I was sitting opposite Labour's deputy leader, Angela Rayner, in the middle of an interview quite different to those I would normally be expected to carry out.

God love Angela Raynor 🙏🏼💜 I remember how passionate she got when the Tories voted no to free school meals, she's such a genuine advocate for a range of causes and doesn't pander to the Right just to win votes. I wish she was leader. Thank you for sharing your family's bipolar journey
I'm not pro labour but i would vote for her over Keir. I am at an impasse, as i don't like either labour or cons.

I wish this was true, but she's had little impact on benefits ideology within Labour this far. If anything Labour are going to be even harder on those with any disabilities. A real shame 😞
A lot of psychiatric conditions are misdiagnosed, undiagnosed, may have comorbidities .
took me 6 months to get my diagnosis most people i know have got it within a year.,
It’s the same with bpd it’s hard to get a diagnosis I knew for years it was more than depression took me 17 years to get a diagnosed and I had to fight to get it. Definitely a problem in the uk with getting diagnosis for mental health issues

I am not voting for Labour in this year's election.

@nigelkthomas9501 Bipolar is diagnosed through psychological tests, and the medication reaffirms the diagnosis e.g. lithium and other mood Stabilisers.
If you have seen major depression disorder, then you haven't seen depression phase of bipolar... on a completely different scale. Mania phase can vary but any non-medical people can clearly see mania (by the way the bipolar person talks, walks and behaviours)

I can't see any connection between the age someone becomes a Grandmother and political ability. I wouldn't vote for her btw, but that's not the reason.
@g.p616 Under these Tory toffs, (many of whom were private school educated), knife crime and gang violence has proliferated. Maybe it would actually be a much needed and refreshing change to have someone who wasn't born with a silver spoon and can actually relate to many in Britain. Although perhaps people who hold such judgmental and classist views as yourself cannot see the "little people" from your ivory tower 🤔

@An-Alien-On-Earth what is the "lol" for? You have the a-s*xual flag as your profile pic. How would you like being mocked for that and having people think you can't be leader or deputy just because of it? Angela herself isn't bipolar but when properly medicated people who are can still live full and active lives and could absolutely be deputy.
I think the point is we need well balanced healthy knowledgable people to be in control of our country. Not people who feel they have not had control over their lives so having political control will make up for it.
@@curlew-3592 'well balanced healthy people'! Well good luck finding any of those, but you've failed to understand something really important. People who have had difficulties in their lives and overcome them are better suited to do work like this, because they have an innate and empathic understanding of how problematic life can be and make a massive effort to address the problems of whichever field they work in. Those who are reared in relative comfort with no 'troubles' ( though that description would fit few) are less likely to be equipped to do public work, in particular, very wealthy people who've always lived in wealth. All they know is how to make more wealth for themselves... they have not been forged or tempered by life's fire and usually have no real idea what life is like for other, non wealthy folk.

True, the timing of this is suspicious. From the articles I read, she's been diagnosed before the scandal but it wasn't a news line on media. You would have to look through her podcasts and articles found at the bottom of the page...

This is not Angela Rayner's video - its been made by someone else, she's just contributing, that's all. Judging by half the comments on this thread, people seem to have a serious mental health issue, namely, zero empathy and understanding. I worry about the future of the world quite frankly, and not because of Rayner... are people just stupid, or totally self centred, I can't work it out....
