I live in Japan and i'm growing Agave lechuguilla, Peyote, Echinocereus rigidissimus, and Hechtia texensis. When I transfer them from pots to a desert terrarium, I will put some limestones into there too like the awesome landscape in this video.
Echinocereus rigidissimus doesn't need limestone it grows in AZ on granite soils the others like limestone , its pure limestone they grow on . I use Gypsum.
Excellent video, a real treat for my eyes! I've seen the preview pictures on the Forum and been waiting for this. 😀👍 Thank you and best regards, Nino P.S. Is that hedgehog on 15:40 Echinocereus enneacanthus or E. stramineus?
Fun seeing the Ariocarpus in their own habitat. These are usually the last Chihuahuan Cacti to bloom, with pretty light violet flowers in fall. I have several in tall/narrow pots in afternoon desert sun. Now 5 to six inches across after many years in the very deep pots. No fertilizer and very little water.
Sehr schön Kakteen im Habitat zu sehen. Ich liebe alle, besonders Echinocereen.🌵🤗
nice field trip! love the Mammillaria at the end!
Glad you enjoyed it!
