Jump rope is saving my life. I am 80, neither old nor young, and have cancer that’s metastasised. Now I’m jumping rope at least 5 times a week, at least 20 mins a day, trying the simpler tricks. Keeps me going and motivated. Weight loss is not my problem, I am preventing muscle loss. Thank you for the amazingly helpful videos. Keeps me alive 👍 Ps: my treatment saps my energy badly, so I’ve asked the guys in the gym to kick my butt when I am slacking. Keeps me on my toes, literally. Using 1/4 and 1/2 pound Cross ropes.
The day this was uploaded i started this workout as a beginner. The first week got back into the rhythm and only did the 10 minutes. It felt great. The week after and this week been doing it daily. I feel better physically and mentally. Today I did 2 sets of this workout. Super stoked. Thank you for good nature and sharing your workouts. I love being pushed and its like you and the community are in it with me. Thank you!
I feel ya, Dan: sometimes my bandwidth is just maxed out too! I’m glad u don’t edit that stuff out. I enjoyed the workout a lot, and I liked the summary at the end: you’ve really honed in on your core messages, the most important points. Thank u!!
I give a little testimony, I am 58 years old, a sportsman, cycling, windsurfing, swimming, but I never run, my body is not used to the shocks of running, which we find with skipping rope, so I started skipping rope ago At 3 weeks, I quickly felt back pain in my ribs, I had to go see a chiropractor, before starting the jump rope again I have to work on strengthening the muscles in my back, pay attention to this, otherwise I finds this sport really super enjoyable and effective
Just out of curiosity, what interval is used in these videos? I use the tabata timer that's pretty robust that allows warm up, work sets, rest, recovery and cool down. And the works sets can be cycled for multiple rounds. But I was just curious which one is used here.
Hi,i just started doing jump ropes and i am a beginner. Do you think it is a good investment to purchase your rope? Can your rope length be adjusted? And last will this weight rope really hurt when it hit you? I am really interested in the weight rope and want to lose weight efficiently and this effective work out really interest me.
Hi, so yes I think it's an excellent investment no you cannot adjust the rope length so consult the sizing chart. here's a video with more info that might help: th-cam.com/video/PMMXSnb_0Yg/w-d-xo.html

Always a useful video. I've been able to work out longer than 10 minutes now but still can't stop tripping on the rope.
And we never will. That is part of the game.
that's totally cool, i trip ALL the time. just keep going and don't worry about it.

@@JumpRopeDudes it was great! We used it as a warm up. Except we alternated between the 1/2 lb and 1 lb rope because it’s all I had lol.
What about coming to Berlin?? :)
Working on it!

I am BEGINNER , thank you
Awesome, welcome and let me know if you have any questions with jumping rope!
Would you ever recommend or do steady state jump rope instead of HIIT?
for sure, it's a great endurance training method and it depends entirely on what your goals are.
