Just as a heads-up and something to potentially look into. Upon a quick inspection of the D2 version of the AD2212 it appears that the moving mass parameter is incorrect. What would be mathematically correct with all other related parameters accounted for would be 346.8g apposed to 307g. Though I do believe this would also be incorrect when compared to the D4 variant that has a mathematically infallible 234g Mms figure. The deviation could likely be caused by one of three possibilities. Within the Vas calculation method chosen, the added mass used wasn't ideal to achieve realistic results, or the test box volume wasn't correct; assuming either method was used. Lastly, there may have not been a sufficient break-in period for the D2 driver when using the same added mass or net volume for the test box methods between the D4 and D2 variants. There may have been other factors, but these are the ones that come to mind first. Though I do have a question, are the inductance parameters listed indicating a 1khz Le, or 10khz Le?
Salesman of the year. Just might try some out. Keep up the great work with the tutorials, product introductions, and all around taking the edge off of a hard day at work.

@hexibase would one be better running 4 of these in the dual 2 ohm version at 1ohm final load on 3000watts or 4 of the dual 4ohm versions on 2000 watts? Will end up in vented enclosure or perhaps a 6th order blow through.

All three? How would I be able to possibly recreate a sub or two for my studio that goes down well below 30hz? Thanks for any help :D

Very interesting. Pete, why the choice of foam over butyl rubber in the surrounds? And, any plans for a 15" version or would the enclosure requirements eat up too much space? As always thanks!
I have some 20 year old subs with butyl surrounds and some ten year old foam surrounded subs and the foam ones have been hastily repaired with black silicone, while the much older butyl ones are still kicking and looking good
Hi Hexibase, Did you perhaps explain more in deepth the Fs parameter in another video? I mean I've seen the video with a quick explanation of all TS params, but I was thinking more about Fs specifically. You say that it doesn't say how low a sub will go, but doesn't it say something useful? If it's the resonating frequency than one might assume that at that frequency a speaker built with such driver would have very good efficiency at that frequency is that correct? And then is it completely pointless to look at Fs or is there some rule of thumb that like going -10Hz from Fs is ok, but lower than that would be impractical or something like that?
Interested in a single 12”. 2010 Honda Civic sedan for the wife. The back seat folds down in one single piece, it’s not divided like some others.
