Three flat tires on the rear tire of my Hover 1 led me here. I’m not mechanical, so needed some help. Really helped with assembly and disassembly, thank you. I boiled the tire 2x and no way could I get that tire on the rim. Wrong tools, wrong leverage. However, the fellas down at World Famous Mike’s Bikes (motorcycle shop) in Queen Creek AZ were able to pretty quickly. The right tools make the difference, for sure. For all y’all that got this on by yourself, kudos.
Thanks! Your tutorial helped me a great deal. Took me about an hour to first get the old tire to come off (idk why but it was the hardest) and then replace it with a new one. Boiled the rubber and managed to wrap it around the wheel with just bare hands and two large screwdrivers to center the tyre later. Took some serious effort but was definitely worth it. The repair shop where I live overcharges for the service. It can be done so don't give up people!
If a tire was hard to get on it usually boils down to heat. A really good way is gloves and a microwave. Heat it 1 min, flip, 1 min, flip, 1min and then put it on the edge of a work bench. I was able to stretch it right on then. Then just make sure both walls are aligned properly and use a lever to help pop it on if needed. Heat is the best way to make it easier, without that i would have a very hard time
Thank you for this. 3 hours and a lot of sweat and I finally got my tire on. Same exact one as yours and had the same issues lol. I actually had the hardest time getting the original tire off and ended up cutting it off with some strong scissors. Made it a lot easier. Thanks again for your help. You rock.
Thanks, this helped out a lot. I added salt to the water to raise the boiling point and this definitely made them more pliable and hotter! Definitely used the trick with the hole in the wood.

A reviewer should always mentioned if a scooter have splitt-able tyre-rims, or not. The Zero 8/9/10 models have it, for example. It's still gonna be a hassle to change tubes/tyres for customers without skills and tools - but at least it's gonna be a much smaller hassle. And bicycle-stores with workshops are more likely to help you out. Especially if you already have the spare-tube with you.

the mount for rim setup you have is good. but all that effort to stretch the tire is crazy. How about with current setup of using a zip tie one side of the rim, your mount. Just insert a metal rod into one of the holes on the opposite end of the tire. attach a ratchet strap on the rod and secure the strap to something firm. Start tightening and when the tire stretches just use the flat bar to slide the rest of the tire in. You may need 2 flat bars to make this easier.

Although you don't mention it, did you look at the tread pattern to see if you're mounting the tire appropriately for the direction of rotation? The tread pattern seems to indicate it would want to be mounted one way or the other for leading water out to the sides.

hey my tube tire is flat i want to teplace it with solid tire but the size of my default tube tire is 8.1 its hard to find a 8.1 on the internet they are all 8.5 is 8.5 fit on my wheel? what do you think
Don’t leave a solid tire on the same spot for too long if the scooter is very heavy You will get a flat spot on it. And you gonna have to buy a new You have to always prop it up That’s what they don’t tell you
I'm thinking of either replacing the inner tubes of my hover-1 tires or buying solid tires. Which one do you feel is better? Also, on a side note, apparently many electric scooters get flats easily, since the tires are smaller so they are more prone to become flat. No wonder so many people have the same issue! This is why I'm thinking of buying solid tires instead. On another side note, I clicked on the glow in the dark solid tires and it said the product was currently unavailable. Do you have any other glow in the dark alternatives from which I could buy? And you said it is also possible to buy solid tires attached to the rim. Do you have any links for these? Thanks again for everything! I have a hover-1 pioneer, not a xiaomi 365, so even though a lot of solid tires work with the pioneer, a bunch of solid tires with the rim attached are not compatible with the pioneer.

hi , can i buy them red in 8p and adapt them to my xprit 10p scooter?
I have no idea what you’re asking, but if you’re asking about buying an 8 inch tire and putting them on a ten inch wheel that’s probably not going to work
hey my tube tire is flat i want to teplace it with solid tire but the size of my default tube tire is 8.1 its hard to find a 8.1 on the internet they are all 8.5 is 8.5 fit on my wheel? what do you think
Honestly I'm not sure. You could try an 8 inch and see how it works; might be hard to get on though. . .
How you do the front?

Don’t leave a solid tire on the same spot for too long if the scooter is very heavy You will get a flat spot on it. And you gonna have to buy a new
You have to always prop it up
That’s what they don’t tell you
Do I have to order two of those if I have one with a tube 8,5 inch. Xiaomi Pro
Only if you want to replace both tires. If you want to keep the tube, then just get one: amzn.to/30V3Zo8
The thing is solid tires was bumpy ! And you can feel the vibration everytime you hit the road lines 😢
That’s why I installed some shocks on the scooter. Seems to have helped
The replacement tire, did you put it on a hover 1 scooter? Amazon said the tire is for Xiaomi scooter.
Yes, it's on a Hover 1 scooter. Which also has the same 8.5" tire as the Xiaomi scooter. They both have the same tire size
How about Hover 1 Alpha ???
Tire and inner tube ???
Or solid tire ???
I can't able to find it anywhere any ideas please let me know
i have hover -1 dynamo how do i take off back tire
yeah, this really works if you want to destroy your rim
The first time I did it it felt like the hardest thing ever then after like the 10th time doing it I can do does thing no problom
Hi Andi, I have an m365 pro and I've had my second pincture and at present I'm struggling to put the tire on 1 side of the rim can u help
Anyone know what the inner groove width is on the tires and the rims?
Is there any downsides?
The ride is less comfortable
There's options like suspensions: th-cam.com/video/jioY6IqFeDw/w-d-xo.html
@@AndiWofford yeah but I wouldn’t want to deal with putting one on
That's fair. It's a commitment of a couple hours and money for sure. There's downsides to everything. Pneumatic tires have the capacity to go flat.
@@AndiWofford yep.
Can this work fo the turboant x7
I tried to contact the website but they just said that they wouldn't be back til January
And I contacted them every other week since November
It would appear so, as the website says that scooter has an 8.5" tire: amzn.to/30V3Zo8
Took me about 8mins to get mine on it wasn’t easy tho
How about the front tyre?!
Yep - made a video on that here: th-cam.com/video/dzsgjCj397c/w-d-xo.html
Love it! Amazing video, Andi!
Awe, Thanks Jewlz! You're so sweet!
Denis bike mechanics : hold my beer ...
Still didn’t work out
I’m sorry to hear that
Respect
Thank you so much!
@@AndiWofford No, thank you. Keep up the good work
I got mine on with only one screwdriver and my knees
Great job! Took me two leverage points.
Nice brag thanos
