Detailed 2017 CB300F Review with R&D Info, Engine and Frame stripped down + more @ ---> www.hondaprokevin.com/2017-honda-cb300f-review-specs-cbr-naked-motorcycle-sport-bike-streetfighter-cb-300
2016 cb300f perfect first motorcycle for a beginner, it was my first bike and I wished it was faster after a week or 2 but it still got me into enough trouble to be grateful I didn't start on a 600
All of the 2015 and 2016 CB300Fs and CBR300Rs sold in the U.S. have a very serious crank shaft failure recall (search "Service Bulletin CBR300R/CB300F #1". NHTSA's and Honda's recall search sites will also turn it up if you type in your VIN). The issue was fixed starting with the 2017 model year. I own the 2017 ABS that I bought new. It's been a good and fun bike, particularly on twisty back roads. I'm 6'2 and 235 lbs. It has no trouble getting up to highway speed, though a 300cc naked bike definitely isn't optimal for the highway. My only complaint is the seat feels like you're sitting on a plank after an hour and a half in the saddle.
The one thing I don’t like about it is the gas cap comes completely off instead of flipping up. When you fill the tank you have to find someplace to sit the gas cap.
+Jay Flynn I agree 100% man, I wish they kept the CBR300R gauge cluster for the CB300F. I understand Honda's thought process on why they didn't but... I love seeing an analog tachometer rev through the RPMs a lot more than a digital setup. The only digital tachometer I care for is the one in my S2000, every other one needs to be analog so we can watch that needle bury!
Is the foot placement the same on the CBR300R vs the CB300F? What the lean when you hold onto the handlebar? I have a lower back that's sensitive, and I find I can ride the longest on a sport bike, than I can on an upright position. But, I like the look of the CB300F better.
+T. Hunt The peg placement on the CB300F and CBR300R are the same but the handlebars are different. The CBR300R has a standard clip-on style bar where the CB300F has a dirt bike style bar with risers and the upside is you can purchase risers for both to bring them up even higher. You don't lean as much on the F as you do on the R so it's definitely a good bit more comfortable on longer rides. If you want even more details on the riding position plus loads more info, here's my detailed 2017 CB300F Review - www.hondaprokevin.com/2017-honda-cb300f-review-specs-cbr-naked-motorcycle-sport-bike-streetfighter-cb-300 Hope the info helps. Thanks for checking out the video and for posting up too. If you have any other questions just let me know.
tried for several hours to get this video to work on my Xbox One but just now booted up the all in one to see the cool looking paintjob but yea idk whats up with that but nice review. thanks
+The Cloud Ahh, thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check it out on my Xbox One and see if it does the same on my end and figure out what's up. Thanks for going through all of that just to check out my video though haha. Appreciate that man...
I have a similar bike 2016 that was crashed 2 years ago and so far I have not been able to repair it. I live in Miami Florida and I want to know if you can help me because I have been told that from the blow the chassis has something twisted.
All 2015 and 2016 Honda CB300F and CBR300Rs had a very serious crank shaft recall. Honda will do the repair at no cost, but it involves splitting open the engine. Search "Honda Service Bulletin CBR300R/CB300F #1". @@grumpysquid
A new bike that only does 78 mpg? My 1997 CB 250 nighthawk gives me around 130 mpg on my 26 mile round trip to and from work. It rarely gets over 30 mph due to the traffic. The best part of it is that I can ride it in all weather when all the big bikes are stored for the winter! !
Why the heck are these honda bikes costing more and more?? Damn wanted to pick up a grom and now they're like $800 away from a cb300f. Now that you said the 16s were $4k that sucks even more! Guess I'll have to pick one of these up before they start running for $5k like the Ninjas
bmwmsport11 depends on your dealer some I’ve seen these around for 3500 where I’m from brand new to just shop around. I do want one of these of course or the ninja.
bmwmsport11 I bought a 2015 model "used" from a guy in the military for $3000. Only had 1000 miles. Never had an issue besides the recall. Took it to the dealer and had the crankshaft replaced at no cost. Absolutely love the bike. I'm looking to buy an mv augusta dragster 800rr, but don't want to get rid of the 300. I'd much rather ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.
bmwmsport11 if you’re still interested in them, now is the time to buy. I just got a used 2014 grom, 3k miles with a few modifications for only $1600. About the buy a cb300f for $1600. They’re dirt cheap in winter.
I'm the same height and to me the CB300F riders triangle is more comfortable than the TU250X. If I was personally going to buy one though I would spend a couple bucks on a different bend of bar though and thankfully with the way the riders are on the CB300F you can do it in a matter of minutes and without breaking the bank.
Lol! I agree 110% bud. Thankfully Honda is starting to throw it on more and more models now for 2018 & 2019. A few more years and it'll end up moving onto models like this once they're do for a redesign and other tweaks are done so they can justify the cost.
I've had this bike for about five months. It's my first bike and I have 5000 miles on it. I've never felt like I needed it all. I mean what would really be the point.

