First, a great quality video Brian! Second, the previous generation (2017 to 2019) was my favorite generation of Highlander also! This new generation is just fine as well! I do like the XSE trim. Cockpit Red looks great in the Highlander as well. I also like both previous generation Highlander hybrid and the present generation hybrid! Previous generations did have the reliable 2GRfe 3.5 V6. This next gen V6 is equally great! Well put together Brian! Mark in Iowa.
I went with the Platinum, you would think that the highest trim also gets a more aggressive front end. Ultimately, the panoramic sunroof, HUD, ventilated seats, adaptive headlights, stronger fogs, rearview mirror screen, leather, caramel interior, etc etc made the difference. The sportier look and suspension combined with the Platinum options would be the ultimate.
I was so close to buying a new highlander over the 4runner, ultimately my towing and off road needs won out. The red interior is beautiful. My only knock on the red interiors on the highlander is the third row looks odd. Unfinished looking with it being black. Great review great car!
@@brianruperti of course and I understand that. The problem is that you are on a suv and should be higher, not having the feel of driving a sports car.

2021 The front of the car is more beautiful and luxurious than the 2022 model
You may be confusing this XSE with the XLE. Please see them both and let me know, because they didn’t really change the highlander much for 22.

From what I see just captains
Does the XSE have the same awd system as the limited and platinum or is it like the lower trims?
XSE also has the Torque vectoring system which is a step above the L, LE, and XLE.
Vehicles should have a place for a women’s purse. My wife wouldn’t buy the highlander for this reason, ordered the telluride.

Ahh nice choice on the 4runner. Yes it’s noticeable but I’m sure they had their reasons. And thanks for your support!
They are great cars. The only downside is that grill, it seats too low, you’ll hit anything and everything!

Just got the pearl white. Really good looking. I couldn’t do the red seats. Love the features.. can’t wait to get it broke in.
