We Just hit 100 subs!!!! Thanks so much guys, I'm genuinely so excited to make more videos. As a thank you, I'll let you in on the next video, which is going to be about - simplification - this is something that helped me massively with on my art journey and keeps helping me to this day, so I'm hoping my video explaining how I do it can help you too!!! ❤ Thanks again for the subs and keep up the good artwork, you guys are the best.
kinda unrelated, but something that i discovered myself is that it really helps me to draw 2 circles for the shoulders and connect them to create a cylinder. by breaking it down to something so simple, i realized that you can draw a straight line between the shoulders at no matter what. once you have the position of this shape down, its easy to add the neck
That's absolutely brilliant, what a smart simplification technique. Funnily enough I'm editing a video about simplification at the moment, it's so interesting finding clever ways to simplify the body's structure making it easier to draw. Keep up the good work Feb !!!
Out of all the channels with hundreds of thousands of subs and hundreds of thousands of views, this is easily the best video I have seen on this topic, especially the tips with the hair
Thanks Astrangeperson, glad you found my video useful, in around 2 weeks my next video will be out and it’s about drawing hair, I’ll try explaining things in as easy way possible like I did with this video, Thanks again for the nice comment ❤️
Holy crap the eye line arching tip seems huge. I spend like 10 minutes normally just for that annoying arch on weird angles but now hopefully this tip will help me.
You, you are so freakin talented, this channel has the potential to become sum big my guy, keep doing these high quality videos, i know its frustating when you make top tier content and youtube algorithm doesnt really help, but these videos youve uploaded are so well done, i'd really like to be as talented as you at drawing, you draw like, idk, with 0 hesitation. Btw i really like the way that your channel is focused on moe, i mean im like focused on drawing hot guys and that stuff rn, but i wanted to learn how to properly draw these cute characters, thanks.
Thanks so much for the nice comment Koishisen, it’s super appreciated. I’m glad you’re enjoying my content, hearing this motivates me so much, to make more videos, so thanks again!!!
I think I found my favourite tutorial TH-camr artist. Your videos are so high effort and I really love your artstyle!! I started learning anime art 3 months ago and im looking foward to more of your tutorials. I am able to draw the anime face at any angle that is visible but I struggle with drawing the entire head at any angle. I am currently drawing geometric shapes at different angles to understand 3d shapes so I can draw the entire head at any angles much easier but im struggling with it. Also where can I share my artworks that you talked about?
Thanks so much for the nice comment @iamunbornbutterfly you made my day. I'm happy you found the video useful and keep up the good work, faces are one of the hardest things to draw, so you got this!! Also if you would like to share your art I'd love to see it, feel free to leave a link here or on the discord server if you like. I'll add the Discord server link to the description of the video. Thanks again for the comment and have fun drawing !!!
I will do soon hopefully yes! Have a couple of other video ideas that should help with anatomy that I'm editing at the moment as well,. But I would like to do a dedicated video indeed. Thanks for the comment and have fun drawing!!!
Awesome video! Super useful! I always struggle with drawing anime heads in the correct angle and perspective, so this was really helpful! I especially liked seeing your drawing process from start to finish, the coloring process was also helpful to see. 👍😃
@@CalebArty Thank you, I will try my best. I wanted to ask you something, I'm learning to draw heads with the right facial proportions and I see artists always draw a circle and put down some guidelines, but everyone does it a little bit differently. I know about the Loomis method but I think that's more for realistic human proportions, not anime? How do you make your guidelines when drawing anime characters?
