Those are great entry-level guitars! The HSS option is one of the coolest things Fender has ever done for beginners. You get the option of experimenting with the no fuss rock tone with the humbucker in the bridge position and the ever so sweet sound of the single coils in the mid and neck position (I like the 2nd and 4th position best). Adding a little class with the Arctic White is nice too. I would recommend a set-up to make sure it plays right for you. -Craig Hyatt

I"m not sure if someone already mentioned it, but I think it was the Telecaster that "started it all", but I agree that the Stratocaster was probably the more impactful of the two models
    Lovely video
    Have a nice day!

The Telecaster when first released was named the Broadcaster. Copyright issues with, Grestch I think, released a range of drums with that name, meant a name change at Fender to Telecaster.

This is really helpful for beginning guitar. The show did leave out hollowbody and semi-hollow bodies like Gretsch, Guild and Rickenbacker. That would have made for a longer show, but would have covered more about tonal characteristics.
That said I own a tele and strat...lol.

i played an orange/red flame colored one in the $630 range and it blew me out of the water. you have to go play one. it played better than one of my thousand dollar guitars, only coming up short to my ernie ball. some of them are fabulous, just gotta find them

Agree, man, totally. And for comparison, its much easier for a beginner with just a little money to buy a used Japanese/Korean guitar from let's say '90, than to scope a Strat, not to mention Gibson for the same price. I did that with my first guitar and I was and still am delighted. Cheers to you, guitarheads ;)

Great video , really explains each and every guitar and it's features.
Though I kinda disagree with the part when you said that eventually you're gonna have a Strat AND a Les Paul , some people don't like Strats , some don't like Les Pauls , some don't like both , it's just a matter of choice.

    Hi Blaze,
Buying a guitar online isn't necessarily a bad thing, but we do encourage you to try before you buy, which is no small feat when purchasing online. Guitars are all different. Even when comparing two of the same model guitars made from the same tree, on the same day, by the same builders, there are differences that make each one unique. We can't comment on the quality of Gimm guitars as we've never heard of them before. For more information, give us a call: 408.377.5864.

probably should have plugged into a better amp with more distortion when you were showcasing the Dime bag and Jackson series

To people wanting to buy a guitar:
You dont need most expensive, but at the same time it will be a waste of money if you go for the cheapest. When i was a kid i got a very poor electric guitar, and to be honest i kinda blame it on the guitar that i lost interest
Many years later i decided to get a guitar again. I spent about 500$ on a Cort electric western guitar and the feel of quality is what brought the fun of playing back
Remember music is fun, so you want to have some decent toys :)

Not to mention Peter Frampton used a Les Paul. Tho he started with a Strat cuz he thought Gibson's were too heavy. Look at his LP he just got back from the plane crash in the late 70's. Talk about a surviving beat up guitar. I too have a LP but its an Epiphone with Grover tuners.

I clicked on this link to find out about buying an electric guitar. I didn't know it was a 28 minute advert for American-made products. I mean, mention where the things are made, sure, but I don't need it rammed down by throat every 30 seconds.
All in all, not much real technical information or tips.

Yes, I can't think of anything in the world better for a child to learn on is an electric guitar with a 120 watt amp.!!!! Should make Mom's afternoon naps a real challenge... he he....ARE YOU CRAZY? Give a 10 year old an electric guitar and amp? I can just see these kids roaring music out that amp....more likely...rattle and sheer noise. Now, lets throw in the fact that at 10 a kids jumps out of the tub or the shower grabs his new toy and WOW...now they light up the entire HOUSE AS WELL....

forgot....A FULL DRUM SET AND PA SYSTEM WITH IT.yeah give that 10 year old a full drum set and let them slam those drums ALL NIGHT LONG along with those Cymbals I hope that your grandkids get a set and bring them over to YOUR HOME. Of Course you start out with an acoustic. History proves itself and saves the parent money when the kid turns out to HATE it! BUT, you sold an idiot a setup and it gathers DUST. Why not buy a $5000 Lester while your at it for the kid to smash? Its only MONEY.
