check it here, close, then recent players, then you may be able to block/avoid/report....or send a friend request..
you should be grateful that they even allow you to exit that menu with escape. they could have just as easily make so that if you open that menu you can't close it anymore.
That’s exactly what everyone is doing that isn’t playing and how this is getting blown out of proportion. I didn’t play at launch and leading up I assumed the gameplay would still be shit (I hated the Balance Brig and onwards OW1) had a similar attitude as everyone else. I’m playing a game that feels like Overwatch 1 again and it’s been my go-to game 2 days after launch: I haven’t experienced any bugs at all (just my own buff/nerf ideas but nothing like Brig and onward OW1) The biggest thing for me was I got my full inventory from my before console to my now PC. No other game does that really and I’m super grateful of it. The store isn’t any worse than say Apex and how the game obviously plans to remain F2P. If you played the first game and shared my sentiment about the first game I’d highly suggest you check it out yourself.
Its not as bad as reddit (always) makes it seem. Me and a group of 5 to 7 friends are enjoying non-ranked games and nothing major did happen at all. It shouldnt be called Overwatch 2 tho, shouldnt be a "new game" at all and I believe its just a cash grab from an agonizing dying company.
That skin was 100% going to be a free reward for halloween no matter what. But they saw the chance to make it SEEM like they were doing the "right" thing by giving something away. That skin was always going to be free. Which is why they are also making you wait until the 25th of October. Because that's when the event will start. The best thing we are getting is 2xp weekends. Which is as good as nothing. Especially if you work on those days lmao, double xp weekends only benefit people who are home those specific days. They should just give accounts some hours of double XP. That ticks down whenever your logged in. Like 8 hours of double XP. Instead of having random dates selected.
I thought they should have just given free currency to buy a legendary skin since not everyone cares about reaper and would allow new players to get a skin for their hero even if it was an old anniversary skin but old players could get a new skin from shop or Halloween event for hero of their choosing or just say screw single cosmetic and get 1 or 2 battle passes
Pretty sure you are right. Considering that there still isn't a better skin than the deluxe edition for reaper. Prove me wrong. Blizz just loves making 50 skins for same characters and only 1 or 2 for every other...
The funny thing about the lack of 'On Fire' meter is that the voicelines are still in there for when you are doing exceptionally well. You just have to listen for them after you do a good job. They either merely disabled all the flair of it or they are so incompetent that they couldn't actually remove it from the game properly.
Seems to me the Mei glitch is the server not understanding that she even placed her wall to begin with - it just does not exist. The players client shows that she did, but the server is not detecting it so she is forcefully placed on the ground again because in the server's mind she is on the floor. Even with the weird shots that were shown in the clip, it just seems to me that those are shots that would have hit if she were on the ground rather than on the wall. I'd be curious to see if enemy players can shoot through the wall to hit friendlies because of that bug.

I feel really down right now. With the today update ,and the problem that followed, i literally lost all hopes. One of my favorite game has been killed for this. No progression no end game card nothing. Just battlepass and shop. I just want to cry

