Do you still have Kobe cards
@@Nips13 I do. I will be running a bunch of them on Monday night in the whatnot auction
I bought 5 huge white boxes at an estate sale for $50. I've been slowly going through them, tons of junk, but the occasional $15-$25 card pops up. Something to do while watching games on sunday.
I love this! That’s what I do when I watch football.
@PickingandPunchingCards Got some Topps Christmas edition today. Hit a De La Cruz,Ohtani, and my first Skenes finally.
@ that’s awesome! Congrats! I love those holiday cards.
With all the reprints out there, it's hard to tell if they're vintage or not in the video. If they're real, some of those 1975 Topps cards look great. If I can't get a seller to make me an offer, I use what I call the "write-it-down" method. I'll jot a number down on a piece of paper and tell them I have my offer. They'll finally say what they want and you do your reveal. Say you wrote down $100 and they say $500. Now you at least have a starting point and can haggle from there. This works quite well and is actually fair to both parties. It's also fun when the tables are flipped. Say there was some really, really nice stuff in there and you wrote down $500.00 and the guy blurts out he'll take $100.00. Well, now you just split it. You get it for $200 less than you were willing to pay and they get $200 more than they were asking. Win-win. Doesn't happen often but when it does everybody is happy and no one gets shorted.
It’s a great way to negotiate. I have done that in the past before.
This is an amazing deal! I’m so jealous it’s like Christmas morning lol
It really is!
Nice to see your passion 👍. I’m an old timer who Didn’t let mom throw my cards out. Had fun finishing my sets from late 60s, all sports. And ton of fun chasing certain niche players and teams I loved growing up since then. I lost my interest when so many parallels came out of basically same card @ 2000 or so. Regular, Gold, Green, Yellow …. Cmon Man. Between that and the graded card craze just too much. But enjoy watching your vids and wish you the best 👍
Thanks for watching! I actually lost interest around 2000 as well and left sports card collecting. Now, I’m back 20 years later but doing it my way. I’ll buy some new stuff but I love the hunt for stuff that I grew up on.
Wow!!!!!! For all of that!!!?? Nice!!!!
I was in the right place at the right time.
Hell of a deal. These are few and far between. Nice to see a big win. $300 looks like a steal.
Thank you! He was moving and was tired of moving his cards around. He was happy to see them go.
Remember, it is up to the seller to determine what the final price is in any transaction. The buyer did very well in this scenario. I still search for a deal like this. The best part for me is just going through a collection like that, card by card, one at a time.
Thanks for the reply. Going through each card one by one is my favorite thing as well. You never know what you will find. It's a great way to learn as well.
Looked like a shohei auto there with the patch. The sandlot set sells for 150. You got a great deal
There wasn’t any shovel autos. That would have been amazing if it was. Thanks for watching.
You are of my new favorites to watch. You have a good attitude
I appreciate you.
Hey man, I just stumbled upon your video and really liked watching it, as I used to be a baseball/football card collector and sometimes still buy them for my sons. Also, don’t let anybody get to you about saying that you “ripped off” someone, you’re the one out hitting the roads, etc and it’s up to the seller if they want to let them go or not, for whatever price!
Thanks man! No matter what you do. People won't understand how much work it takes to find, buy, and sell collections like this.
I was just thinking that’s tough to just sell all that off when he said he was going to cry. I’m so jealous you get to look through all those.
Thanks man! It’s been so much fun.
Bet you his wife pushed him to.
What a great find.
Thanks man!
What a great buy! I would have purchased that! Amazing!
Thanks man!
Thats cool man. I know one day ima have to get rid of my card collection 😢. Hopefully that wont be until 2045. Lol. You got a hell of a deal. People on Marketplace be selling those 4 row boxes $75-$100. Thanks for the video ❤
Thanks! I was just in the right place at the right time.
You can make up 2 row (1600ct) boxes of common or semi star and retired player parallels and auction them to get rid of bigger chunks. They usually go 250 range. Easier then taking the time to list a ton of commons that will sit for ages.
That's not a bad item.
