Hello my Kenmore elite 796 the cl went on and I could not get it off. I did press control lock for few second and still on.

Dang wish i saw this prior to my purchase. I bought a grey one for $200 after 5 washes Its been great!! But after figuring out what that panel was for. I opened it it up and it was just PACKED wIth BS!!! ibe s9nce cleaned it out and looked for other free cheap easy ways to prolong of the life of new used purchase! Thanks!

Our drain hose next to the filter is clogged. We tapped it on the ground and black stuff comes out. How do we replace that hose?

Can a dirty or clogged filters cause the washer to leak?
Several years ago, my then seven-year-old Kenmore was giving me an incomprehensible "error warning." I checked my user guide --no luck. Went to TH-cam. Behind the screwed-on, difficult-to-access base panel was a freakin' "technician's manual"!!! And, of course, the filter, that desperately needed cleaning. Old bats like me do NOT need to be scrabbling around on the floor with an extended socket to remove a panel that SHOULD have been anchored by rubber nipples and washers! And old bats like me do NOT need to be spending a couple hundred bucks for a repairman for what SHOULD be routine, owner-performed maintenance! Geez Louise, was I angry!

I followed the directions, all went well but I had lots of water on the floor after my first load, unfortunately wasn’t home to turn it off. Only thing I can think of was I tugged in the house a couple of times to see if it would come out further but didn’t feel any loosening or anything. Help!
Were you able to fix the leak? One thing to check would be to ensure that the filter and filter gasket are tightly secured. Also check to see that the plug is firmly placed in the end of the hose. Hopefully this helps! Thank you for watching!
So we cleaned our filter couple days ago and today wanted to wash cloths and now my machine won’t fill with water what’s up with that I have power to machine but it won’t fill up with water.Please help
Did you have any luck with getting it up and running again?
What shoud you do if the water doesn't drain from the drain hose?
You could slowly remove the filter cap but be ready if there is a flood of water. Hopefully this helps!
I need to spin only on kenmore elite washer.
Hi! My Kenmore front loader does not have any visible place where the drain filter would be. It also does not have a separate panel beneath the drum (I've seen some that have the panel which can be removed). So WTH is it?? 😳
I wish I had a better answer for you but I’m not familiar with that model.
It’s underneath the machine and not accessible.

My drain pipe didn’t have water come out of it but when I loosened the filter water got everywhere. Anyone know why??
The same thing happened with the tube. Though I didn’t open the filter because I was scared water would get everywhere. Lol I think there’s something stuck in the tube …

For a couple years been struggling to figure out why my clothes come out looking dirtier then I put them in with lint all over ?? I use the clean cycle and clean it out manually but nothing helps!?!

Mine doesn't have that little door.
You may have a filter that is located within the drum of the washing machine.
@5MinuteFixit within the drum? Do I access that from the rear of the machine? I saw something showing the bottom on the front might need to be removed. I haven't checked on that yet. I've had this macgine for a while. I'm sure if there is a filter somwhere, it definitely needs cleaned.
It makes me furious that these companies legally sell garbage that breaks within a year. You never have these ridiculous problems with older models.
