  • This short video explains the how and why of creating lookup tables to use for drop-down lists for field that have a defined set of appropriate values. Drop-down lists in Access are technically called combo boxes because they are a combination of a text box and a list. Drop-down lists create fast, productive, and accurate data entry whether you are working in a datasheet or form. This video covers both the creation of a lookup table using a Make Table query as well as the creation of the drop-down list using the Lookup Wizard and Lookup properties.