Yeah I love finding stuff like this Bro.
Total Score 😮
Thank you!
Cool good to hear ,enjoy good luck
Thank you!
Holy crap. What a steal. All I do is baseball cards. Just seeing the first minute of you going thru this I knew This was going to be an amazing score and after he said the price I was shocked. Just so you know. A 5 row box of base bulk goes for 25-30$. The empty box itself costs $7
I’m recently getting back into cards over the last year. I was shocked to see what those 5 row and 3 row boxes go for. Shops around me are charging $8-$10 for one of them.
Holy Toledo!! That’s an amazing deal!! There’s several thousand dollars in cards there
It was a lot bette than I expected
You stop about when I did. I just got back into cards about 3 years ago!
Nice pick up!!!
Thanks man! How has it been getting back into cards? I find it to be a huge new learning curve but a fun one.
Great deal 😊
Thanks!
Congrats on the great find 🎉
Thank you!
11:05 That Ohtani card sells around $100 apparently. Seen a graded psa 10 at 500.... look out for 2011 Mike Trout RC's from the 2011 Topps Diamond Anniversary set.💸 I wouldn't be surprised if you banked $20K off that lot. Epic score man. They're gonna make a movie about this one day. You should network with Chasing Cardboard...they buy up tons of junk wax boxes sports & non sports...you guys might make some deals someday.
@@samr273 thanks so much for the tips. I’m a professional picker myself. We will be expanding what we do in the cards 2025. Chasing Cardboard is a great channel. I’m sure our paths will cross sometime in the future. Thanks for checking out the channel!
U got $300 worth of cases alone lol..what a great deal bro
@@nextdoordarts3770 I didn’t think about that. I did get a ton of supplies.
It's frustrating when you ask how much they want and they reply, "well make me an offer." Someone once told me you cant be the buyer and the seller at the same time. You got a great deal here!
Bingo! That’s a great saying. Thanks for watching!
Congrats 👏. Great Deal
Thank you!
Dude there are tons of big baseball cards in there, I am sure you will make more than 5k from all of that. Especially if you grade some of these cards cause they look in great condition
I’m going to do a lot better than originally expected. We been running a bunch of them through whatnot starting at $1. People are getting some great deals on them.
nice that you look at it , like a lot of fun instead of work.
Its going to be a lot of work but its never work if you love what you do.
Love that deals are out there only wish they fell to a real collector who’s not worried about whatnot or eBay sales.
Who says I’m not a real collector? I still have my original collection that I had growing up. I collect Philadelphia teams Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and Flyers. I also collect UFC, boxing, and wrestling cards. I will take stuff out for my pc and sell the rest. I will probably use some of that money to buy more stuff for my pc and boxes to open up.
@@PickingandPunchingCards Hey man, don't let guys like him get to you. There's going to be a lot unfortunately, just stay true to yourself and keep trucking on. If you enjoy it, then imo that's what the hobby is all about
@@PickingandPunchingCards I apologize I just heard more you selling than you collecting in the video is the reason I made that comment being you referenced multiple times what not sales
@@PickingandPunchingCards can u upload your boxing PC n reply when it's uploaded? maybe mention how much u pay n where, for some or all of the cards. also, what percent of garage sales get a deal like in this vid?
@@cheoh it doesn’t get me down. I appreciate the feedback from people who watch the video. I’m always open to have discussions about selling and collecting. I appreciate the comment.
Just the toploaders was worth something....i think yall both won💯💯💯
They def were. He was able to move on and got rid of it. I hit a ton of product. We were both happy with it.
Good find!! I like sandlot cards. I got some of those I plan on sending CGC
They are my favorites! Good luck
Wow great deal lots of great cards in there
I was in the right place at the right time.
These are the kinds of collections I dream of finding :)
I think we all do. This is proof they are out there. We just need to searching looking for them.
That's funny when you said that you just got back into collecting again, that happened to me like 3 months ago. I stop collecting over 30 years ago and found my collection in the closet for over 30 years.. 😅😅😅 Now I am addicted to buying more cards... I need to start going to garage sales... Nice haul for $300.. WOW
Thanks man! Good Luck on your new Sports Card Journey.
