I live in Wellington and have cycled most of these roads & trails with the exception of the Coalport to Town Centre section. Telford is a great area for casual cruising for those of us not into racing. Miles of off road cycle tracks and quiet lanes. As somewhan else commented Spout Lane makes the lungs work out a bit but the decent to the Forest Glenn makes it worth the climb. Keep the videos coming. I might load up the bike rack to try the Birmingham canal ride next.
Great video, nice to hear some very familiar names of places. My Mum grew up in Newport and used to cycle around the lanes between there and Muxton in the 1940s and 1950s. 😎
I’ve cycled up the Wrekin, but not around it (a local term for ‘round the houses’) - it’s a lovely part of the world, with some great rides. Just watch the climbs, and the odd busy road!
You live near me I’m in Muxton I usually head north of Muxton into the countryside on my road bike, but this loop is making me want to get a Gravel bike
Watched this one start to finish. I grew up in Trench so all very familiar territory. Great video and loved the voiceover. I just bought a DJI NEO for the follow mode on cycling and e-scooters. You might enjoy this as addition to your great footage. Video on my channel. Scott
Glad you enjoyed it, not a bad part of the world in my un biased opinion 😀 will check out your channel, might be interested in a drone at some point. Thanks for watching!
This is what cycling is about, not ftp, watts/kg and all that nonsense. Great videos and knowledge.
Agree with that! I am not bothered about any of that stuff, I like a nice route with interesting things and pleasant riding. Thanks for watching!

We are lucky to have some great riding in the area! I caught the train to Birmingham with my bike, avoids all the traffic! Thanks for watching!
What a fantastic interesting video
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Thanks enjoyed that
Glad you liked it, hopefully you can get to do the route yourself when the weather is a bit better. Thanks for watching!

It is beautiful part of the world, and one with a lot of history. Thanks for watching!

We are lucky to have some lovely quiet lanes close by. I got my gravel bike this summer and haven’t touched my road bike since! Thanks for watching!
Thanks
Thank you, much appreciated!

Spout Lane is painfull 😁
I was glad for the low ratios on my bike heading up that one, but you do earn a great decent down into the gorge. Thanks for watching!
Is there a gpx file available?
Yep, check the video description for the Komoot and Garmin connect links for the ride, thanks for watching!
