Thank you for this really good video. I wanted to go down and see the Villages but now I’m not so sure. The hurricanes frighten me. I need to visit Arizona. Been there before but just to Grand Canyon. Love the glasses!
Thanks so much for watching! The hurricanes have thrown a big wrench in a lot of people’s plans for sure. Let me know if you decide to come check out AZ!
Thank you Shawn. Another excellent video, and such an excellent point on establishing yourself into a healthcare network before you need it. Airport issue is also very much on point. I have a dear friend that lives in Tallahassee, and trying to get there is certainly more involved and costly than other parts of Florida.
The traffic getting to the airport there and back can be a serious problem but they do have a good selection of flights. I've heard reviews of the healthcare and I wouldn't choose it. I'm extremely happy with my experience with life saving care I have at Mayo and HonorHealth here in Arizona. Thanks so much for watching and for your comments!
you forgot a couple more one is the heat! Can you handle the heat there? No for me. I have family there, sister and brother and I could not handle the heat or or five months out of the year and the second is transportation. If you were disabled and you cannot drive transportation, there is very very bad. It is a. driving City or state I should say so if you cannot drive, you're gonna have problems with that.
The heat is not even a big deal for me. I came from snow so this is a welcome relief. I never have to shovel it or scrape it off my window. Every home has A/C and we stay cool. Now the driving is going to be an issue if you don't have a car. Most 55+ communities have volunteer drivers if you need to get to a medical appt or something. I'm thinking that AZ is not going to be your place Jan but thanks for watching!
The ground. Our laws dictate that to build a new subdivision there has to be a 100 year water supply. The vast majority of the water from the Colorado river goes to California and a small amount to agriculture. We have enough. But we are smart enough to know we live in a desert. We are very smart with our usage.
Love those glasses on you Shawn!
Thanks! I'm always on the hunt for a new pair since I lose them often. 🙂
Glasses are very cool...great info as always.
Glad you like them! I think I've found a pair I can live with. Just hope I don't misplace them!

Thanks so much! I think these are all critical things to think about for sure! Appreciate your comments!!
P.S. love the fun glasses!
Thanks! They are good ones for me I think.
Excellent points! Thank you. I don’t believe The Villages ranks well for healthcare access and airport proximity.

Where is the WATER going to come from?
