- Here's an video I made while installing a Mishimoto Oil Cooler on my 2004 Subaru WRX STI!
I was experiencing higher than usual temperatures on my Blobeye STI, and I think I found the solution!
I hope this video helps you guys with your install, or is at least somewhat entertaining to watch.
Thanks for watching, and all the support guys. I really appreciate the views, likes, comments and subscribers!! It's been awesome.

Thank you for posting this. I have an 04 sti built to 400hp, getting a little warm. 230-245 degrees. My exhaust manifold is wrapped though, so that won't be as much of a concern for me.
I'm glad they fit with a front mount intercooler.
I thought the ports had been on top or on the side to avoid air pockets.
Yours was installed pots at the bottom?
u should get the pink sti on te fog light covers it looks way nicer, great video though
I agree! They removed all the logos when the car got painted. I'll have to find a place to order them!
Two things, the weight of the oil and the size of the oil cooler lines can be a factor. Hope you got it sorted out tho, cars nice bro.
Hey man love the car !!
Would u ever own a wrx wagon?,
And what’s your daily driver?
Keep up the good work bro 😎
Thanks!
Im not against owning a wagon. I was looking at them before I bought both my cars.
My daily is my 2006 WRX.
Hey what GoPro settings do you use? Could you look at my video and tell me why it looks so weird? Thanks
What was your oil pressure fix?
How is the uel header looker for tune? always wanted one but some say uel header is not that different than stock in terms of benifit
It makes about 15-20whp more than my stock header on the same boost. Before I retuned it, it made the same power on 21psi as the stock header did on 24psi. The power has increased all the way across the powerband. I also have a turboxs uppipe, external wastegate, and full catless 3" exhaust. So all that probably helps over the stock header.
Just Subscribed
Awesome! I appreciate it, thanks!
Would you Consider selling the blobeye?
I actually bought it with the intention of getting it running and selling it.
So the answer would be yes, I have considered selling it.
@@lonniebrown6678 well let me know when u are and how much whenever ur ready
I would have no idea how to price the car.
I'll keep you in mind though!
@@brandonlafave9293 are you still interested?
bro one question is this EJ25 engine right ?
Yes it is. Sti block, wrx heads.
If you go back in my videos, I recorded the entire engine build.
U track ur car ?
I don't track my car. I would really like to get into doing that. The local track has been closed for the past couple years. I would have to go out of town.
But whenever I drive the car, I drive her pretty hard. So there's definitely going to be a benefit to installing this cooler.
@@lonniebrown6678 nope
It doesn't go upside down. It'll empty everytime you stop. You'll get momentary oil starve when it kicks in.
You need to fill it before fitting
How are you going to fill a cooler, that has exits facing towards the ground :D:D:D:D
Sligtly loosen the return fitting on the cooler and crank the engine until oil seeps out