I miss the times when people asked "when is the next game coming out" and you got "when it is ready" answer. Then when the game came out it was (mostly) ready and needed pretty much just some extra polish that could only came from player feedback.
What gets me about this, is that these gaming companies (Blizzard, Activision, Bethesda, etc) are seriously lacking in some self awareness. They release a game that obviously has been withheld from Quality Assurance and stuffed with features that no one asked for, and don't like and then they end up having to remove those features anyway due to outcry. Whenever you think its impossible for Blizzard to sink deeper they go further. This is the worst launch of Blizzard games in a Decade of only bad launches of games. They pulled the biggest BS of any Gaming company in the Industry up today, and the brainwashed OW Gamer Seals just sit their and clap and keep being hyped. This is the worst treatment I've ever seen by a Gaming Company and added to my reason to not buy anything Blizzard again. Don't get hyped for Diablo IV, because it will the same mess during release, and will be build around monetization, and also a Path of Exile - Lost Ark clone. I won't buy it for sure.
The funniest bug in the game was Bastion having infinite ultimate ammo, And their fix was to disable Torb for an hour before disabling the actual bugged character.
Biggest one for me is that my Widowmaker Skin Noire is locked and not in my account at all after the merge which needs to be know more. due to the skin being a pre-order bonus and just buying a code can be $300usd or more.
Same here along with several of my legendary event skins being gone. I reached out to support and I got the boilerplate message about recognizing the general problems with entire inventories being missing which doesn’t address the unknowable amount of skins that have been lifted from player inventories
Same, I scrambled to merge my accounts mostly for that skin and of course it’s nowhere to be found. My Dark Wolf Hanzo isn’t there, either and others have mentioned missing Remix skins in general.
Idk if you’re on console I thought it was locked out for me but when I clicked the manage game and add on Xbox I had to install the skin itself for some reason, then it worked for me.
Ive been buying into new games like a year or more after release depending on because of stuff like this. I dunno how ya'll still buy games day 1 anymore given SOP is now to release trash and fix later at best. Even free to play games have lost my trust. I played the crap out of Enlisted when it first came out. Then took a break. ... Yeah, they completely f@#$ed the progression system. Now I have like 20 pilots where I only need one (used to be you could combine lower experience units into higher experience ones. Thats gone now).
Definitely a lot of elements removed from ow2 but then some weird things still in it: -Orisa’s reworked moveset hasn’t been updated on her highlight intros so you’ll see her shooting and holding nothing. -One of Kiriko’s achievements/trophies is bugged; I think it works fine on some consoles but for PC and PlayStation there’s been a lot of complaints about the player fulfilling it over its requirements but still not getting it. -Despite there being no “on fire” status, the characters (even the new ones) claim that they’re on fire anyway. And a ton more, omg Blizzard
Really? Thats odd in Orisa's case. I mean in OW1 at least torb still has an upgraded turret in an highlight intro or two despite it having been pulled from the game VERY early on. Id think Orisa's intro would have been untouched... Man they really half assed that re-release. And killed ow1 in the process so people cant just go to the superior original one anymore.
In addition to all the major issues, there's also a lot of minor ones guaranteed to enhance any annoyance returning OW1 players would feel. Such as the random highlight intro option being broken and the replays having the option to pin but not unpin. Very minor issues in isolation, but in addition to everything else just further sours the user experience. Also further enhances the feeling of the whole game being rushed and broken when things that have been around OW1 for so long with no issues are in this state.
He didnt even mention the comp rank bug right now. It is legit placing people in bronze 5-4 even if you won every match in a row. Like i was previously gold-plat healer in ow1. doing 10-15k on average healing a game. Same healing stat won more games than lost doing placements and got put in bronze 4 yet my teamates all got silver 2. I have even heard GM's were getting placed into bronze 5. And being unable to rank up because every 7 games it replaces them in bronze 5
This literally happened to me and I was kinda pissed, I'm glad it's not just me though. I'm typically a high gold to low plat player because I don't feel the need to live inside a video game but at the point where I have a positive K/D and more than 5000 healing every match while winning and get placed in bronze there's an issue
( 16:06 ) I think this is because ActiBlizz doesn't intend for you to buy those with coins straight up unless they appear in either a bundle or in the shop. That's at least how I interpreted it when I experienced this and read "sometimes available in the shop" at the bottom right. If that is the case though it doesn't make a whole lotta sense for them to put the price up on the side like you should be capable of buying the skin. Maybe something left over from the old code since this game is pretty much just a reskin? idk just my thoughts
Looks like that Mei bug makes the game think you're still on the ground while you're on top of the ice. Thus you get hit if you aim directly above the target.
The ranked game disconnect is super annoying, last night I was on a 5 game win streak and on the tail end of the 6th game I got dc'd, given a loss and suspended from ranked games for an hour

One of the biggest problems to me is that I can't buy many Overwatch 1 skins with my legacy currency! I would understand if I couldn't buy new skins added to Overwatch 2 but not letting me buy stuff that I could buy before is infuriating.
My biggest issue with the game is that I feel like I can't get anything without spending money. I really think increasing the weeklys to give out 600 would fix it while still leaving enough room to grind for some of the more expensive stuff.
@TreBsta do you know how many weeks are in a year? at the moment completing every weekly possible every week in a year rewards 3000ish currency, with Legendaries costing 1900. Can you imagine how dead Genshin impact would be if f2players got 1 character a year.

Free Reaper skin, yeah, what if you don't play Reaper? Also they're still probably going to sell all the event cosmetics for fat cash that we were unlocking through GAMEPLAY for the past 6 years. This honestly doesn't fix any good will, it just sweeps the monetization issues under the rug.
My favorite is grinding one year for a skin in the store, even if you pay the battlepass And the reaper skin was probably going to be accessible by playing in the halloween event one way or another, no way they just made a skin in a day just to give it away

