Good video I have a Duty (5”) version $620 one day sale with no issues on my X300A the bushing is tight added a Wilson full guide rod & buff a Cat Pro Dot and Night Hawk 12lb recoil spring kit includes a 17lb main spring and a high power firing pin spring along with a Tisas Magwell. I know it’s not a Stacoto or Bull but man I’m Happy with it.
i bought this yesterday in the 5" model and qualified with it today for my LE job. It shot flawlessly and when I took it apart to clean it the whole thing inside was rock solid. I am going to by the 4.5" for off duty carry. Now all I need is a good optic!
Nice presentation. As handy as you are I'm sure you'll tune it nicely. Glad you intend to port it I was going to ask; looking forward to the other videos!
I got a Staccato C2 back when the Springfield was the only "budget" option so I've scratched that 2011 itch for now. I still like seeing videos on these newer budget offerings and I'm curious to see how it turns out for you. Great video!
The Staccato will always be the benchmark I think. It will always be the "if I save up enough for this I know it will be really solid" option. I'm impressed with this gun and don't forsee any issues. I think it represents even higher value to someone like me who tinkers on their own guns and can fix it up. Love to see all the options available.
WTF Watch hundreds of hours of videos on all these 2011's and I could have just came here. but my conclusion is still the same I'm going to end up getting the tisas and eventually get a platypus. When I went to the gun store to look at the other 1000 2011 they make the gun dealer said just go get you a platypus😂😂
The main issue with mine is the sights. There are no front sights available for it. The cut is not standard like their 1911. Had to file it down to get impact where it should be. It runs great and for the price not bad.
Mount an optic on it and dont dick with the iron sights haha. Jk run what ya want. As far as I know the "tisas dovetail cut" is a Novak cut, or close enough to it that you should be able to buy Novak sights and get them to work with minimal fitting. I got the Mac9 DS which has the same dovetails and ordered a Novak front sight for it. I'll mention if that works in an upcoming video.
@@EngineersArmory front sight is a 360 wide base Novak is a 330. I picked it up for a spare carry. I don’t carry dots. I did put Novak style sights on the 1911.
Agreed. Good value and solid pistol for the price if it remains reliable. I don't see why it wouldn't based on what I am seeing and the billet internals.
Great video, I too own a Tisas B9R ds (duty). Looking forward to what you change to yours and knowing if it all works. Also the cost and what options you go with.
All the videos are posted of the upgrades if you want to check them out. I'm still tinkering with it and dialing it in (mostly my projects never end) so a few more videos may be coming.
Very Nice video on the new inexpensive Tisas doublestack. However, One thing I keep seeing reviewers conflate is "Forged Steel" parts and "Billet" These are 2 different things. Please look up what each means. They Are NOT the same thing. Forged steel is by far the strongest and most expensive way to make a steel part. I know not everybody is a machinist but these 2 things Should Not be confused.
The slide, barrel, and frame are forged. The internals and small parts are billet. I'm aware of the differences. Sorry if that information was unclear in the video.

thanks for making these videos on this model. these were exactly what i was looking for.
4:47 hate that sh*t I found a tisas commander 4.25 single stack to less than $300 on psa after I bought for $400 on buds gun shop.

Good to hear! How is the fit of your barrel bushing in the slide? For optics I would highly recommend the EPS or EPS carry.
Your videos are what's needed!

Absolutely love the content! Exactly what normal people who enjoy a variety of guns want to see!
Much appreciated! Glad you enjoy it!

You should check out the Tisas Night Stalker. It retails just under $1,000.
The only difference is the color of cerakote, threaded barrel, and mag well. Wasnt interested in it.
With my Staccato, I use the Prodigy mags. They are less expensive.
YES! PORT IT!
Haha you know it buddy! I've already done the design work. Its going to be really similar to the Bul Tac Pro porting.

Looks like a good value assuming it stays reliable. The mag compatibility is a nice touch.

thoughts on the upcoming fusion firearms XP PRO?
Really excited to start seeing reviews on it. Looks like a solid gun. I buy quite a bit of Fusion firearms parts, good price for the quality.

I love my tisas 1911 ds carry but like u said many nice options i would love to pick up the mac 9 ds and the ria tac ultra but great video man
Don't get ria tac ultra not worth it. I've purchased 3 guns from Ria and I've been having nothing but issues with them.
@@therock1902 thanx for the heads up so mac 9 ds it is
I just picked one up on battle hawk for less than 550 clams
Killer deal! I wish I would have waited to buy mine.
Do you need an adapter plate to mount an optic?
No, it is direct mount for the RMSc/Holosun K footprint.
Girsan Witness have been generally not too reliable.
Yeah when I was researching what one to start with I saw a few videos on the Girsan and it wasnt running good.
Currently 599 on PSA!
588 on blackhawk! I’m so getting one! Excellent video by the way!
@@DesertTactical Heck yeah! I was going to say Battlehawk, thats where I saw it for $585.
I heard battlehawk wasn’t that great so I went with PSA and got it total for 677 with shipping a few days ago
