Do read Andre’s autobiography called Open. Helps explain his comments about the younger players ‘growing up’ under the spotlight and even his ‘bad boy’ label which is often raised but without context. One of the best autobiographies I’ve read ... you get a genuine feel for the man, the person ... and how Steffi brought him great love and happiness.
Agreed. Honest, raw.. youcan feel his emotions, highs and lows..much more respect for Andre after reading the autobio. Love all the parts where he talks about Steffi
These are truly great champions and even greater people! My two favourite players on the tour back then, and it’s so cool that they got together and made each other even better.
@@peterlustig1807 and you should learn a lesson from Andre the gentleman, he loves his wife just how she is an attractive inside and out lady who he so obviouly adores..
Don't care how many slams Serena won or will win in the future. There's only one female player who I loved watching & that was Steffi. To this day, I haven't watched women's tennis nor followed it the day she called it a career..The best there is, the best there was & the best there ever will be..stats be damned.
I so agree with you 💯% Yes, Serena is a great player there’s no doubt about that but Steffi Graf elevated tennis into an art form. The way she played was just sublime. Phenomenal player! Steffi is the greatest ever!
Steffi is my alltime fave. Hard to imagine that she was still competing against Venus and Serena in their early careers. Graf retired ranked world #3 in a season (1999) in which she won the FO, was in the Wimbledon final and reached the AO Quarter Final. With a somewhat decent performance at the USO, she would have re-claimed world #1 position in 1999. But she had retired before the USO started.
Steffi & Andre, seem to know exactly what Arena they are in, and how to appreciate & maneuver successful threw it, without too much drama. Their focus is benevolent it seems, their hearts are full of unconditional love & appreciation. They know how to keep it simple & to the point. 🙋🏾♀️💯
I love what Andre said! (2:31 - 2:42) "If you lose, you don’t learn something from it, that’s all it is. It’s a loss. If you say something regretful, and you know you don’t learn from it, then all you did was hurt."
Great to see these two Lovely people back at the Aussie grand slam after all these years I’m amazed that they don’t get competitive when they play one another I suppose they are very busy helping with their fantastic projects 👍👍👍
Heartbreaking to hear her say when they play tennis now they just try not to get hurt. It's a funny quip, but it always makes me sad that fierce champions one day will not be able to perform as they once did, especially 2 of the legends. When she was in her prime she was frightening! I felt sorry for everyone playing against her, including Monica seles. 2 wonderful folks. Hopefully they stay healthy and together for a lifetime.
Steffi could have won more Grand slams if she had not retired. She knew when she wanted to retire and move on to other things in life. She won the golden slam. Great accomplishment. Steffi will always be my favorite female tennis. I started watching her when she won her first grand slam.
Love Andre and Steffi! Miss watching Andre on the court but looks like he's done even better off the court. His groundstrokes will always be the best. Gave me so much happiness watching him growing up.
@GeorgeHenryThomas lol how can you state most men. That is a silly statement to make. Just face it, it's a man in a wig. So you must be gay, but good for you and most men.
Honestly, Agassi was never really a "wild child" or a "bad boy" of tennis. He was pretty well-behaved, and only his clothing style seemed remotely rebellious at the time. It's become a sort of false cultural memory that he had tantrums and blow-ups like McEnroe or Kyrgios.
You obviously didn't see the incident where he spat at the umpire, and then denied it, but unfortunately for him it was captured on film. He has also been in trouble for the bad language he used, on more than one occasion. Not my idea of "pretty well behaved."
@Illya Kuryakin Kimoto Date comeback was great for her, however it doesn't show anything in the progression of the game? What point are you trying to make. Did mens tennis stop evolving in the 70's because of Ken Rosewell accomplishments in his 40's. That makes no sense, IMHO?🤔
yes the only player to win all 4 grandslams + olympic gold in the same year! got her 22nd grand slam by age 30. she has the craftiness and smarts unlike Serena who just uses brute strength.
@@philippboetcher9959 yes I also really like Naomi's style but it's too early to say something about her maybe we can start talking about her being one of the greatest after she'll won 10 majors, but not now
both aging well...that what happens when u keep a regular exercise routine.and have loving relationship.... if u have a stressful marriage u will age too..but they are fine cause both live each other and no.money issue and exercise
Same here, but thankfully Naomi has brought me back. And also thankfully Tsitsipas has showed up for me coming up behind Federer. No disrespect intended to the other players. It's just that I prefer to watch players who don't groan their way through a match.
I think that was Andre @ 1:14 telling the fans to “relax” trying to get autographs ✍️ from Steffi. I love how Andre is very protective of her. I’m sure Steffi is the same way with Andre. Tennis royalty and genuinely loving 🥰 couple! “Steffi we miss you on the tennis courts!”… from a humble and loyal fan!
Lovely couple. Steffi just gets more and more beautiful. She's stunning. I bet she could still give a few WTA players a run for their money too. Loved her when she played, and still love her. Zero ego.
Its not a message for nick..that part was a life lesson from a very philosophical humbled person...why put that as a title. Probably more views and comments if you didnt.
They are a very classy couple. Always loved them both individually as players and as a married couple. Love Andre’s quote: “tennis is what you do, not what you are”.
Nobody dominated tennis the way steffi has. Serena and Roger are great but not as versatile as Steffi. You put Steffi on any surface and she will deliver. 4 times Australian open, 6 times French, 7 times Wimbledon and 5 times us open winner. 107 tournament titles to her name and the all time record never to be beaten, the golden slam. This woman had a remarkable career
Andre is so lucky to have Steffi in his life and do is Steffi! Andre is a very caring, loving and understanding ! There is mutual respect and admiration for each other here! That is how a marriage should be and no doubt they will marry till fealty does us apart! To beautiful souls blend together! Love them!
All the money and fame and they both understand that it means nothing. Being the best people you can be and helping others and taking care of your family is what matters. Especially for what Andre went through growing up he's probably always going to remember that he's better and providing his kids better than he had it.
Andre use to talk about how immature you are when you grow up as a pampered tennis prodigy. I see what he is talking about now. It must have been very difficult as he said, "growing up in the public eye" But, he has certainly grown up as a man. Fatherhood is a wonderful thing just for the fact that it helps you to become selfless. What nice people they are and what great work they do.
What a great couple. No ego, pure humbleness!!
Steffi has aged gracefully. Very beautiful. Still my all time fav
My favourite too. She was the best and always behaved impeccably.

I first met Andre Agassi back in 1987. He was a good kid. He hated to practice, but always a good guy. I'm proud to see what he's become.
How humble these legends are , could see the love and respect for each other .. Hats off !

I love how Andre looks at Steffi when she speaks.
Your observation confirms that Andre still dotes over Steffi, their lives together, a honeymoon that will never cease.
Notice how they both look at each other? A couple in love.
Perhaps he is asking himself: „has my wife the biggest nose in wta-history?“
It’s so obvious how much he adores her.

Amen! Steffi wouldn't beat Serena 7 or 8 times out of 10. Too good an athlete and would have destroyed Serena in the mental department.
Apologies, I meant Steffi would've beaten Serena 7 or 8 out of ten times.
Barra. Garbage. I’m a Steffi tragic, but to diminish Serena’s talent and mental toughness is delusional.
@@Ineddiblehulk Hi. I didn't do that. I merely stated that Steffi was superior in those areas.

The bias in media in australia where an interview with two sporting legends is titled about a message for kyrgios
a shameful attempt to make headlines, no respect for these legends!
