Peter, as you know I enlisted your enclosure design service to create an enclosure for under the rear seat of my 2011 Extended Cab F150. I decided to go with 2 of your AD1208 D4 dual voice coil 8" subs. Well I'm happy to report that I just finished building the enclosure and installing it into my truck. All I can say is Oh My Freaking Gosh, does this thing sound great. I'm using a Kenwood XR900-5 amp which provides 400 W to the sub. Splitting that between 2 8" subs puts them right in the sweet spot of 200 W each. I could not be happier with their performance. They are crisp, clear and not boomy as so many subs seem to be. I'm glad I came across your channel and Audio Dynamics.
Nice subs! Can’t wait to see what you do with the little tang band 3” subs. I have two of those in my daily driver beater wagon with transmission line boxes L&R and it sounds pretty good. Good low bass and everything sounds right in front of me on the dash. Gotta have left and right subs to hear that good sound image (with a sound processor of course) also another edit when i ask people “guess what’s in the back” they think it’s a 10” 👀
Sir I can’t discern what you’re saying in the beginning regarding the TS parameters. I understand up to “side of box” but after that “Near as makes no difference match the payload”? Does that mean they are spot on? Thank you. I love your videos.
Ive been looking for a IB subwoofer to replace the factory unit in my SC400. The reason why I opted for the factory infinite baffle style setup was mostly for weight and space concerns.

Where is a good place for one to start on understanding quarter wave enclosers? It's been hit n miss for me having complete 1 that worked and one that didnt. I somewhere got lost in the math.

I wanted the cone area and the power handling at first now I'm looking to have it more musical as the I went active on my front stage and find myself listening to much higher frequency bass then what I had planned for while purchasing the sub. I either figure the tline our or switch out the subwoofer to a 90's sony mobile es 12. I'll look up and read kings publishings.
Should also mention the psi will eventually work it way into the house when I redesign the whole system. To much power and that's no longer what I'm looking for. I think I can accomplish the results I'm looking for with under 1000 watts total instead of the 3500 I have now.
I do just buy them, they are made by Eminence and they are great for my purposes. I just kind of want another manufacture to produce a beefy driver with the same specs for fun is all!!!
I strongly don't reccomend this guy to design an enclosure for whoever maybe interested. He doesn't include the tuning of the enclosure in any of his designs. He and Aaron at Audio Dynamic work together or something 🤔. You purchase the design and if it's wrong you're stuck with it. The frfr is Audio Dynamic doesn't even acknowledge this guy as anything less then a master designer. Such a master until he design my enclosure with the access panel in the top of the enclosure. And if that's not enough the panel is 17" wide just big enough for my subs. Lol but the thing is the subs weigh 120lbs. So I asked how in the hell is this supposed to work? Aaron at Audio Dynamic replied he had to talk that over with Pete and sort this out. The sorting out concluded they wanted me to purchase another at half price. Fuck Audio Dynamic!

8" are my fav ! Put 4 8" in my car and loved it. IMO they sound better than a single 12-15"..
