Kim Thayil and Matt Cameron from Soundgarden are playing the drums and lead guitar (the guitarist with the big beard), both in the video and on the studio recording for this song. The Pretty Reckless were kind of mentored by them and the touring support band for Soundgarden back in 2017 when lead singer Chris Cornell tragically passed away.
I was about to say almost the exact same thing I would have only added that it was after Chris and her manager passed when she was isolated due to covid that she wrote so many masterfully gifted songs with her co writer. Loved to see Kim and Matthew, Huge alice in chains fan and Pearl jam and Soundgarden. Once upon a time I loved nirvana but Kurt was such a judgemental ass that I could't take it. Loved their music hated his need to belittle other bands, he struggled and I was always sorry to hear the news when he took his life. Outside of Ac/Dc, Metyallica, Iron Maiden and GnR as we\ll as the blues rock band Cinderella, I felt the 80's were a rock dumpster fire. Glad Rock got back to being about the music and not the image.

My respect for her started when she was a guest on the old That Metal Show with Eddie Trunk. This band just slays everything I've ever heard them do. And she is gorgeous on top of all that talent. I'm definitely a fan!

Yes Taylor’s voice is maturing and getting so much better. Her best vocal performance IMO is on Standing at the Wall sadly no official video for it just a lyric one.

This snuck by me. Yes this is the same person as my request you did 25 unplugged. On it it was just her and guest pianist, this is the whole band with guest guitarist and drummer Kim Thyil and Matt Cameron from Soundgarden. This is my favorite TPR song. Taylor wrote the lyrics after a deep depression following Chris Cornell and Kato their producer's deaths. I love how the symbolism in the video fits the lyrics so well. For anyone that's delt with severe depression it's more apparent. The way there is 2 Taylor's the one in white that's in the water looking up in a pleading way as if asking for help and Taylor in black that's more comfortable sitting in the water like it's where she belongs. I can definitely relate to both sides of it and I think many can.
Almost everything I’ve seen and heard from them is awesome. Every song on their Going to Hell album is great, and their latest album is fire.
I gotta admit, the music definitely sounds like a Soundgarden song. It's as if Taylor was singing Chris' lyrics. And she nailed it.

Should check out Death By Rock in roll btw she was in the gossip girls, as Jenny it is referenced in Death by Rock n Roll, Also I like Got so High and Harley Darling along with Witches burn off the same LP as this song. BTW change of pace please Check out Night wish Ghost love score and Night Wish phantom of the opera. I have followed them since 97, A tremendously talented band I love Symphonic Rock, the talent in this Finnish Band is really Indescribable. It would be worth the time, please check out Night Wish all of their stuff will blow your mind.
