Thanks for the tip about running a couple of loads through to loosen the impeller. I was having issues with it. That solved it. BTW, I used a 7/16" socket.
If anyone's still looking I used a 716th to remove that bolt in the middle. pulled the tub up-and-down a few times like it was shown and then I got a vice grip and just grabbed the little tiny side of that metal center thing and Dang I pulled it right up
Very Helpful! Would/could this answer why we have to do a second spin sometimes because it not draining fast enough. I have checked drain hose for restrictions.
I definitely have a stuck impeller...I've tried every trick from every video on TH-cam with no luck. Yesterday I just left the bolt out like you recommended, 5 loads later, still won't budge. I figure someday when I least expect it, it will come off on its own.
I just left mine in place...I think if you are hellbent on getting it off you need to buy a new one, and break the old one apart to remove.@@lareyna1016
Great video,so,in what direction should the arrow in tub be pointing, in my case I replaced the plastic hub which was worn out,I didn't notice the arrow in the wash basket prior to removing it,by the way we also recovered about $2.00 in coins from the drain ports lol.
Hi, hope you are doing well. I am Joseph from Puerto Rico and I am wondering if you have a video on this Kenmore 700S washer about factory reset and why the steam treat is not working. If you have a video on that please share it since I am subscribed to your channel I should be receiving the alert. Thanks!

How to get the bolt off??? My drill is making the drum turn...how do you keep it from turning? I'm using an 18v drill...do I need a 20 volt drill? no way I can take this off by hand...
I left my bolt out for months did loads. Just finally took the time and had to fill it with a small amount of water to get the cent to float and move around and pry it up with a nice on 2 sides
Edit: for those that said the socket is spinning mine was a 10 mm ....kenmore elite... First time I've ever seen anything that uses 11 mm. Every 11 mil I have is in pristine condition🤣 Thanks for the video.

Yes this will do it
Which way do you turn the ball counterclockwise or clockwise
Is it possible to take the spin basket out?

Best way is to just wash with hot water and let it come loose when is ready. Sad sometimes it take a bit

You should have the arrow on the tub pointing up right corner if is like mine.
Can anyone tell me where the filter is on this model?
Thanks anyways for your time

That is a great idea.
Should I connected and turn it on mabey it will not move I guess
We don’t have an impact and may not be able to buy one- any suggestions on what to use instead? 😭
Hit it with a rubber hammer if you can and that some times work. Or put a piece of wood to pry it tight and than turn it loose
@@sharkhogswild9935 Omg thank you so much for the quick reply! I will try that!
@@MayuKira let me know if it works
So if it doesn’t come out after taking the drill out, you start a wash and try again?
Yes hot water
Hey Sharks, do you prefer an agitator or Impeller as depicted here?
Agitator 100%

Impact is the best not a drill. And hold it.

DeWalt with a 1/4 drive

Did you try an impact? Or drill ?
Bro thanks for replying
Yea with the drill
It should not spin.
Yes but everything inside keeps spinning . I even disconnected it
I do the laundry at my house and the rule is any cash in the washer is mine!! So check your pockets🤣
I can’t get the bolt out. It’s stuck in there. What now?
Are you turning the correct way ?
If the impeller doesn't come off, run 1 or 2 loads of clothes on it and it will come loose?
Yes. Hot water
