I'm reserving Charlotte for when I make a tier list of backpacks for Xander.
(I forgot her again lel)
Just tier all the Conquest units by their usefulness as a backpack.

Really Charlotte's function is to make Xander double when he otherwise wouldn't
This means Charlotte's utility as a unit is granting another unit a second action in combat
Therefore Charlotte is a dancer and should be tiered accordingly
If you give Marty the 6 right crusader scrolls, you will on average end up with a unit that has capped literally every stat at level 20/20, with over 70 health. Add a mov ring to bring him up to 10 movement.
Marty is obviously the greatest unit in all of Fire Emblem, duh

Gonzales is just absurd in Ch 21, everyone else is crossing their fingers that they don't get skewered or one-shot by a Wyvern Lord while Gonzales just sits on a peak, spins his axe and 15 Wyvern Riders and 2 Wyvern Lords go bye bye one enemy phase, no sweat.
Largo is in a game where you are guaranteed to have a full team of good characters because of low difficulty. In a vacuum, he seems okay, but he feels bad joining in that awful hill map. Everyone feels bad there, and laguz are really good vs him. So you get a bad first impression and don't use him again. Still, he isnt a bad unit if you are short handed in an iron man run.
I think it's worth noting too that in the actual hardest difficulty of the game (Maniac Mode) he's actually even worse, because he doesn't have the crit bonus he has in the non-JP versions of the game.
I think you get him before Clash, not the slog mountain. He's much better in clash since he's so usable right out of the box and you can field like 40 characters.
He can't double consistently and dies too fast so I gave up trying to use him

@@peytongibbs2171 He’s a chapter 25 base convo, which is the rock eating map; Clash is 26 so technically yeah.
Him, Geoffrey, and Haar are serviceable filler units for Clash at least which is nice.
FE12 Darros actually is quite durable that he can actually survive doubles at base on H3/H4 against some enemies even in the late game. He's basically Belf if you traded lance rank for axe rank. The Axe Rank def allows him to put in work with a forged Poleaxe and Hammer from the c15 to c19 range, Devil Axe access helps too. Darros as a sniper for wyverns and Swordmaster in 12 work out quite well with the latter being able to double and ORKO Ice dragons in 13 with rainbow potion and unforged wyrmslayer. Darros' speed is a little spotty in a class like Draco but a big forge can allow him to serve his purpose considering he can take a modest amount of hits. He's def a B tier unit in the context of FE12 and in the context of this tier list.
Dice basically wants to be a swordmaster for reclassing namely for c12-c14 since he has speed issues to make use of draco in c11. He can ORKO Fire Dragons with Scorpio Shard with RP combined for c12 at base as an SM which allows him to do something. His growths are spotty namely strength but it's speed u really want for dice to keep up in Anri Chapters and then once 15 comes around, u reclass him to draco so he can utilize hammers and poleaxes although the former he gets more milage cuz generals. He isn't bad but u gotta put in a modest amount of effort for him to work.
Yeah Darros has like the best bulk bases in the game til Wolf/Ymir. Very much welcomed on H4.
I can attest to Darros' base bulk. In my H2 0% run he could survive multiple wyverns with +2 defense in ch. 13 as a SM.
Darros didn't just become sail, he became an entire fucking galleon.
I just started playing the second chapter of Trails in the Sky and it's so charming to hear this background music..
My favourite class is the Berserker since they are always a blast to train and use for me.
FE12 Darros in C tier is a travesty. Otherwise arrrrright tier list I guess

What about making a tier list of all the stats that have appeared in the series? I know you talk about them a lot but might be fun to rank all of them to give everyone a better understanding of why and which stats are important.

I wanna listen to what you have to say Mekkkah but you've got the banger of the Trails in the Sky OST playing in the background and I just have to say kudos to you for at least appreciating how good the music is in that game. My only question is why Charlotte and Arthur were omitted but I saw your comment. Otherwise I enjoy these tier lists

Honestly though: I'd be more likely to use Largo if he joined as a low level pirate/brigand just for the fun of it.
Because even with increased enemy growths FE9 hard by that point just gets wrecked by the units I've trained up and there'd be room to train a new one.
These lists have not only got me into your channel, but also back into fire emblem, can't wait for the Lords list!

It was so amazing in Bopper's iron man when Marty clapped Callion. I unironically like Marty's shell and think he gets memed on a little to hard just because he has 0s in some stats to start. I would put him in C+

No, he's canonically a Hero. We know this because if you promote him to trainee and promote him again the 2 options are super trainee and Hero.

Just wanna give credit real quick to Lloyd from fates. He’s super fast and fun to use. With a killer axe he has a 60% city rate and hits twice sooooooo he does a ton of damage

@@papersonic9941 he's also the first enemy in the first Arena of FE4 so he has quite the storied resume of being a pain, weakling and amazing unit.