Your vintage 60s and 70s and the newer Topps Chrome most definitely some good stuff couldn't see the rest but definitely a nice pickup.
There was so much to go through. I haven’t even gotten to the other 10 boxes yet 😂
@PickingandPunchingCards good deal man nice score
You came across my for you page. LOL I'm 41 years old and I quit collecting in 1997. SHITTY thing is Im a die hard Pats fan and I have like 50 Bledsoe rookie cards so if I had kept collecting I'd have a shit ton of Brady RCs that are actually worth something. Good find man!
Ugh, me too! I stoped in 1999. I had a ton of Drew Bledsoe rookies. I missed out on Brady and Lebron rookies. It sucks, lol.
What a killer deal on cards WOW what a haul man make you some money from that easy.
It was a great deal. It’s def a lot of work but we will do great on that lot.
What a buy! I could feel your heart pounding while you were waiting for him to name his price. I was expecting his number to be a lot higher - Great stuff Rod
I was expecting it to be higher as well.
@@PickingandPunchingCards nice deal
I WAS THINKING 2,500 - 3,000
Time stamp 11:06. Is that a patch auto of Shohei ? If so, Put that thing in a one touch .stat.
It looks like it is but it’s not. It’s the Topps now reprint of the auto patch they did. Surprisingly it’s still a $50-$75 card.
I am a big HOF collector for sure an awesome purchase.
Thanks?
GOOD FIND HE MADE THE DEAL YOU JUST TOOK IT😂
This is true, lol
That’s why I like yard sales people want it out of their house. That’s why it’s called a yard sale. Good job nice Score
People just want it gone. He used to sell on eBay. He knew it had value but he just wanted it gone because he was moving.
You got to put out a couple more videos of you going through the boxes
I could def do that.
Any other vintage card collectors/owners here?
@@Master-n-Teachvirgo8557 what kind of vintage stuff do you collect?
OMG …… you hit the mother load 😳😳👍👌‼️
@@ronaldsmith1282 I was in the right spot at the right time.
I am in Holiday!!! You need to tell me where some of these places are..I can NEVER find places around here.
This was just a random yardsale that I found. I was just lucky that day.
Oh yea you did good for sure. Of course we didnt see it all, but I imagine there are plenty of $10-$30....ton of $1-$5 cards. I just sold my collection about that size for 3k.....I did have a box that was all vince carter, Iverson, shaq, all them guys late 90s nunbered stuff, die cuts. So one of the boxes i priced at 2k. Then the rest was stuff like that there. Great pick up especially for the price
I showed the two boxes that he said had the best stuff in. He used to sell on eBay. I haven’t come across any big $20 or up cards yet. I’m sure they maybe some in there. There is another box with some good stuff in it. Most of the other ones are just common Star cards and a whole box of bowman baseball rookies over the past couple of years. All the big rookies have been pulled out by him but I’m sure there is some better stuff that became hot later on. Thanks for watching
@PickingandPunchingCards Another good thing about bowman chrome 1sts is you never know what might become valuable in the future too. I hold my bowman chrome 1sts
@PickingandPunchingCards Any good 90s inserts?
@@DrewM86 since I started to collect again. I have a box of just rookies that I pull from packs. You never know when they will blow up.
@@DrewM86 a bunch of cool looking one but nothing worth big money or anything.
Deal of a lifetime. Congrats!
Thank you!
300$ holy god bro what a score
It was a crazy deal. He was moving and was tired of moving stuff around. He used to sell on eBay and knew what he had as well.
Great pick up!
Thank you.
Believe it or not...that Kendrick Lamar card sells for like 50 bucks..could even be a little more now...so that's a good chunk of your 300 back on that 1 card...great pickup
Thank you.
