Echos are easy to start and last a long time this is not a commercial for echo the only problem I ever had was gas getting old I use 91 in oklahoma thatsxall we have and red armor oil it burns cleaner than the original echo oil.
You'll need torx bits, typically T25 on a weedeater, to remove the carburetor, set everything the way it was, replace the fuel lines if the kit you purchase includes them. Pay attention to the order everything is installed, copy it perfectly.
I have an early 2000's version of this Echo. It's a little cold blooded, meaning it doesn't like to run at first, but after it warms up, it's a champ.
I had a echo SRM 225 it only lasted a little bit because the power on it was just not what I was used to.
I love the 280T, too bad it’s not available in my area anymore
How is it against the srm 2620 or the 410x?
I love my srm 225 echo it is a good one I love it because it’s a light weight weed and it is got a speed feed head so it is easy to put string in

Can’t get mine to catch … hate it
good trimmers
Do you leave the choke on full or half way while using?
Mine won't run without choking it. Even if I have been using it for 30 minutes. What is wrong with it?

Don’t listen to this guy ^^^^^. 110% your spark arrestor is clogged. Remove and clean it.
Hold the buttons down as youre pulling