So I took a break from OW1 like early September. Didn't merge my account with OW2 before launch cause I didn't know it was gonna get shut down.. did I lose all my skins because I didn't merge before launch?
Glad to say that you did not lose anything. Just need to merge that account correctly when it allows it. I also did not merge before the expire date but still was able to merge and get my stuff back after OW2 launched.
For the Zarya Tankyness "meme": this was for total mayhem, an arcade mode with greatly reduced CDs (a mode that isnt really balanced and more just "fun" mayhem) which alows zarya to pretty much perma bubble
I know your topic is Total Mayhem but in terms of normal gameplay I feel like they should just give her the old mechanic back because yeah, double bubbling is cool and all but I hate the fact that I have to choose whether to bubble me twice, my team mate twice, or each of us once. The fact that she loses energy so fast now is just incredible. I didn't play the game religiously so I don't have +200 hours but my Tank main was Zarya with about 12ish hours and I know for a fact I could easily hold my own against at most 3 players. Now it feels like I can't even beat a half health Genji without a pocket support or a DPS helping me. Her bubbles don't last as long and she loses energy faster, that seems like one hell of a nerf if you ask me. For a character that has to put herself directly in the line of fire in order to have any sort of chance at helping the team she sure doesn't have very good survivability. TL;DR Zarya sucks and they should give her old mechanic back to her, she shouldn't have to run into the line of fire to gain such little energy just for it to all be gone in 3 seconds and for her to have no contribution to the team.
@@AliothAncalagon previously zarya's bubbles had a cooldown of 8 seconds (i believe) each. Which meant that you get one bubble each 4 seconds essentially. Now you get one bubble per 10 seconds, because the cooldown is shared. So any fight which lasts for long enough to use both of them you aren't getting them back again.
@@AliothAncalagon i'd argue that the other tank being gone under current meta actually increases the occasions where you want to bubble someone else, since between that and lowered cc in game your supports need frequent protection from divers and can't rely on a main tank with a shield to hide from ults.
My ping system is bugging too. Whenever I try using voice lines the ping system interrupts my character and it only seems to happen the first time I use a voice line or after I respawn.

I don't think you mentioned it (if you did I apologize), but the lack of any sort of post game score board is annoying. I rely on the results to let me know how well I did in a match, not necessarily for bragging rights, but so that I can look for areas where I can improve my playing. If I'm doing terrible I want to see it. Now I have to constantly spam the tab key to check the score during a match and it's disruptive and causes me to lose focus. I also want to vocalize once more the fact that 5v5 is a terrible decision to make if almost all of the characters that were kitted and spec'd for 6v6 have had few ability overhauls. If the game was going to be changed to 5v5 then not only did the environments/maps need to reflect that change but the characters needed to be completely re-balanced and have their abilities adjusted for that change. I realize that that may seem like a drastic bit of overhauling but when a change like this is made, even the simplest and most innocuous ability/skill/trait can have a major change on the game play, often times a negative one. The removal of a tank and the boosting of the remaining tank was just a lazy fix, similar to cranking a knob and hoping for the best.
yeah definitely, tanks like roadhog feel really awful to play around as support since they dont have any form of "tank for the team" other than their large hitbox (which is a negative when playing champs like reaper since its easier to hit with full spread). Its so weird to have him in the same role as traditional barrier tanks and being forced into only picking one in a game. They should at least do Tank - Offtank - DPS - DPS - Support, and have offtanks be a role that would include character kits like Brigitte or Zarya.
Once the queues got fixed I’ve only had one big issue, my game disconnects every time I get an Xbox achievement, so strange and frustrating when it happens.
charms in a fps games feels like trinket trash for monetary gains like an epic backpack skins in a first person shooter only other people will see it except you who paid for it or sleek and shiny boots when you can't see your feet in first person.

I completed all of the weekly challenges in 2 days, other than the "Cleaning House" achievement, which is purely luck based and you can't do anything to force it to happen - by the end of the week I had 3 team kills out of the required 20. There are no spare weekly challenges, you have to do ALL of them to get the final reward.
I dont know if anyway else got this "bug" or maybe is my account but i have seen recently that they are deleting progress from my stats, when i start playing i had around 200 hours now is at 107 even my games wins and kills keep decreasing.

