When in Rome... 4 days, walking through the streets of Rome!

Trenitalia Rail from Florence to Roma Termini, Thanks to Costco Travel, who set it all up! Stayed at the Mercure Roma Centro Colosseio with a perfect view of the Colosseum!! Visited the Forum, Palatine Hill (Palatino) , Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon (Piazza della Rotonda), Piazza della Madonna di Loreto, Vatican City, Fontane di Piazza San Pietro, Sistine Chapel (Musei Vaticani) and toured the Vatican museums. Ate at I Clementini which deserves 4 thumbs up! Rented bikes from Bike & Baci, then road on the Appian Way, Via Appia Antica then bought souvenirs (olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc.) at Salsamenteria, played at Parco del Colle Oppio, (Appio Latino). Also visited Piazza Navona, where we hid from the hail! We also checked out places like; Parione, Villa di Massenzio, Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, Piazza di San Marco, Are Coeli Church, Giardini del Gianicolo, Altar of the Fatherland, Conad grocery store, Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore, before departing through Fiumicino Aeroporto Leonardo Da Vinci! Italy vacation was my favorite vacation ever!!

I love to travel...and save money but splurge at the same time. The food category is like that for. I eat breakfast at the hotel...but one morning i would splurge and have a nice breakfast. Lunch is always from a local market...a quick picnic ..usualky local fresh bread meat and or salad. My spurge is always i love a great dinner. It can be anything a warm evening outside at a cafe...or a nice sit down 4 or 5 course. Thats my treat to me on trips...and since i save on those breakfast and lunches..i have that extra out of my budget to splurge on those dinners.

My wife and I will be there in September 2023. We through the coins at the trevie fountain 2 years ago, it’s true if you do this you will be back.
