Happy New Year! I really like seeing your LS feed as the dominant video so we can see what you are seeing and what you are doing! I'm not sure I've seen that many Crappie on a pile in my Texas lake :) Nice video insert of your Dad -- cool memories!
Finally someone who gets it we want to see more screen than the angler More vids like this with informing us thru the video almost like a play by play Can u do a settings video on water resetting your unit to factory and walking us thru set up for us guys just getting into this livescope Thank u sir
How are you connecting your bow camera to your Chartplotter to record video? What are the components of your new setup vs Active Captain. Really enjoy your videos!
I just published the video on how I record the screen without Active Captain. However to you other question, this is the camera mount I use that attaches to the graph mount. yolotek.com/products/bolt-on-camera-mount
I like for people to be able to see the jigs hit the water and travel down to the fish. Sometimes if the overlay is on that side, it blocks a lot of that
Subscribed after watching your videos you gave some good direction to build a live scope pole with PVC. Now question if I was using as trolling with my Trolling motor will it work ok or do I need to upgrade
Brian I'm still trying to learn my livescope. It seems like you're running your gain pretty hot. You have a lot more clutter in the background and the school looks blown out. Is there an advantage to running it that hot? I would also love to see how you break down and identify fish in future video's. I struggle with the difference between crap and catfish. Shad and crappie are pretty easy. I haven't really ran it much on Walleye and white bass lakes yet.
I want as much information from the transducer as possible, without filtering out different things in the water column. A perfectly clean screen isn’t as important to me.
To your point though yes, I could probably drop the color gain down a bit. But often times when I’m editing the video and have to zoom in the Livescope footage, sometimes it looks more blown out than it actually is
Kinda not really. He sent me a bunch of rods last year no strings attached. He knows I only crappie fish two months out of the year. Nice little rods, hate the microwave guides on most of em though
These fish are aggressive. Do you ever take your clients over piles you have fished just to teach them the basics of reading 2d, Di or side imaging. I know I became better at reading traditional sonar after getting the scope
Most times we will roll over them after we're done fishing. I'd rather sneak up on them with LS initially instead of potentially spooking them with the big engine
What is the big deal?? Anyone with forward facing Sonar can do this. I sure hope you are taking Barotruma into consideration. I personal will not fish crappie deeper than 15 to 20 ft. Hope you have some fish left after a couple of years of this kind of fishing pressure. I doubt it!! Hope all you new LiveScopers fish responsibly
If you don’t like FFS why are you watching this video? Before I got my FFS I hated it. But for me to compete in tournaments I had to buy it. My bass tournaments are catch weigh release. My use in crappie is for my family to eat or catch and release. But to compete now days you better have it or join a club where no one has it.
I did not say I was against it. What I said was you have to use it responsibly. I am glad to see that your tournaments are catch weight and release. Your club is ahead of the curve. It is not going to be long before all tournaments are that way. I don't know what level of tournaments you fish but I do know from fishing tournaments at all levels from the mid 80s to the early 2000s that 5% of the anglers win 95% of the money. Hope you are one of the 5 %ers. Good luck this year hope you do well. @@jameslovelace8958
You make the tying of those jig heads look so easy. Thanks for showing how you do it.

Gooood evening from central Florida! Hope everyone has a great night! Happy fishing!
Just got my livescope and this video was helpful to judge size of the fish. God bless
Livescope is cheating....no respect dude

Check out my Garmin/Livescope playlist. I have several settings videos.
Can't you catch fish using skills & talent? Amazing, "anglers" think cheating is the future of fishing
@@andybales7318 thanks for stopping by with your opinion Andy!

Doing a full video this week on it 👍🏻

Nice double at the end 😊 keep up the good work.
Love your content! Get my livescope next month. Consider moving your overlay to bottom left from top left...
Keep up the Great Work!

It’s amazing that there is no lag time from the bite to the release on the screen. I hear crappie are good eaters yet they call them crap pie 🥧
They smell awful but taste great.
Just a few questions I saw the type of braid your using but what size and also what size jigs are you using?
10# braid, 1/8 oz jigs
What lake is this im from Kansas as well and having no luck.
Every reservoir in Kansas sets up this same way as far as the Crappie bite goes.
How did you get the metal knobs for youe seelite? I have plastic and one has already broken and had to replace

Probably want to get something more sturdy.
How do you fish this type structure when you carry 2 people on a guide trip? I always enjoy and learn from your videos.
I have two Livescopes in the boat. I can fish 4 people on two different units in the front and back.
Thanks for your reply, I try to watch all your crappie videos and alway learn something. @@KansasAnglingExperience
Pam cooking spray? 🤔
I fished Lake Eufaula OK on Jan 1 & 2 2024, filleted 150 between 3 of us; biggest was just shy of 2lbs.
Try it, it works. Chapstick too.
Lookin to switch to 10lb braid for jiggin all year. Any suggestions for color/brand? Thanks playa
Suffix 832 Neon Lime is all I use. Best braid.

What are you using to recognize rd your livescope?
🥴 what
That’s when you catch your limit in 30 minutes with a school like that lol.. Would have been a quick 50 piece here in south Louisiana lol..👍🏿
Easy pickins

I’ll be doing a video on it in the next few days. Keep in mind it is only compatible with GPSMap units.

Why are you throwing back bleeding fish??Sour
They’ll be fine bud.
All bleeding stops. I’m not a veterinarian, but I am a surgeon. Unless the fish has a bleeding disorder, they will be ok.