I'm surprised there hasn't been much talk about the collission/hitbox issues with the environment. The amount of times I've had issues with lamp posts, trees, and other similarly structured objects has become concerningly high. Shooting around them is inconsistent and my character model has gotten stuck more times than I can count.
Reader beware, you're in for a scare. Or at least a giant rant of several hundred if not over a thousand words explaining why I hate what they've done to Overwatch. An apology is the least Blizzard should give us. Unplayable for the first 3 or 4 days after launch, busted characters, accidently locking half of the cast for a day, glitches, very intense and very infuriating monetization, and just the fact that it's so stripped down from the first one. There isn't even stuff like being on fire, or medals at the end of matches, or even match statistics like it used to give. There aren't Plays of the Game being shown at the end of the match, you have to actively look for your highlights now. And to top it all off, this isn't even really a new game, it's just a big update to the first one. Hell, they didn't even try to hide it. When getting Overwatch 2, it didn't show it as downloading a new game, it showed it as downloading an update to Overwatch, and once it's done, no more Overwatch, just Overwatch 2, the sequel that at the time of writing is just kind of objectively worse. After playing it for a bit, I'm even finding the new maps to be kind of worse. Mostly because they feel like they're designed to be a bit more realistic for whatever setting you're in, like a city or whatever, whereas in the first one the aesthetic was there but actual level design for a game like this was the first priority. Does anybody know what I mean, or am I the only one? Also the charms suck. They don't even make sure they go somewhere that makes sense for the character. I play Sigma, and when I looked at one on him, it doesn't jut off of the devices around his wrists like you'd expect. It's just this little metal rod sticking out of his glove, or presumably just his hand if you're not using the skin that gives him gloves. And my last complaint in this enormous essay of rage is the price of old cosmetics. I already had all of them so I luckily don't have to worry about it, but how do they justify it costing over $15,000 for all of them when the vast majority of cosmetics in the first game were considered common drops and cost very little to buy if you wanted to. Now they're trying to launch up the price of the same stuff, most of it still extremely boring and mundane since it was designed as something common and easy to get, as if it's all legendary just because it came from the first game.
Ima be honest, as a new overwatch 2 player and I also bought the battlepass, I haven't had any problems with the game and it's pretty fun, took me 2 days of "grind" to get all the heroes
Regarding the costume that the guy couldn't buy despite having enough to buy it, it was locked because its an event skin, the icon next to its name means it's exclusive to that event. At least that's how it used to work, if it's different for OW2 can someone correct me?
One of the new features of OW2 is the monetised shop which event skins can appear in, it makes it funnier because they either forgot to remove the lock for when skins appear in the shop or they’re putting things up for sale when they’re not in the shop.
I think the Summer and Halloween event skins are broken. No other event skins have prices next to them and they aren't purchasable, yet these skins (on all heroes) have prices listed. It's just another pain point for players since its confusing as to why some event skins have prices and not others.
I don't know if they changed moria, but I usually play an aggressive style with her while healing. And somehow I was not getting hits with her. A character if in range will lock and damage an opponent. I don't know why. But it feels so much harder to make an impact with one of my most played characters. I've also dealt with a crapton of lag I'm the games I've played yesterday (yes I realized that may affect my moria game. But still). When I was playing ash, multiple times I threw my dynamite while on the run it clear a small space. And after my throw, the dynamite jump often to places that it just bounced back.
They removed her auto lock on a while back in overwatch 1. Imo she is more fair that way you just have to aim with her now and dynamite bounces off walls and rooftops, it can only land on surfaces that players can also stand on.
There's no reason why Moira should have 1) Constant damage 2) A large damage window 3) A method of damaging people she's no where near 4) Life steal 5) Medium range capabilities 6) An evasive ability that renders her invulnerable She was built for the players with little to no skill and I'm tired of people abusing that. I know she's strong because I verse her constantly and have a couple hours logged on her myself. She's on of the easiest characters to play and I don't understand how she keeps flying under the radar. Even Reaper got nerfed when I felt like he was just fine how he was, you needed to be close to the enemy and be able to land clean shots. If you didn't do so then you didn't do damage and you didn't get healed. His wraith form also didn't make him invisible and grant a movement speed buff
there have been a reduction in the angle from which moira locks on, but that happened a year or so ago. Moira is one of the two heroes who actually received no changes at all between ow1 and 2. However, the general lag, aiming issues, changes to hitboxes and weird hud decisions makes it harder to do things effectively with any hero. One basic thing that blizz hasn't figured out about customization too, is the ability to have weapon and character skin independent of each other. We can't even do that. That alone sets my expectations for character customization to rock bottom.

So overwatch was incredibly successful financially... So greed makes them to all out and try and extort users. The only way this will stop is if people don't pay but unfortunately enough will that this will not stop.
Overwatch 2 being free could of been a huge success and a massive win but of course they had to mess it up with terrible launch with not enough server space and horribly atrocious micro transactions and prices.
If people hate OW2 so much, they should stop playing it. Blizzard doesn't care about negative responses to the game, as long as their haters keep playing and keep paying. They knew they could just re-release OW1 and keep it alive with minimal effort on skins and features. Why? Because it's exactly what they did for OW1, and it took years for that game to die. Even after its "death", it still had a decent playerbase until it got axed for OW2. Meanwhile, they made bank.
This still just proves why TF2 has lasted 9 years up to Overwatch’s release, while Overwatch itself lasted 6, for a sequel that was just bad. Its not even a full sequel. Its just.. Overwatch 1.5
The teamkill achievement i got last week its hard but do able its mostly rng and situational dont like it 10 would of been reasonable, the challenges feel more like work then fun to do cause you always have to play at your best to do them so your roster narrows to the heroes your more likely to dominate
That's how Overwatch has always been. You get DC'd in ranked, you're supposed to have X amount of time to get back in but every time it's happened to me, I've gotten a loss and a 30-60 minute ban. I think it increases every time, starting from a warning, so if he got a 60, it wasn't his first time.
I have this weird bug that nobody seems to mention. Whenever I start up OW2 it starts like usual, but when I get to the menu my game suddenly closes and opens up a new game. But when I play in a group of friends I am able to get past the menu for like 10 or so matches before it boots us all out and starts up another game we're able to play as a group. Really weird.
Another bug I find frustrating is the inaccurate display of my Career Profile. It changes randomly daily. I've at least played 5-6 hours of Kiriko but still it says 15, 7, 12 and 6 minutes randomly.
@yongyea i just tweeted to you about this I reached out to blizzard about the price difference on league tokens for PC & console. After saying they'll look into it they decided to raise the console price.. they "fixed" it really quickly the price difference was pc 23.99usd and console 19.99usd now console is 23.99usd... I wanted to believe in them to do the right thing but in my heart I knew they wouldn't 😓 I'm sorry gaming community for trying to help

