Billie Jean King is one of the most successful tennis players of all time, winning 39 major titles and was part of the victorious US team in seven Federation Cups and nine Wightman Cups. King won the legendary “battle of the sexes” match against Bobby Riggs during her fight for the equal recognition of women’s tennis. After King protested the gender pay gap, the US Open became the first major tournament to offer equal prize money.

Great champion, even greater person. She was the first woman player I ever saw, and just loved her from then. Loved her serve and volley game, and her warm personality. Finished her recent book "All in", and it was an amazing read, on so many levels. Global treasure!