As I've played FE9 more and more, my opinion on Largo has changed a lot. I used him a lot in my first playthrough when the game came out and he was part of my endgame team at least 3 or 4 times across my dozen or so full playthroughs. He definitely gets worse the higher the difficulty, and without at least a little bit of babying or maybe a dracoshield/ bexp to start, he's almost unusable on maniac. He is a very solid pre-promote among the several mid-late game pre-promotes the game gives you, but it really just depends on how solid your team you trained up, are at that point. I'd say he's very comparable to the other good late pre-promotes you get like Tanith, Haar, and Geoffrey, but unfortunately those units all have flying or FE9 Canto in addition to their combat prowess and Largo doesn't have those advantages.
All in all, I actually have a tough time placing him despite how much I've used him. My gut reaction is he probably belongs a little bit higher, but not an entire tier since he requires little to no investment to be useful as long as you play smart and don't get him killed throwing him in the middle of the frontlines alone. Probably just above or below Dart, depending how much you wanna penalize Dart for the cost of his promo item.
I don't know if it would make a good tier list, but a video going over which Arran/Samson is more viable could be interesting(Even though the usual answer is probably use neither)
I like this idea! You have a wide variety of unit classes to discuss across many games. Although there are quite a few exclusives that are pretty good/at least decent like Harken and Echidna for instance

@@alejandro_rodriguez_99 Saias has better Staff rank and three leadership stars, it’s actually a closer decision than you think.
Like yeah Ced is broken, but you almost never actually need ANOTHER broken combat unit at this point in the game… meanwhile Saias brings something unique by buffing your entire team by 9% hit/avoid and being able to use any staff in the game for utility.

I wonder how exactly waterwalking looks when crossing the ocean. Do the pirates swim? Do they row in a small boat? Do their legs just grow so they can continue to walk? Are all bodies of water just really shallow in Fire Emblem? Or is there some random explanation in a game, like how mages move alright in sand since they use magic to clear the sand away. Even more curious for the pirates is thinking about pirate combat in water.

Since there isn't much difference between bandits and pirates otherwise, my headcanon is that they have some water elemental powers and use those to keep themselves from sinking in water.

I'm sad to not see Arthur from FE Fates on this list. He's not very good, but he's the perfect embodiment of the Berserker.
Naturally, he's got the boosted crit from the berserker class, but also, all enemies within 2 squares of him get -15 crit avoid (he also gets -5, which basically brings him to 0 due to his crazy low luck.)
This, combined with him as a support attacker, basically makes his allies act as berserkers also. And to take advantage of the support attack, characters need to forgo their support defense options, truly embodying the archetype.
Pretty sure Artur is on the Fighter list.
Berserkers also have a passive negative 5 crit avoid in Fates, so Berserker Arthur is particularly crit-susceptible. He basically needs to be around his son Percy if you want him to actually be able to take hits and not face crit. Bronze axes can help too, but using a Bronze axe with a Berserker always feels so lame, since they can't crit. Even with Charlotte you have to be somewhat careful about enemy crit rates -- I've never done it, but I imagine making Percy a Berserker would probably be fun for that reason, because his crit avoid is actually good enough you don't have to worry about that at all.
But yeah, Berserker dual strikes are fun.
Remember that the Darros above the other two Darroses is the New Mystery version of him, the best one so far

Mekkah: How about a Backstabber Tier List? That is, Blue Units you get to control who will turn on you later in the game for reasons other than a perspective shift. So not Micaiah or (most) of the students in FE3H, but definitely Jill and Zihark and Black Knight. And Marty. Who is the OG of Backstabbers.

I feel that berserkers are more like generals than swordmasters, which are who they are normally compared to. They are great to park on a peak and just leave there to murder flyers, but if you really need to get them around they struggle alot.

Imo, Hawkeye should be S tier for being your best combat unit unit Harken (and I'm including Pent in that)
And if Ross were here, I think B tier for having decent combat utility, but also being your ony water walker until Dozla

Liquid isn't that impressive normally, but for some reason, he has Lethality, and literally nothing in the game is immune to that, not even the final boss. He's not good, but between that and his goofy portrait, he's got plenty of meme value.

Vaike is a fighter which promotes to warrior or hero in fe13. He can reclass to barbarian/berserker with a second seal though.
I basically always make him a berserker, but it requires reclass. Fighter in awakening follows the fe8 hero/warrior path

If she was on the tier list she would probably land in C or D tier. Conquest tends to punish characters with low bulk so its hard to utilize her correctly. (Unless she acts as a stat backpack for Xander, of course.)

The problem with Berserkers in Conquest is that they directly compete with the best axe-wielding class in the game while offering little in exchange, and even a few drawbacks such as the lower bulk and crit evade penalty. It also doesn't help Gazak is capturable and super strong already with no investment.
If not using as a pair up bot, Charlotte's best class is Wyvern Lord, and it's the same deal with Arthur.