if you try to report a player during a game, it brings up the dropdown menu like in OW1, but it doesn't give you a mouse pointer to operate it and click the menu buttons - your mouse continues to control your character, so you're stuck in the report screen, you can't report anyone, and you can't exit that interface without hitting escape.
Fixed since, also you can use the P (recent players) tab to do that. But still cant do anything other than endorse players on the N (endorse players) tab -- you know where it displays who used what hero in the last match...so check it here, close, then recent players, then you may be able to block/avoid/report....or send a friend request..
you should be grateful that they even allow you to exit that menu with escape. they could have just as easily make so that if you open that menu you can't close it anymore.

That’s exactly what everyone is doing that isn’t playing and how this is getting blown out of proportion.
I didn’t play at launch and leading up I assumed the gameplay would still be shit (I hated the Balance Brig and onwards OW1) had a similar attitude as everyone else.
I’m playing a game that feels like Overwatch 1 again and it’s been my go-to game 2 days after launch: I haven’t experienced any bugs at all (just my own buff/nerf ideas but nothing like Brig and onward OW1)
The biggest thing for me was I got my full inventory from my before console to my now PC. No other game does that really and I’m super grateful of it.
The store isn’t any worse than say Apex and how the game obviously plans to remain F2P. If you played the first game and shared my sentiment about the first game I’d highly suggest you check it out yourself.
Its not as bad as reddit (always) makes it seem. Me and a group of 5 to 7 friends are enjoying non-ranked games and nothing major did happen at all. It shouldnt be called Overwatch 2 tho, shouldnt be a "new game" at all and I believe its just a cash grab from an agonizing dying company.

Which is as good as nothing. Especially if you work on those days lmao, double xp weekends only benefit people who are home those specific days. They should just give accounts some hours of double XP. That ticks down whenever your logged in. Like 8 hours of double XP. Instead of having random dates selected.

I thought they should have just given free currency to buy a legendary skin since not everyone cares about reaper and would allow new players to get a skin for their hero even if it was an old anniversary skin but old players could get a new skin from shop or Halloween event for hero of their choosing or just say screw single cosmetic and get 1 or 2 battle passes

The funny thing about the lack of 'On Fire' meter is that the voicelines are still in there for when you are doing exceptionally well. You just have to listen for them after you do a good job. They either merely disabled all the flair of it or they are so incompetent that they couldn't actually remove it from the game properly.
Just get rid of meter and make character outline more radiant like the sun for easier tracking course nothing like team fire blinding enemy team :D

Seems to me the Mei glitch is the server not understanding that she even placed her wall to begin with - it just does not exist. The players client shows that she did, but the server is not detecting it so she is forcefully placed on the ground again because in the server's mind she is on the floor. Even with the weird shots that were shown in the clip, it just seems to me that those are shots that would have hit if she were on the ground rather than on the wall. I'd be curious to see if enemy players can shoot through the wall to hit friendlies because of that bug.

It's because they don't. Most Blizzard employees are contract workers, so they only have around 12 months to learn the game engine.
I miss the times when people asked "when is the next game coming out" and you got "when it is ready" answer.
Then when the game came out it was (mostly) ready and needed pretty much just some extra polish that could only came from player feedback.

They pulled the biggest BS of any Gaming company in the Industry up today, and the brainwashed OW Gamer Seals just sit their and clap and keep being hyped. This is the worst treatment I've ever seen by a Gaming Company and added to my reason to not buy anything Blizzard again. Don't get hyped for Diablo IV, because it will the same mess during release, and will be build around monetization, and also a Path of Exile - Lost Ark clone. I won't buy it for sure.
The funniest bug in the game was Bastion having infinite ultimate ammo, And their fix was to disable Torb for an hour before disabling the actual bugged character.

Biggest one for me is that my Widowmaker Skin Noire is locked and not in my account at all after the merge which needs to be know more. due to the skin being a pre-order bonus and just buying a code can be $300usd or more.
Same here along with several of my legendary event skins being gone. I reached out to support and I got the boilerplate message about recognizing the general problems with entire inventories being missing which doesn’t address the unknowable amount of skins that have been lifted from player inventories
Same, I scrambled to merge my accounts mostly for that skin and of course it’s nowhere to be found. My Dark Wolf Hanzo isn’t there, either and others have mentioned missing Remix skins in general.
Idk if you’re on console I thought it was locked out for me but when I clicked the manage game and add on Xbox I had to install the skin itself for some reason, then it worked for me.

