Man seeing how many times he could have used Cheat Code for a jackpot hurts. Also upgraded cheat code is so good it gives you essentially a 50% chance to jackpot every round
He used his limit break when cheat code would have given him the jackpot without rolling again, some weird choices are made

Well, sometimes it can cost you something, because you want to hold them for a forcefield or something later in the turn.

@@g80gzt Well yes, that would be the right choice, but that fairly specific case wasn't what was being referenced - at least not explicitly.
Using a one for pea shooter after only your first roll is safe in this episode, but it isnt always going to be the objectively right answer, therefore the claim that it "costs you nothing" is false.
Edit: In fact, OP said to use them so they don't disappear, actually excluding the possibility they were talking about using them after a jackpot. So yes, your hypothetical situation would be the correct play, but it's also not at all what was being talked about.
At 26:20 you totally could have used your unblinded 6 in heat sink to at least get 1 more roll. It hurt when you said "there's nothing else we could have done"

NL, when you use all of your abilities, please don't end turn and instead go for the Jackpot.
At that point, it's literally a free move.

31:47 You could take a 1/6 chance of hitting the jackpot for an additional 5 damage. It aint much but it is better than just ending turn.
NL, there is a phony way to guess what dice you get despite being blinded : You can kinda guess the dice by listening to the little sound the counter does when it goes up. This way you can roughly know if it was a small or a big number

NL...the point of this challenge is to help you realize just how valuable every single die is. Your dice are the single most valuable resource in the game.
Use yours ones on pea shooter to not waste them. Try to get more dice and use those anywhere you can. That's why things like Hall of Mirrors makes the witch phenomenal.
37:47 Why do you keep ending your turn without taking that last roll? Even if you have no items left, if you hit a jackpot you still get some extra payout you can use. Worst case scenario is you bust and the turn ends anyway.

it's so stupidly obvious, painfull to watch, the game is to easy imo , watching NL teach you what not to do ! , i love it .
Egg, you can run from a fight. That 999 guy was dealing no damage and you cut it CLOSE to losing there. You should have ran and taken out the shield for cheat code, then fought him again with a proper setup.

Coming from a vod boy, I appreciate when you redo an epi you may have beaten on stream, it’s nice to see it all come together and it feel like a series where you’re going through everything, even if it also feels like your just playing a game you enjoy, not putting together content for contents sake?

Rolling one more die to increase mechanical arm by 1 increases your total extra damage from the jackpot by 1, instead the better move is to do 5 more damage
depend if that extra dice you are rolling can go somewhere useful like ultima weapon it often ends up doing more than 5 damage
Mechanical arm was at 8 dmg but he didnt have the even. He wasnt rolling for 1 more dmg he was rolling for an even.

Northernlion hasn't figured out how to use cheat code yet. That should have been his first upgrade. Adding 2 to the range of jackpot means you have at worst a 50% chance of hitting jackpot when activated. With ultimate weapon, that becomes pretty incredible.

Once again NL rushes to use his dice before even getting close to error, like throwing evens at basic damage instead of enabling mechanical arm.
To be fair, for this challenge specifically you can get cucked by holding dice. Mechanical arm is one of the weaker equipment for this episode unless you can guarantee not busting and have an even at the end
I swear he just doesn’t roll the dice one more time when it’s 1 away from the jackpot just to piss us off

Idea for once the game is completed, if NL still wants to play more: rotate through characters each video/roll a dice to choose a character out of the 6, and roll a dice to choose which episode to play
facing cornelius, why not run away and replace the useless shield with some extra damage then go back? it's not like he's going to reach 99 damage in the couple of turns it takes to run.
You assume he even knows there's a run away mechanic, let alone even use it.
he did accidentally use it once as the thief, but he might not have internalized it.
With Heat sink you are almost guaranteed to make short circuit work

@@JarPanda if the thief takes a move from the enemy The Alchemist they might take "turn into bear" and if you use that you become a bear for the rest of the run. All your thief equipment is replaced with bear equipment

I don't understand every turn where NL uses up his equipment, but declines to roll for a chance at the jackpot. Isn't that just missing a chance at 5 free damage or 3 health? Happens at the turn at 36:00 for example. I think it happened a few times, not sure if I'm off base here, but I don't think I am.
Yes, you are completely correct. There is no reason to not roll for jackpot or bust when you have nothing left on the board

there's 36 episodes (at least, 6 characters x 6 levels), so that's like winning every other game, that's not too bad.

@@jimmyh2137 not really, first and second episodes are abnormally easy compared to episode 3,4,6. With the inventor he will take like 20 videos to beat the remaining episodes

Well there's two possibilities as I see it right now, as shortly after NL uploaded the robot vod, and robot episode I tweeted him that i figured out that the robot technically counters blind since you can use the sound on the roll to tell what you rolled. He liked it so I know he saw it, so again we find ourselves at two possibilities. One, all of this is still backlog and was recorded before my tip reached his eyes, or Two he forgot. Both are just as likely, so ladies and gentlemen taking all bets on which one it is.
Looks like theres a 7th character. If you complete all 6 chapters of a character, you will see it pop up. anyone have it unlocked or know what it is?
It's not a 7th character per se, but there is a mode to play that you pick in the character select screen.
Less then five minutes in and already misplaying.
I feel you dont value cheat code enough. upgraded with the blade gives you a 50% shot of making jackpot and you can even knwo when you can force a jackpot.
Bro just dump the ones into Pea Shooter. If you’re not going to use them elsewhere then there’s literally no reason not to.
You need to look at cheat code sometimes. So many misplays where jackpot was looking you right in the face
I'm noticing the heals and shields in this game barely serve a purpose. I hope some of the later chapters force you to be more strategic.
Episode 3 for each character has been a way bigger challenge
I'm actually extremely tilted how he went on a talk about how it's a good thing to bust after using your dice. Then proceeds a bunch of fucking times near the end to end turn with the counter 1 away. LIKE EGG WHY
USE CHEAT CODE YOU EGG
You can know the dice number by the sound (When you are blind) ... it's not that hard. Just pay attention to the number of clicks

It's the cheapest of moves.
I don't think it's cheap. It's Made on purpose. It's like saying it's cheap checking if a dice is higher than 3 using a blind dice on a 3 max value card. You are gambling either way. The goal of this game is to manipulate randomness and make it as consistent as possible
Ryan, I can't tell you how much i appreciate your logical thinking. I tried to watch BaerTaffy's Dicey runs to fill the egg shaped hole in my soul between your uploads. His refusal to min/max his rolls only turned me into old man yells at cloud. Bless your shiny dome for all the high quality entertainment that you provide. I am forever in debt to the Egg Lord.

Wait, not much content beyond the episodes in the game?!?! But you've played so much of other games like this
Buster Blade is mandatory for me, it's a fallback option for when you bust, and the amount of times I got a 6 when I needed a 1 is comical. Bump Blade is also great, I would never pass it up unless I somehow don't need fixing, which isn't common. This run was strong, but could have been stronger.
I kind of like big eggcam even if it does block that one card slot then it covers the whole icon of the character. Also if you keep it here it could be cool if you centered it so the arms are coming out of your cam 😂

Really enjoying the Dicey Dungeons series, but I don't really enjoy watching the gameplay of some of the characters (specifically, the witch and the robot).
I know it's a bit of a selfish ask, but could you go back to putting the character in the title of the video like you did at the beginning of the series?