I got rid of my crappy 88-91 junk wax era cards at my garage sale for around the same you paid for this nicer lot. 95% of my stuff was common. I graded all the good stuff. I was happy to see them go to grand parents buying for their grand kids to have fun with. I gave crazy deals at my garage sale to get out of projects like this. Total time suck. I would take out what you like and dump the rest at your own garage sale unless you are ok making $5 an hour after all the time it takes to resell these. Cards take forever to sell on Ebay unless you have something special at below market value. Looks fun to look at but man dont waste all your time like I did...over and over again on trading cards.
That’s a great point. A lot of people buy collections and don’t have a plan on where they will move it at. The common stuff I will just drop off at a local auction house. Most of this stuff is $1-$5 stuff.I plan to just run it through whatnot. I plan doing weekly shows going forward. It’s great stuff to start $1 auctions at.
1992 bowman had some cool pics. Not sure why you think there ridiculous?
After thinking about them I’m reacting to how they look now not when they original came out. It was completely different in 1992. No one was making cards with people in their street cloths. Not my favorite but still different. I can see how people would like them.
Good luck
Thanks
Holy smokes! Going through all of those should keep you busy for awhile!
It’s so much fun!
25 a box! I would kill for that deal
I was In the right place at the right time.
What an awesome buy
Thanks man.
@PickingandPunchingCards your welcome
Rod , it's funny that you said you stopped collecting in 1999 . I stopped in 2000 . I still have my complete baseball sets from 1973-2000 . I lost interest when they started producing numbered cards then telling me they are more valuable than 1952 Bowman .
They had to change it up at that time because they had over produced so much product. Your reason for leaving is very similar to mine. I left because they were just over producing so much product. I couldn’t keep up with it at that time.
Ahhh man why can't i ever find these people at yard sales??? Usually it's a Tupperware tub full of garbage
Thats most of the sales that I go too. Most of the time I find 1990's junk wax and they want hundreds of dollars for it, lol
Sell the sandlot cards as a set. Easier to sell and you can get a premium for being complete sub set
That’s a good idea but I think I may just keep them for myself. I love this set and the movie!
Id love to buy the topps 52 mathews in the binder.. probably a reprint but hes one of my favs.
It’s a reprint
My grandpa's cards got stolen in VA .If anyone knows anything about another of cards surging in that area about 7 years ago .Newport News va Beach area .
I am sorry that happened to your family.
Even at 50cents or 1dollar you're going to make bank. I would easily pay him 500 for it and still be able to make money on the deal.
Knowing what I know now, I would have paid him more for it.
300 hundred for everything, unbelievable. He gave it away. You'll make 10 times that easily.
He told me after I bought it that I would make a bunch of money off it. He was moving and was tired of moving it around. He just wanted it gone.
I saw a lot of good cards in there. go through it with comps i bet you got 1,000s there. nice job!
It’s going to be a lot of work for $1-$5 cards but over time I should do really good on them.
Jonssportscards made a nasty video about you. I see the VERY FEW followers that he has made there way over to harass you.
I saw and was told by other viewers. It is what it is. Everyone has their opinion on situations like this. Thanks for letting me know.
@PickingandPunchingCards that guy is a bad actor in this hobby as he's only out to be negative and cause problems.
I’d love to see you find a Tony Romo card that was my mother’s cousin
did you ever get to meet him?
Are you POSITIVE the 86 MJ is a reprint?
I’m almost positive but now you got me second guessing myself. Now I need to go find what box it was in to double check 😂
@@PickingandPunchingCards Dude... You didn't double check?!?!?!?!?
Some of those topps cards that are camo are numbered to 25 i had a bo bechette rc one /25
Good to know, thank you!
If you want to sell me one of those boxes with football cards in it for $100 I'm down 😂
I’ll think about it 😂
My husband got same kind of deal from an older gentleman that just wanted to get rid of his cards..i think my husband paid 225 for alot of totes of cards..
Awesome! How did he do on them?
@PickingandPunchingCards we have done well with the cards..we still have some to list
U lucky son😮
Right place at the right time
your going make money
I will do really good with this.
You should be in jail, you got away with robbery and it's on all film. Love the Sandlot cards. I dream of finding this at a yard sale because the only thing I ever find is old high chairs and someone's old George Forman grill.