Definitely a lot of elements removed from ow2 but then some weird things still in it:
-Orisa’s reworked moveset hasn’t been updated on her highlight intros so you’ll see her shooting and holding nothing.
-One of Kiriko’s achievements/trophies is bugged; I think it works fine on some consoles but for PC and PlayStation there’s been a lot of complaints about the player fulfilling it over its requirements but still not getting it.
-Despite there being no “on fire” status, the characters (even the new ones) claim that they’re on fire anyway.

Really? Thats odd in Orisa's case. I mean in OW1 at least torb still has an upgraded turret in an highlight intro or two despite it having been pulled from the game VERY early on. Id think Orisa's intro would have been untouched... Man they really half assed that re-release. And killed ow1 in the process so people cant just go to the superior original one anymore.

In addition to all the major issues, there's also a lot of minor ones guaranteed to enhance any annoyance returning OW1 players would feel. Such as the random highlight intro option being broken and the replays having the option to pin but not unpin. Very minor issues in isolation, but in addition to everything else just further sours the user experience. Also further enhances the feeling of the whole game being rushed and broken when things that have been around OW1 for so long with no issues are in this state.
I will never understand how games that spend 5+ years in development *STILL* release with an insane amount of bugs/glitches 🥴😩

He didnt even mention the comp rank bug right now. It is legit placing people in bronze 5-4 even if you won every match in a row. Like i was previously gold-plat healer in ow1. doing 10-15k on average healing a game. Same healing stat won more games than lost doing placements and got put in bronze 4 yet my teamates all got silver 2. I have even heard GM's were getting placed into bronze 5. And being unable to rank up because every 7 games it replaces them in bronze 5
This literally happened to me and I was kinda pissed, I'm glad it's not just me though. I'm typically a high gold to low plat player because I don't feel the need to live inside a video game but at the point where I have a positive K/D and more than 5000 healing every match while winning and get placed in bronze there's an issue

The ranked game disconnect is super annoying, last night I was on a 5 game win streak and on the tail end of the 6th game I got dc'd, given a loss and suspended from ranked games for an hour

My biggest issue with the game is that I feel like I can't get anything without spending money. I really think increasing the weeklys to give out 600 would fix it while still leaving enough room to grind for some of the more expensive stuff.

@TreBsta do you know how many weeks are in a year? at the moment completing every weekly possible every week in a year rewards 3000ish currency, with Legendaries costing 1900. Can you imagine how dead Genshin impact would be if f2players got 1 character a year.

Well the fact that he does more damage if the target hits a wall (correct me if I'm wrong) and it still took 3 fully charged punches to kill a stationary, non-combative target with 200 health is absurd
Free Reaper skin, yeah, what if you don't play Reaper? Also they're still probably going to sell all the event cosmetics for fat cash that we were unlocking through GAMEPLAY for the past 6 years. This honestly doesn't fix any good will, it just sweeps the monetization issues under the rug.
1000-2000 credits would have been too generous. They can't make sales that way, they've got to give away a skin that would normally been for an event.

With the amount of issues this game had, one has to wonder if they even did any quality assurance.
So I took a break from OW1 like early September. Didn't merge my account with OW2 before launch cause I didn't know it was gonna get shut down.. did I lose all my skins because I didn't merge before launch?
Glad to say that you did not lose anything. Just need to merge that account correctly when it allows it. I also did not merge before the expire date but still was able to merge and get my stuff back after OW2 launched.

For the Zarya Tankyness "meme": this was for total mayhem, an arcade mode with greatly reduced CDs (a mode that isnt really balanced and more just "fun" mayhem) which alows zarya to pretty much perma bubble
I know your topic is Total Mayhem but in terms of normal gameplay I feel like they should just give her the old mechanic back because yeah, double bubbling is cool and all but I hate the fact that I have to choose whether to bubble me twice, my team mate twice, or each of us once. The fact that she loses energy so fast now is just incredible. I didn't play the game religiously so I don't have +200 hours but my Tank main was Zarya with about 12ish hours and I know for a fact I could easily hold my own against at most 3 players. Now it feels like I can't even beat a half health Genji without a pocket support or a DPS helping me. Her bubbles don't last as long and she loses energy faster, that seems like one hell of a nerf if you ask me. For a character that has to put herself directly in the line of fire in order to have any sort of chance at helping the team she sure doesn't have very good survivability.
TL;DR Zarya sucks and they should give her old mechanic back to her, she shouldn't have to run into the line of fire to gain such little energy just for it to all be gone in 3 seconds and for her to have no contribution to the team.
Sombra's nerfed hacking is the problem, not Zarya. All you needed to do to end stalemates in old Total Mayhem is Sombra Ult.
Fr the one match I played in mayhem was practically endless because of Zarya on both teams
@@AliothAncalagon previously zarya's bubbles had a cooldown of 8 seconds (i believe) each. Which meant that you get one bubble each 4 seconds essentially. Now you get one bubble per 10 seconds, because the cooldown is shared. So any fight which lasts for long enough to use both of them you aren't getting them back again.
@@AliothAncalagon i'd argue that the other tank being gone under current meta actually increases the occasions where you want to bubble someone else, since between that and lowered cc in game your supports need frequent protection from divers and can't rely on a main tank with a shield to hide from ults.
My ping system is bugging too. Whenever I try using voice lines the ping system interrupts my character and it only seems to happen the first time I use a voice line or after I respawn.
I'll start playing when you don't have to sign up an email and you can just play like a normal game..
Considering cross-play, I doubt we would see that day :/