+Rene Becerra lol I was wondering the same thing. Baffles me as the original statement wasn't exactly correct grammar so I was wanting to make sure what he meant but maybe that's a no-go these days haha.
I've gotten mine to 95. I'm 5' 6" 155 lbs. Trust me you don't want to go any faster on this bike. The small tires don't inspire confidence. You can, but I don't see why you'd want to. The wind really starts to push you a bit I think due to lack of fairings.
The top speed on many bikes is regulated during the break in period and that is why you can get very different numbers. Top speed is supposed to be over 100 for this bike

Just got this for my first bike picking it up next week
Nice! I'll have enough saved by december for it. Gonna be my first too 😀

These cbfs would be the perfect bikes imo if only they weren't all digital! All bikes need analog rpm gauges imo

That's no good! I wish you the best of luck on getting things figured out and getting back on the road.
right now i have a CBF125, and i am thinking of this as my next bike in about 2.5 years...good choise or not??
2020, I would say you may buy the 250-300cc bike now
It's about that time to get a new bike! I hope you decided on a Hayabusa, little weenis boi.
great vids! do you happen to know if they fixed the recalls on the 2017?
What were the recalls
Yes they did.

78mpg with 3.4 Gal tank so you get about 265 miles
thanks for this.
+Obie Yessir, always nice when people appreciate the videos so thank you for saying "thanks"!
Trying to decide between this and a grom
What'd you go with? If you're planning to do any longer rides or, especiall, highway use: Go with the 300.
Why the heck are these honda bikes costing more and more?? Damn wanted to pick up a grom and now they're like $800 away from a cb300f. Now that you said the 16s were $4k that sucks even more! Guess I'll have to pick one of these up before they start running for $5k like the Ninjas

bmwmsport11 Oh and one more thing the other reason why they are running high is because they only make the abs now.
I think its because they are now fuel injected and putting more tech on the bikes? Inflation for sure too

I cant seem to find this bike anywhere in Germany... Do you know if this model is exclusive to the US market or are they being sold in Europe as well?
How does this compare to the BMW version?
does it have a central stand???
No. Side stand only.
is it good for tall people ? because i wanted the TU250X suzuki but its a bit small.. it would be my first bike!
It depends on how tall we're talking... How tall are you?
HondaPro Kevin 6 feet 2 :)

I don’t know if I should get this or the grom cuz it would be my first bike and I’m also a short rider I’m 5’1 😂😩
Girl I’m having that issue rn
@@oceanz3658 groms are very slow. You wouldn’t be able to ride it everywhere compared to this will get you anywhere you need to go.
Would this be a good bike to learn on?
Me too!
Still no gear indicator???HOW HARD IS IT HONDA????
Lol! I agree 110% bud. Thankfully Honda is starting to throw it on more and more models now for 2018 & 2019. A few more years and it'll end up moving onto models like this once they're do for a redesign and other tweaks are done so they can justify the cost.
To be fair it's literally counting.
Use your ears to know what gear you are in
I've had this bike for about five months. It's my first bike and I have 5000 miles on it. I've never felt like I needed it all. I mean what would really be the point.
there shouldn't be any recall problems for the 2017 models right????
What recalls
grumpysquid idk bro , I don’t know where I’m at... is this what they call earth?

That’s my bike lol... same exact one...
how đid you get it men?
+Ngoc Hoang I'm sorry, what do you mean exactly by "how did you get it men?" ?
siemenssx1 how is that racist lmao
+siemenssx1 lol wow! That was definitely not "clear" when it comes to correct grammar.
+Rene Becerra lol I was wondering the same thing. Baffles me as the original statement wasn't exactly correct grammar so I was wanting to make sure what he meant but maybe that's a no-go these days haha.
siemenssx1 yea but that doesn't mean he's racist for saying that
The Neo sport version is looking much better
+Jed Taneo I agree 110%! I'm hoping we get that new CB300R here in the USA for 2019...
and has slightly more power than the f too
What's the top speed on this bike
Rene Becerra 80
C001 DUDE it’s funny cause google says it can go 105
