Every time I listen to Church of the Cosmic Skull it takes me back to my childhood bedroom in the 70's laying on my bed with my big old headphones plugged into my eight track player stoned starring at my King Crimson and Blue Oyster Cult posters... Bothers and Sisters we are in the presence of an other worldly master of sonic vibrations. Praise be unto the Church of the Cosmic Skull for taking us on a journey into forever.
I am a huge prog fan.... this band is nothing remotely like King Crimson or Yes. Honestly it sounds like something they came up with using garageband one day imo.

This is brilliant on so many levels. On watching the video closely, it is clear that Brother Bill's eyes change to the eyes of various cult leaders throughout the video. I believe that I count a dozen different switches and so far I think I have identified Charles Manson, David Koresh, Rajneesh/Osho, Marshall Applewhite, Sergei Torop/Vissarion, and most obviously at the end Jim Jones. Anyone else notice any of this?

This is the first time ever that I am excited for Friday the 13, the single is cool but listening to the Churches albums front to back is the best way to enjoy them. Thanks Church 🙂

I got an "Altered States" vibe with the black and red. Given they've used the seven eyed goat's head in the past, "Altered States" may have an influence. ;-)

Ghost sucks live these days and now plays arenas. I’d rather see these guys in a smallish theater, either headlining or in support of maybe Blood Ceremony or Lucifer.

I still remember when I first heard the Church. It was a really sad day for me, and then I saw that recommendation.
Clicking on that video was one of the best things I ever did.
I still remember the feeling I had when I heard my first song from the Chruch, Evil in your Eye, that feeling of fulfillment, of happiness (not sure if that would be the correct word, but the Church of the Cosmic Skull is one of the things that kept me going through the hard times when my grandpa died), a sensation of hope, a feeling of grandiosity coming from them.
Years later, every new song that comes out, these feelings never change.
That is why, whenever someone asks me what is the best band alive, I'll always say: "Church of the Cosmic Skull"
To finish my comment I'd just like to say a big "Thank You", thank you for helping me through my hard times, thank you for making this art that we can appreciate, this art that we can rely on, thank you for being what you are.