I don't think you mentioned it (if you did I apologize), but the lack of any sort of post game score board is annoying. I rely on the results to let me know how well I did in a match, not necessarily for bragging rights, but so that I can look for areas where I can improve my playing. If I'm doing terrible I want to see it. Now I have to constantly spam the tab key to check the score during a match and it's disruptive and causes me to lose focus.
I also want to vocalize once more the fact that 5v5 is a terrible decision to make if almost all of the characters that were kitted and spec'd for 6v6 have had few ability overhauls. If the game was going to be changed to 5v5 then not only did the environments/maps need to reflect that change but the characters needed to be completely re-balanced and have their abilities adjusted for that change. I realize that that may seem like a drastic bit of overhauling but when a change like this is made, even the simplest and most innocuous ability/skill/trait can have a major change on the game play, often times a negative one. The removal of a tank and the boosting of the remaining tank was just a lazy fix, similar to cranking a knob and hoping for the best.
yeah definitely, tanks like roadhog feel really awful to play around as support since they dont have any form of "tank for the team" other than their large hitbox (which is a negative when playing champs like reaper since its easier to hit with full spread). Its so weird to have him in the same role as traditional barrier tanks and being forced into only picking one in a game. They should at least do Tank - Offtank - DPS - DPS - Support, and have offtanks be a role that would include character kits like Brigitte or Zarya.
Once the queues got fixed I’ve only had one big issue, my game disconnects every time I get an Xbox achievement, so strange and frustrating when it happens.

When you miss loot boxes to earn cosmetics you know they screwed up.
I completed all of the weekly challenges in 2 days, other than the "Cleaning House" achievement, which is purely luck based and you can't do anything to force it to happen - by the end of the week I had 3 team kills out of the required 20. There are no spare weekly challenges, you have to do ALL of them to get the final reward.
I dont know if anyway else got this "bug" or maybe is my account but i have seen recently that they are deleting progress from my stats, when i start playing i had around 200 hours now is at 107 even my games wins and kills keep decreasing.
You're regaining the time that you spent playing the game. Around 8 days will soon be added back on to your life. I'm so jealous.

I'm surprised there hasn't been much talk about the collission/hitbox issues with the environment. The amount of times I've had issues with lamp posts, trees, and other similarly structured objects has become concerningly high. Shooting around them is inconsistent and my character model has gotten stuck more times than I can count.
Reader beware, you're in for a scare. Or at least a giant rant of several hundred if not over a thousand words explaining why I hate what they've done to Overwatch.
An apology is the least Blizzard should give us. Unplayable for the first 3 or 4 days after launch, busted characters, accidently locking half of the cast for a day, glitches, very intense and very infuriating monetization, and just the fact that it's so stripped down from the first one. There isn't even stuff like being on fire, or medals at the end of matches, or even match statistics like it used to give. There aren't Plays of the Game being shown at the end of the match, you have to actively look for your highlights now. And to top it all off, this isn't even really a new game, it's just a big update to the first one. Hell, they didn't even try to hide it. When getting Overwatch 2, it didn't show it as downloading a new game, it showed it as downloading an update to Overwatch, and once it's done, no more Overwatch, just Overwatch 2, the sequel that at the time of writing is just kind of objectively worse. After playing it for a bit, I'm even finding the new maps to be kind of worse. Mostly because they feel like they're designed to be a bit more realistic for whatever setting you're in, like a city or whatever, whereas in the first one the aesthetic was there but actual level design for a game like this was the first priority. Does anybody know what I mean, or am I the only one?
Also the charms suck. They don't even make sure they go somewhere that makes sense for the character. I play Sigma, and when I looked at one on him, it doesn't jut off of the devices around his wrists like you'd expect. It's just this little metal rod sticking out of his glove, or presumably just his hand if you're not using the skin that gives him gloves. And my last complaint in this enormous essay of rage is the price of old cosmetics. I already had all of them so I luckily don't have to worry about it, but how do they justify it costing over $15,000 for all of them when the vast majority of cosmetics in the first game were considered common drops and cost very little to buy if you wanted to. Now they're trying to launch up the price of the same stuff, most of it still extremely boring and mundane since it was designed as something common and easy to get, as if it's all legendary just because it came from the first game.

