Thank you for this lovely and honest review. Torn between choosing the EP7 and the EP8 as when the two are compared side by side, there does appear to be small issues. Am not sure if the updates for both sort out the issues like sound and stabilization though for both versions.
Facebook Live I don't know, but it does connect via wifi and its own app for use in streaming. From the app you can get a preview of what the camera sees, change settings, etc. Also you can remotely move photo and video files from the camera to your phone.
Great review! Can you please upload somewhere like Google drive some of the original footage files from the camera, it would be great to see original video quality without TH-cam video compression.
Thanks for your note. I'm sorry but the original footage is no more. Once the video was completed I removed it to save space. I will say that the quality of the video was, overall, Better in "real" life than after I uploaded it to TH-cam. TH-cam seems to have degraded the quality, at least in part.
This is a very specific use type of camera. If that is what you need, I think that it's a lot of camera for the money. So yes, I would still recommend it. However, if money were of no concern, I personally would get a GoPro with all it's bells and whistles.
I haven't had a situation where the battery was exhausted so I can't say with any certainty how long battery life may be. However, I've used it on the go for an hour or more without problem. When I transfer my videos I tend to always top-up the battery so that I'm always starting full.

@@fromthebeadmaker I downloaded the video and was able to stabilize it very nicely in Davinci. Not that bad for making TH-cam videos
