The prices at our local northeast Ohio Goodwills are priced extremely high. Even for regular people and not just resellers. Today, I saw a new in-box Dremel Lite for $75... they are $50 new and cheaper if you can find a sale. Another example is a pair of DC shoes for $30 in visibly used condition. The same pair on eBay was $30 with free shipping and in much better condition. Occasionally, I'll go in and find a rare deal, but ultimately, I just avoid Goodwill altogether because of the ridiculous prices.
Yeah I run into procing issues all the time. Best to just move past it and find the under priced sections. Most thrift stores have at least 1 or 2 sections under priced
I know there's a bunch of videos that talk about getting ungated for different brands. But i would like to know how you accomplished it. I've got a decent amount ungated, but there's still so much that's gated. Especially larger brands.
If you are really getting these kind of prices for things on Amazon then you don’t need to go to goodwill to get inventory. Almost all of this stuff is readily available on eBay for under 8$.
My goodwill priced ONE of those mystery science theater dvds that come in the packs like that for $15 lol Also Its crazy how people will spend so much more money to buy something on Amazon instead of ebay
Your video are awesome to watch lots of good contents. I would love to get started in sell ing media and vhs on Amazon could you please guide me in the right direction or tutorial on how I would go about doing this any information would be appreciated? Thank You
Jurassic park figure you said was splitting apart could have been Lego. They separate into 3 sections. They are worth a decent amount or they were when I sold mine on eBay
Connecticut. I go all over the state. Most goodwills are like this up here. In Massachusetts they seem to be a bit smaller. Ive only been to a few in NY and they are comparable to Mass. Ive road tripped around the country and been to Goodwills in at least 10-15 states. I honestly like CTs the best.
Do you have any tricks to remove the barcode sticker without leaving sticky residue/damaging the thin plastic? Your videos have helped me branch out into more areas of sourcing that I wouldn't have even considered before ~ Thank you for uploading (also side note I keep getting unsubscribed from your channel for some reason!!)
I use a scotty peeler the get the sticker off and then a small drop of goo gone to rub off the residue if it left any behind. You only need a drop or 2
Lots of times lol. But just returns in general are out of control on Amazon. It seems like I get 1 return for every 10 sales there. Ebay I probably get 1 return for every 100 sales.
Lots of newer accounts have to prove that they can maintain a good standing on Amazon before they open up more brands and categories. Try selling the ungated categories for a while first
Why do youtubers always complain about goodwill prices. And sell the same stuff for goodwill prices are more. It's nobody's fault that you're a reseller, but yourself
Where was the complaining? If you're referring to the cake pans, it was more confusion than complaining. There would be a fair bit of cleaning needed, and then prepping and shipping too. A good reseller is putting in the work to make sure a quality item is going out, that's a part of the price. Goodwill gets donations and just sets them out, there's a big difference.
I didnt really complain. I showed how damaged they were and that they were priced far too high for their condition and most likely wont sell. Ive been approached by people telling me that goodwills in my area watch my videos. If they see me mention these things, hopefully it helps with pricing in the future.
I wish my Goodwills had those kinds of goodies. Most of items in my local stores look like they been brought straight from a dumpster.
There’s a ton of those Sesame Street vhs tapes on eBay for $5 to $10 . Crazy to think someone would pay $50 - $70 on Amazon
It baffles me as well lol
Your Goodwills are so clean! They’re a little scary where I am in Florida.
Ive been to a few in Florida and luckily none were too bad. Definitely not as stocked as up here though

@@jaidentslgl2753 no, I have had it since 2007. It was a wedding gift.

I’m not sure where you are, but I barely find new stuff worth anything at my local goodwills. Your lucky.
What state are you in?
Gucciwill here we go!!
You know it!
Love the videos keep it up ❤️🤜🤛
Thank you!
All the cake tins will end up in the bins.
Most likely, yup

Lots of people do strictly ebay to Amazon flips. Its super profotable. Ive done it a bunch. I enjoy thrifting

Good to know. thanks for the heads up.
Dude that wasn't a lego. All lego dinosaurs have the feet to peg in to lego bricks.
Are you in CT? If you are where do you find these goodwills?
It is CT. Those were Oxford and Torrington.

The dvd that was in the Nosferatu case. Did you look for the case that it belongs to? Maybe the Nosferatu dvd is in there?
Yea I tried but couldnt find it sadly
@@ThriftSchool That Nosferatu that is "Digitally Remastered" came out in 2001 so you didn´t loose that much. It´s on Amazon for $44
First love your videos keep up the great work.
Thank you :)

How often do you get returns on used electronics? The laminator seems risky.
Lots of times lol. But just returns in general are out of control on Amazon. It seems like I get 1 return for every 10 sales there. Ebay I probably get 1 return for every 100 sales.
That Nosferatu DVD is not worth $100+, it goes for about $15 pretty regularly on eBay.
I bet you could buy them up on ebay and flip them for around $40-50 on amazon pretty easily
@@ThriftSchool Perhaps, but it would probably sit for a long time.
🔥
How much room do you have left in your house
lmao. not much at all
Do you have a goodwill bins in your area? I don’t think I ever saw you go to one 🤔
Not super close. On the other end of the state is one. I should go sometime
BROSKIRONI ....PACKIN CARTS N BREAKIN HEARTS
So true
Do you know why most things that I scan I receive - Request Approval? Have you come across this?

@@ThriftSchool I found the list. Thank you for this information.

I swear my local goodwills have jack shit. They never have anything interesting
Goodwill has lost it's mind LOL
It seems like they lost it years ago lol
Not goodwill trying to get full price for items they get for free 😮
Hey Thrift School, where is Sophie?

Jesse was not complaining about the prices in this video. He was commenting on them.
Your prices are way off,I think you just want followers.
I literally show the going price on Amazon.
Amazon prices are generally higher than on eBay
That Sully Blu-ray was signed???🫢
I didnt even notice that
Who signed it though?
@@jaidentslgl2753 great question. I’m guessing sully himself or someone from the movie cast