Regarding the costume that the guy couldn't buy despite having enough to buy it, it was locked because its an event skin, the icon next to its name means it's exclusive to that event.
At least that's how it used to work, if it's different for OW2 can someone correct me?
One of the new features of OW2 is the monetised shop which event skins can appear in, it makes it funnier because they either forgot to remove the lock for when skins appear in the shop or they’re putting things up for sale when they’re not in the shop.
I think the Summer and Halloween event skins are broken. No other event skins have prices next to them and they aren't purchasable, yet these skins (on all heroes) have prices listed. It's just another pain point for players since its confusing as to why some event skins have prices and not others.
I don't know if they changed moria, but I usually play an aggressive style with her while healing. And somehow I was not getting hits with her. A character if in range will lock and damage an opponent. I don't know why. But it feels so much harder to make an impact with one of my most played characters.
I've also dealt with a crapton of lag I'm the games I've played yesterday (yes I realized that may affect my moria game. But still). When I was playing ash, multiple times I threw my dynamite while on the run it clear a small space. And after my throw, the dynamite jump often to places that it just bounced back.
They removed her auto lock on a while back in overwatch 1. Imo she is more fair that way you just have to aim with her now and dynamite bounces off walls and rooftops, it can only land on surfaces that players can also stand on.
Eh to be fair Moira's right click isn't that hard to use even without the auto tracking.
There's no reason why Moira should have
1) Constant damage
2) A large damage window
3) A method of damaging people she's no where near
4) Life steal
5) Medium range capabilities
6) An evasive ability that renders her invulnerable
She was built for the players with little to no skill and I'm tired of people abusing that. I know she's strong because I verse her constantly and have a couple hours logged on her myself. She's on of the easiest characters to play and I don't understand how she keeps flying under the radar. Even Reaper got nerfed when I felt like he was just fine how he was, you needed to be close to the enemy and be able to land clean shots. If you didn't do so then you didn't do damage and you didn't get healed. His wraith form also didn't make him invisible and grant a movement speed buff
there have been a reduction in the angle from which moira locks on, but that happened a year or so ago. Moira is one of the two heroes who actually received no changes at all between ow1 and 2. However, the general lag, aiming issues, changes to hitboxes and weird hud decisions makes it harder to do things effectively with any hero. I mean i have 250 hours playing zen and i currently have trouble aiming friendly orbs at teammates. it might also be that since every other character in game has received some updates moira has relatively fallen behind in effectiveness. Also, an easy way to spot a bronze/low silver player right here - that would be the guy who thinks moira is broken.

I gotta hand it to Blizzard. I thought making a glorified DLC disguised as a sequel game would be about adding to previous content and improving.

Last night, I beat "Iron Storm: World War Zero" a single player FPS from 2002. Got 17 hours of enjoyment and it was going for a measly 60 cents on gog during their anniversary sale last week.

One basic thing that blizz hasn't figured out about customization too, is the ability to have weapon and character skin independent of each other. We can't even do that. That alone sets my expectations for character customization to rock bottom.

Overwatch 2 being free could of been a huge success and a massive win but of course they had to mess it up with terrible launch with not enough server space and horribly atrocious micro transactions and prices.

If people hate OW2 so much, they should stop playing it. Blizzard doesn't care about negative responses to the game, as long as their haters keep playing and keep paying. They knew they could just re-release OW1 and keep it alive with minimal effort on skins and features. Why? Because it's exactly what they did for OW1, and it took years for that game to die. Even after its "death", it still had a decent playerbase until it got axed for OW2. Meanwhile, they made bank.

Ironic that you can now play Hanamura more in Heroes of the Storm than you can in Overwatch itself.
This still just proves why TF2 has lasted 9 years up to Overwatch’s release, while Overwatch itself lasted 6, for a sequel that was just bad. Its not even a full sequel. Its just.. Overwatch 1.5
The teamkill achievement i got last week its hard but do able its mostly rng and situational dont like it 10 would of been reasonable, the challenges feel more like work then fun to do cause you always have to play at your best to do them so your roster narrows to the heroes your more likely to dominate
That's how Overwatch has always been. You get DC'd in ranked, you're supposed to have X amount of time to get back in but every time it's happened to me, I've gotten a loss and a 30-60 minute ban. I think it increases every time, starting from a warning, so if he got a 60, it wasn't his first time.
I have this weird bug that nobody seems to mention.
Whenever I start up OW2 it starts like usual, but when I get to the menu my game suddenly closes and opens up a new game.
But when I play in a group of friends I am able to get past the menu for like 10 or so matches before it boots us all out and starts up another game we're able to play as a group. Really weird.
My progress tracker is bugged and says i have fewer time spent in each hero and won’t track elims
Another bug I find frustrating is the inaccurate display of my Career Profile.
It changes randomly daily.
I've at least played 5-6 hours of Kiriko but still it says 15, 7, 12 and 6 minutes randomly.

I reached out to blizzard about the price difference on league tokens for PC & console. After saying they'll look into it they decided to raise the console price.. they "fixed" it really quickly the price difference was pc 23.99usd and console 19.99usd now console is 23.99usd... I wanted to believe in them to do the right thing but in my heart I knew they wouldn't 😓