I was in the right place at the right time. Normally I’m buying 80’s or 90’s junk wax stuff at garage sales. He used to sell online. It’s all low end stuff he had left over. I should do really good with it all. It just going to take a ton of time running it through whatnot.
Wow. I would have offered $700. You got a deal and a half.
Knowing what I know now, I would have offered more. I got a great deal. He was done and wanted to move on.
jackpot!
Right place at right time.
@ for sure. That’s guys probably me in a couple years crying as I sell my collection. Kids almost a year old and it’s too damn $$$
That guy was an idiot. Hey basically sold a card store for 3 dollars. What a more on@@edelmantoamendola
13:48 is that a real Ohtani Patch auto?
I wish it was. It was a Topps now flashback facsimile auto on it. Only worth a couple of dollars.
Daaaaaaaaang, I NEVER come across deals of a lifetime like this. I could enjoy that insane haul for literally years! Nothing like that ever here in the Fort Worth area.😢 You're so lucky bro!🎉
I was in the right place at the right time.
I wanna see what youngot out if this for 300$ lol what a steal
@@Jtevkicksandcards we have a follow up video on the channel. We go through two more boxes of it all.
Looks like a robbery without a gun. 🤔
Three hundreded for all those cards!!!
Wow
I was very lucky.
Do you still have the Kendrick Lamar card?
Sorry, We sold it already during our Whatnot stream.
That ohtani patch auto sold for 3700 graded raw might go for same or less
There wasn’t a Ohtani patch auto in this collection. I wish there was. One of the cards was a Topps Now with a facsimile auto on it.
Unopened sets lose 75% of the value once unsealed. They become hand collated at that point.
You are right. This seller cherry picked all the rookies and stars out of these sets. He did mix them in his boxes though.
@PickingandPunchingCards exactly
You would've needed to spend a long time finding the missing cards. At the right price, however, I would've bought them. Even if you had the missing cards at home, opened factory stuff loses value
You did 👍
Wow!! I thought he was gonna say $1k for everything.... Great buy for only 300.... WAS THERE ANYTHING REALLY GOOD IN THERE???
I was thinking the same. Mostly bargain boxes cards $1-$5 cardsI’m going to drop a 2nd video going through a couple of more boxes soon. I haven’t done a deep dive into them yet.
That guy gave it away.....that collection is worth thousands
I didn’t realize how good it was until I started to go through it.
1985 is Puckett rookie
👍
Unreal that guy let it go for only $300.
Right place right time. He used to sell online. He just wanted to move on from them because he was moving.
Wow Rod that’s a rob deal.
It was an amazing pickup.
Otani card auto?
It’s a Topps now flash back card that shows a card of his auto. It’s not actually autographed though. I wish it was.
@PickingandPunchingCards that's cool. I've got like 40 otanis cards never seen that one. I re-watch that part like 3 times thinking no way he just passed that up lie it was no big deal lol.
This channel must be most your editing from your other main channel
Yea, I did a ton of editing on this one.
The deal of a lifetime.......
It was def a good pickup.
I collect Nolan Ryan, so if you want to sell, let me know what you have. Thanks
I def will
Sell them. You on IG?
@PickingandPunchingCards no Sir.
I was at $500 but $300? Nice buy.
I was expecting something like that as well.
Those Vladdy cards are “prospect” cards… not quite the true Rookie cards. Worth less than the actual rookie cards, maybe a $1 or $2… not much. That Ryan Howard /50 are from Topps Finest are the type of cards that collectors are looking for more often than not. The low numbered bigger names from older products fetch good money
I know they are lower dollar cards. It’s perfect to run on whatnot. I love the Howard card. He was one of my favorite players.
LOL just the top loader and boxes are worth $50.
Very true. I didn’t think about that.
Damn, you ripped that dude off
Nah, the seller ripped himself off...big time.
He used to sell on ebay and knew what he had. He wanted it gone because he was tired of moving it around and they were moving.
25$ a box is super cheap omg man
It really was.
haah i saw a Michael jordan Baseball card
I love the Jordan Baseball card!
