Well, Oro Valley Sun City, Highlands and Del Webb Dove Mt. just may be out of the running. Why may you ask? All 3 of these communities have a small number of Pickleball courts, 4,5 and 4 respectively. Unless Saddle Brooke 2 has more courts. SaddleBrooke Ranch may be the choice. I live in a Del Webb community in Rocklin CA with 868 homes, and we have 8 PB courts.

Sun City has a $2400 year activitvy fee. When you get to old to use the amenities, you still have to pay the fee!
Also consider senior manufactured home communities.
Saddlebrook and saddleebrrok ranch are very nice. One downside for me is it's a bit far from shopping and restaurants.
Communities with high cost HOA monthly fees and many rules. No thanks. I want to enjoy my life.
