My Dad, a WWII Vet told me "Heroes are ordinary men in Extraordinary circumstances." There is a lot of truth in that sentence.
And your dad was one of those men.
Dead on , my grandpa was a ww2 Bataan death march survivor, my dad said he almost never talked about it, heros aren't loud mouths they are doers
Literally, like cus damto said it's what the hero does is what separates him
you are a hero as well! you probably dont know. I think you are as well. I am from Germany, my ancestorys died for nothing, yours for freedom. Thats what i am practicing. Help and doing good to others. Not just for one . like for everybody, witch is kicking my mind a little, i am sufferin Epilespia for live now. And? i guess i`m doing well

My son and I was supposed to spend the summer learning this song. He was a drummer and I was a on guitar. My 12 year old son Tristan Van Lu passed away on 3/22/23. He was the best drummer I have ever met, he was my hero. I rocked this song out at his funeral, it was the last time I will ever touch a guitar again. Played until my fingers bled my boy!. I love you so much my son, my best friend I will never forget you and will never stop missing you my son....

This song was played at my friend’s funeral. I only knew him for about 5 months. We met at uni. He passed and his family invited all the uni friends he had. For some reason I got really emotional though I barely knew him… this song will now forever remind me of the amazing person he was, an extremely bitter sweet end.

I like how you never see his face. The real heroes are the good people everyday who go unnoticed doing heroic things. The real heroes are the people you don’t even know are heroes

"There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes..."
That line. I will never listen to that line the same ever again. The lose of Taylor Hawkins, the drummer and the beating heart of Foo Fighters, was truly tragic. No matter how good of a replacement they may find, you'll never really be replaced.
He was an ordinary man to some, but a true hero to most. Rest in peace, keep on rockin' Taylor.
Hawkins didn't even play drums on this song, grohl did. I absolutely agree he was a crucial component of Foo fighters for as long as he's been part and dave might not even try to replace him, he might just quit music as he said Kurt's death almost made him do. But Foo fighters succeeded before Hawkins, it's not like John Bonham where his death absolutely caused the cessation of the band because he was a key component of the bands success from its inception.
@@hihi2667 He wasn’t there at the start but he became a key component.
Dave grohl is the FOO FIGHTERS. He invented them and all the music first inception. But he found Taylor by the second album and HIS drumming became the sound we know as the FOOEYS. Heather Dobrin I lost my dad when I was 14. I’m 26 now. It’s still al incredibly hard... I miss him with my whole being. This song makes me think of him.
Thank you, everyone. Your comments mean a lot.
For my beautiful brother, love you ❤❤❤
This played at my cousins funeral who died saving me and my cousin in 2009.

Elias Clark My Condolences. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Elias Clark why did you wait 2 years for a funeral but if this is true rip
Elias Clark nvm I’m a dumbass I believe you 100% this is the first time I’ve even heard this song so I didn’t know it came out in the 90s
Pirate jack wow...
Your cousin had a good taste in music. 🙏
There's a reason Dave Grohl is still kickin after all these years. Look at his face when he sings! The man is PASSIONATE about music!
suruha2306 the man is an absolute legend 🤘👌
He plays it safe by releasing yhe same record over and over. He will always be known to me as the drummer from nirvana. Not the too fighters
suruha2306 absolutely right man!
Temple Slug - millions would disagree. understandably your view is tainted by the obvious fact you love Nirvana. no need to criticise Dave for his success because you don't like him.

I’ve discovered this band only two weeks ago, this song is probably my favourite one, also recently discovered about Taylor Hawkins’s death. So sad I never got to listen to Foo Fighters when he was alive. R.I.P
My sister just passed and this was played at her funeral.

This is dedicated to a 15 years old boy from my country Greece, Telemachos, who sacrificed his live to save his siblings from fire.
Is it in Athens
Rest in piece little hero
Heroic act. R.I.P.
😢
Isn't Telemakhos also Odysseus's son in the Odyssey?
I'm proud of you dad, words that should have come out while he was still around.
Honestly, one of my favorite songs from Foo Fighters
Of course. This and everlong are the only ones I like but are 10/10 songs.
I'm glad they decided to make the dogs identity safe
Me too
uncanny indeed
Someone might try to take his credit card
nirvana showed a baby cock on an album and these guys hid the identity of a dog