Largo is useful when you're not using mounts/no bexp.
Otherwise you are better off with most other units, Largo doesn't have mounted movement, he's doesn't have the effectiveness against Laguz and general advantage of attacking res like your mages, he doesn't have the availability of Boyd, and his supports are connected to mostly bad characters-mediocre characters.
Hes fun to use, but in the practical sense you get just have Jill enemy phase a thousand times better than Largo because she's able to get into more combat, and she's likely to have stats above Largos because of her competent growths and massive availability advantage.
Hes like C tier because of that.
He still has serviceable combat though.
I'm going to assume the next tier list will be for thieves and assassins. In fact, I think those classes are the last to go before the lords. You better be ready for Cath fanboys reacting to the (expected) bad rating, ehehe

Anyway, Berserker is probably my second favorite class after Heroes, I don't know why, but every time I get a Brigand, Pirate or prepromoted Berserker, I just have that great urge to go wild with them even though some of them are rather underwhelming.

@@bob99_9 He did a Navarre tier list which should cover most swordmasters. I think most paladins were covered between the jagen and christmas cav tier lists.
@@frigidowl6492 most of the Navarres are myrmidons but their are other Swordmasters who weren't included like Karel, Say'ri or Catherine because they don't fit the Navarre archetype due to there recruitment time or the fact that they are not recruited as enemy units

Honestly. The Pirate's class promotes. Should instead become Viking class.
Clothing for Vikings: They have pants with some armor on them. optional plate-kilt, over the pants for upper leg protection and covering the knees.. They wore a first-mate Jacket that covers the arms, but the chest is still exposed. The jacked is also plated with arm-guards, and shoulder-guards. And wear a Viking helmet.)
They will STILL only use axes as their choice. But their stats will be different from a Berserker.

Skill: 27-28
Speed: 27-29
Luck: 30 (All classes can cap at 30 luck so..)
Def: 26-27
Resistance: 20
(The str, skill, and speed. Well it depends if you want them Balanced, or more inclined for speedy fighters..)
If speedy: then 26 strength, with 28 skill, 29 speed, and 26 defense.
Else If balanced: Then 27 strength, 27 skill, 27 speed, and 27 defense.
Have plus 5 to Crit.
They can swim, so they can move two spaces in water-based areas. But to offset this. They can't climb mountains like berserkers. Something to make them Decent and good. But not OP, and they still are vulnerable to mages.

I'm so disappointed by the disrespect shown towards Ross. If it's a berserker tier list, berserker Ross has to be there. He can be a berserker, so he should be tiered among them, because people do promote him to berserker quite often, it being the best possible class for him and all

Geese and Gonzales Same Tier
Gonzy is quite a bit better. Geese' only advantage is higher skill and a better starting weapon rank, and his Con is too low to use his Brave Axe anyway with his 9 speed.
Gonzy is actually faster than him even WITHOUT his hard mode bonuses, as he has the same base speed but much higher Con, and thus nearly always has better AS. He also has a 10% higher growth if I recall, and a huge advantage in HP and Strength, along with more levels to grow. His poor hit is made much better when he promotes, which you can opt to do immediately on B route (removing another one of Geese distinctions, namely that he can instantly promote). And then on top of all of this, Gonzy gets hard mode bonuses. He's a full tier better for sure.
Geese, however, does have far better hair, which may be worth some bonus points.
@@Ultinarok47 Gonzales and Garrett can (deservedly) NTR Noodle Boy Roy and Geese can't, so he deserves to be a lower tier than both of them.
Geese is underrated mainly because of his weapon rank

You forgot about Dart having Fire affinity, which just so happens to give all the stats he cares about (Hit/Crit/Attack/Avoid). And he can support with Rebecca for double Fire bonuses.
Dart's an absolute beast. Hawkeye ain't shit.
yeah but then u also have to use rebecca..
I mean the problem with that is A. Rebecca's a bad unit and generally not worth deploying just so she can support Dart, and B. supports are so slow in GBA FE that building them at all in any even semi-efficient playthrough probably isn't happening outside of maybe really fast ones like Lyn/Florina and Eliwood/Hector
@@lazykatie42069 Building supports in FE7 isn't as much of a mind-numbing slog as it is in FE6. The problem with Dart supports is that three of his support partners suck eggs (Karel, Wil, Rebecca), one of them requires training up scrubs to the point where most people won't get him (Geitz), and the fifth one comes late in the game and regardless is usually off on her own ganking people others can't get to (Farina).
Not only is Ross not in S tier, he's not included at all in this talk. Tier List instantly invalid.
Lol Ross needs to be trained. Even when he comes in early game, he is not worth to train because you can save those exp for others characters. Also if you really need an axe user, Garcia always there.
If i would rate him, D tier. He may worth to train in casual game because he can be trained in tower but in ranked run all 3 trainees is worthless.
