I don't know how much you get told this, but your dedication to ripping these "games" apart is truly remarkable. I don't have the patients or brain power to deal with what you've gone through.
I'm liking the new production value that you're putting into the video! Though at least to me, the leap of some of the stuff is a bit jarring, at least enough that I for once thought of leaving a comment. I'm more of a fan of watching a video where it's 'a guy talking about stuff' which most of the other videos are like and most of this video is. It's mostly the intro that put me off a little. I do like some of the choices you made like the background music not making everything sound so silent and showing what song started playing.
it's all in the pursuit of exploring my creative abilities and editing powers, so some of it will be rough as i only improve over time. i appreciate the feedback though, i view the intros as my own way to express myself and make my videos unique though and definitely some people will be put off by it. Just the risk i take
17:19 It really hurts me when some of these "games" have (somehow) found a good idea and proceeded to ruin it. A battle royale where you force players to engage with each other not due to a shrinking safe-zone but steal each other's time like in the film triggered might've actually been an interesting idea.
THANK YOU for including the songs you have in the background your taste in tracks is phenomenal and that Sonic CD song you got stuck in my head from past vids I was trying to remember its name good looks
thanks for putting captions in this video, i don't really like using the youtube autogenerated captions. if i have one critique though, i wish the sentences weren't split in multiple captions, it's a little difficult to read. but still, thank you for the captions. many youtubers don't bother with them, and i'm left with the cumbersome autogenerated captions.
I mostly listen to these to prepare for sleep. The formulaic content and calm narration work really well. I really appreciated the part where you went "In case you are just listening" before describing things. xoxo
Intro was really cool, love the way you keep the video itself visually interesting, it's very easy to just phone-in by just talking over gameplay of the video, but you showing the social media/game website, steam page, and then the game itself. I'm not even sure what's the state of the game nowadays, I suppose it's still available for PC and android, it's free and if I remember correctly less than 15GB. I love the nonsensical postive reviews of vdsc battle royal "i can really connect to the game" lol
They mean it literally-being robots, they can easily connect to digital services
Yeah, I've seen a lot of scam games that have bot reviews, a lot of them talk about it as if it was a life changing experience (positive), but it's even funnier if you turn on "all languages", sometimes there are very long reviews on languages that the game doesn't even support with the label "50 users found this review useful"
@@spice-xReal living people out here connecting to this shite crypto game from the damned Matrix

Of course that crypto "killer whales" show would feature men wearing sunglasses indoors lol.
I think one of my favorite parts of these newer videos is the inclusion of live reactions to the game. Specifically with moments like 17:10, 18:14, and 20:35. I put a high value on genuine live reactions like that, I think it adds a lot in terms of entertainment.
I've started recording a hot mic channel on all my footage so that I can do that in every video!

really appreciate jauwn's descent into the analog horror aesthetic
It reminds me of Valle Verde

Between the captions and the description of what's happening onscreen in the fishing game, I really appreciate the thought you've put into accessibility. A great plus to already engaging videos, thank you!

A few years ago i was thinking, mm the idea of being able to bring your skins to other games we're a good idea, on that year i started a videogame degree... Yeah no one wants to program 99999999 skins from other games to yours.
It just shows how the folks pushing that line had zero knowledge of videogames (obviously the best type of people to REVOLUTIONIZE GAMING), or else they were blatantly lying to people to scam their money.
like the best way ive ever seen something like that sorta done is with game engines that double as platforms, think Roblox. But even then if one Roblox game has special stuff you cant just bring that stuff to another game in roblox, lol. only your avatar works like that
Only way to make that many skins workable is a healthy mod community TBH-and even then…
Plus I do like to have at least a somewhat cohesive theme in my games. I don't necessarily need to play a medieval type game and have someone with a high tech space NFT walk past me.
EVERY game should be a shovelware asset flip using the exact same engine, graphics, and gameplay mechanics. That way it would be simple to import skins from one to another. It's genius!
No fucking way Phantom Galaxies cost 20m to make, I'd say they took most of that and ran

Wildly off topic but thank you so much for adding cc to your video. I know it's a lot of work for very little reward but as someone with auditory processing issues this means the world to me
Also I spent the entire video wrestling with my cat to brush out his matting and that seems easier then playing any of those crypto games lmao
I’m so glad you noticed because it’s something I just recently started doing. Someone had reached out previously and pointed out how the TH-cam auto captions are rather poor and I agreed. I do base my captions off the auto captions just to save time so sometimes the words are a little off but it’s still better than the default ones.
Glad you could enjoy the video 😌

I knew the Blowfish studio logo reminded me of something but it didn’t set in until I saw the cargo ship you’re supposed to defend in Phantom Galaxies and now I’m kinda sad. If you didn’t know there’s an animated series that was supposed to launch on TH-cam under the same name made by the guy behind the Starscream OVA (he was just paid to animate the series I don’t think he was involved in the project any further than that). It currently has only one complete episode (aside from the short film). Guess that’s where some of the budget went…I only saw the short film but it still got me interested in the game for a while before I forgot about it so it’s kinda sad to see this is what it actually ended up being.

Holy shit, these Oh Baby Kart item boxes are literally ripped off from Mario Kart, you will never convince me otherwise
10:17 Even more baffling when the first voice is clearly a TTS voice, not an actor
Just the risk i take
12:23 but hey, at least they got a graph that looks like a cute cat
17:19 It really hurts me when some of these "games" have (somehow) found a good idea and proceeded to ruin it. A battle royale where you force players to engage with each other not due to a shrinking safe-zone but steal each other's time like in the film triggered might've actually been an interesting idea.
the way you said "i soon found myself in a crevasse, unable to move" so calmly as if this is totally normal had me dying.
Great content, your videos reminds me of Josh Strife Hayes "Worst MMO ever" series, keep it up!
Yeah unfortunately the TH-cam captions system is very clunky so that’s hard to avoid
@@jauwn understandable, i appreciate the attempt though.

I would like to recommend some crypto games you haven't review so far and are (or were) somewhat popular: Mir4 and Ni no Kuni Crossworlds, both are RPGs, idle/grindy/auto type RPG (like Black Desert). Mir4 was meh, Ni No Kuni was visually impressive, sad they had to use that IP for crypto BS
Ni No Kumi went crypto? Well that's even more disappointing
@@darkunykorn404 yes, for that game specifically, I don't remember what was the use the 2 tokens had within the game, I played it and grinded to level 70 and had a decent build and never had to use said tokens nor spend a dime on it, still not the ni no kuni experience you would expect. I'm not even sure what's the state of the game nowadays, I suppose it's still available for PC and android, it's free and if I remember correctly less than 15GB.