I have my own little method like I show in the video, using guid lines rally helps me out when drawing anime girls. Without them I struggle to place the eyes in the correct place and things like that. Keep up the great art, you got this! ❤️
@@CalebArty Thanks, I appreciate the encouragement. Also, I wanted to know how did you draw those highlights on the girl's hair in the final drawing? Is that like a special brush or something? Is it done on a regular layer or is a different blend mode used? What color is best for highlights? Sorry for so many questions, I'm still relatively new to digital art. 😅
This is so good! What I think happens is we try to complicate things that are simple, and then we end up not even having fun in our drawings anymore. Thanks for the great video!
ahhh you make it look so easy, my forward facing faces are decent but the angles are still a bit iffy, great video though and I was surprised when I saw you only were at 460 subs. great production quality!
Your content is really great! We can't leave art in the comments, YT is blocking all links 🙂 I think the hard part with art is being able to see... Like you've drawn something but just can't see that the proportions are off. But this gets better with experience.
Exactly i agree, that’s why I really think using guidelines on the head to figure out where to put the eyes and mouth and everything else really helps, at least for me, Thanks for commenting and if you would like to share your art join my discord, I’ll love to see you draw!! ❤️
Thanks for the interest! I don't use Discord at the moment, I mainly hang out at Krita Artists forum because that's the software I use. Maybe one day.. 😊
My tip for beginners is to study the skull. You don’t really need to draw it, but understanding where and how parts of the face work helped me so damn much!
@@staepler Yes I do. But, It’s important to know what those guidelines represent. If you’re drawing a body for example, you should study how it works so the guidelines make sense.
Loving your videos! I think ear placement is a huge aspect of portraying the angle of a skull. Sometimes overlooked, but remembering that ear shape can act as a landmark for everything else is great.
Question. I also draw a line indicating the position of the eyes the same as you (1/3 or 1/4 down the original circle). But for me that line tells me where to put the MIDDLE of the eyes. In this video they tell you where the EYEBROWS are. Because I also want to draw some cute anime girls like Taiga, should I change my method to yours? Or do I need to simply make the chin smaller? What are your thoughts.
Honestly man, the greatest thing about art is how diverse it is, and how people have their own art styles. If that's how you've always done it and it feels right for you, there's no reason to change it imo.
I really appreciated your shading tip to use bluish color for shadows. Btw can i generally use blue for shading every parts of body? Also how can i draw bodies better? Total beginner.
My best advice for drawing bodies is to simplify them so there easier to draw, always simplify your work, it makes it way easier, wether it’s colour or the body. Good luck with your art and keep it up!!
great job my guy , i am new to illustration and i am tryna learn it and i use it pen tablet , the problem i face mainly is making non jiterry lines and having clean strokes , i have the basic idea of how to draw faces and body buti always mess up my line works so it would be awesome if u can guide me
If you just starting off don't worry about it too much about wobbly Lines as that stuff tends to get better with confidence, just have fun drawing. That said there are some things you can do if you don't like jiterry lines, one of them being using a fairly large brush for your sketches, which is what I personally do and another one being practicing drawing lines on paper, which isn't as fun but it does help. Hope this helps and have lots of fun drawing 👍
hey man watching this video is really making me confident also i want to try drawing on pc , whats a good drawing app you would recommend for beginner, much love.
Ooo I definitely recommend drawing on pc, it’s worth the investment in a cheep drawing tablet too, i recommend Huion, there cheep and really good, as for softwares a go I don’t know of any free ones I used to use autodesk paint but unfortunately that doesn’t exist anymore so give clip studio paint a go, I used it for a year and it’s brilliant, for beginner and pros, definitely one of my favourite drawing software, you can try it for free and then get a one time purchase if you like it! Hope this helps and good luck with your art !! ❤️
nice video, but the thumbnail is misleading and makes this look like a coloring tutorial since both drawings in the thumbnail have similar structure and the main difference is one is colored.
Ooo yeah I didn’t think about it like that, I tried using a similar drawing from my past so the difference in the structure was easier to see, but without colour it does make it look that way, thanks for letting me know, it’s always nice to get a extra option!! 👍
@@JoseRodriguez-uo1ri I did but it would be better if both drawings were colored in the same way, so it is easier to see the improvement these techniques make.
