      Hi Brain, I purchased 2021 Toyota Highlander xse awd in the dealership in Alaska but the dealership bought a car in auction in Canada and I tried many times to change Celsius to Fahrenheit and I did not success. Is there anyway to change that

    Oh my goodness this is the best explanation video I’ve seen. Thorough but concise. I love that you didn’t just say this is what button this button is. You gave a brief description of what that button does and when to use it. The best. Thank you very much.

    Great job Brian! Yes this video is precisely what I was seeking. I'm a 66 year old guy who just bought a 2022 highlander and felt overwhelmed with all the books and manuals that I would need to read to figure out all the buttons. You nailed it! And I totally appreciated you advising that you would go fast because that's my style and you saying so helped further induce me to watch. You're easy to listen to and you deliver the information in a very palatable way. Keep up the good work

    Thanks so much, Brain! This was wonderful to see a video on all the buttons. I've read the information included with the car, but this video really pulls it all together. I did have an excellent sales person show me all the buttons when I first got the car. However, this review will be saved as this car has 40 computer operated devices and it's difficult to remember how to access and operate all of them. This video definitely helps me to be more intuitive when I operate the vehicle. You really solved a problem for me. This speeded up the learning curve dramatically!

    It was helpful. My xse was delivered yesterday. I did a factory order in December 2021 and received it 3/25/2022. I'm older and they just dumped the car in my driveway and I wasn't told a thing about how to even turn it on. I had to figure out that your foot needs to be on the brake for the engine to fire up. I'm very intimidated by all the buttons. I haven't driven it yet. I need to figure out how to hook my garage door up to it and how to use the Bluetooth. I couldn't even get the hatch to open but had to figure out you have to hold the button inside the car. I've never been able to get the key fob to open it. My dash is black and dark and difficult to read the print on the controls. This video was very helpful and I've saved it so I can refer back to it whenever I need to. Thank you.

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. Thank you! So for when you are in the market, the windshield projector is called “Heads Up Display” or (HUD). As off this year, that is offered on the Platinum and Platinum Hybrid grades.
      So to answer which is better between the limited and XSE, here my my answer:
      -for a better DRIVING experience, the XSE.
      -for more COMFORT and luxury, Limited.
      With as much as I love sporty driving, I would choose the limited. I love comfort features. And if I really want to drive THAT sportily, I can pickup an old sports car for my Sunday drives 👌🏼.
      Hope that helps!

    Hi Brian. I have a 2021 limited awd. I noticed that the distance to empty on your dash there was 285 miles. When I fill up mine the most mileage I get is 238 miles. It seems like I have put gas every week and I really don’t do a lot of driving. In 6 months I barely put 4k miles. The other day I let my gas tank run to almost empty before refueling and the pump only took 14 gallons, however to my understanding the Highlander had a 17 gallon tank. Why would that be?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! The fuel economy on a new car is not as accurate because it didn’t run a few tanks to calculate.
      If you’re not getting the efficiency you expected and the weather is mild and you don’t idle a lot, I’d consider having it checked up!

    I get message “ Navigation App is Not Installed “
    So how do I get it installed or is it that some XSE model have it by default & some don’t ?

    • @brianruperti
      @brianruperti  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the integrated navigation is actually not standard specifically on XSE models so you will have to plug in your smart phone to use apple CarPlay or android auto which in my opinion is superior option anyway since those maps have additional features

      Yes the integrated navigation is actually not standard specifically on XSE models so you will have to plug in your smart phone to use apple CarPlay or android auto which in my opinion is superior option anyway since those maps have additional features
