Hi Malini, my favourite suburb to eat in Rome, is in Largo di Torre Argentina (Piazza Argentina). Outside of peak season, I would never see to many western tourists in the evening. The Piazza would be filled with Roman families enjoying Italian food. Some say France is the country of great food, for me Italy wins hands down. Rome is amazing, Italia is amazing, especially, the simply stunning, Positano and the Amalfi coast. Thank you for reminding me of the great times to be had in Bella Italia.
this vlog was insane, Malini. you presented Rome so genuinly (saying it as someone who is going to go in two months and has never been to Rome before). you just portrayed the perfect atmosphere and set the most amazing tone for my trip.
If you want to appreciate Rome as it was in the late 1950s (when life was much slower than it is nowadays), I suggest the movie "Three Coins in a Fountain", in gorgeous colour and starring great-looking movie stars, with Frank Sinatra singing the signature tune. When you hear him singing it in his inimitable voice, you'll be filled with nostalgia. "Three coins in a fountain, each one seeking happiness..."
Malini is just captivating with her cultural showcases, apt for speaking languages, interest in locals and people instead of just focusing on landscapes and her enchanting demeanor
I am so proud of you! This was everything! Made me want to go back to Rome and really reminded me of Anthony Bourdain and Eat Pray Love. Loved the interviews with locals too. Such a wonderful job! so so so proud

Life in Rome is completely the opposite of life in America. The Roman way of taking life, of enjoying life at any moment of the day, is something exemplary. > and i was really amazed with the structures i saw, The unmentioned factor is that everyone works hard. They had an unbelievable work ethic. The pioneer generation were given a good opportunity by an intelligent government, but they worked hard to improve themselves. Another unmentioned thing is the significant economic pressure on working families.
I had my my morning caffe and cornetto every morning when I stayed in Trastevere. The moment I saw S. Calisto it all came back to me. Especially around the corner at the Piazza di Santa Maria. Beautiful video! ❤
Great recommendations to enjoy the city by wandering its streets and eating good food. However, the "dolce vita" term originates from the famous 1960 Fellini movie of the same name. The theme of Fellini's movie was actually a critique of the vacuousness of the "sweet life" in Rome post WWII, which was built on the ruins of Italian poverty and initiated a meaningless era of mass consumerism. Exploring and learning about any culture in context of its history makes travel less about consumption and more meaningful.
Definitely one of the best food and travel shows with a brief on history. Great job Malini, you're presentation and content is bang on. I've watched all your episodes and look forward to the new ones 👌
Wowww, just woww. What a story, it's a whole movie put together. The department of tourism if there is anything like that should buy this piece. It's so beautifully put together. I am travelling to Rome for the World Food Forum next month and I intent to vlog the experience, Is it okay if we collaborated on my vlog. I would really appreciate it. This is a masterpiece and the narrations kept me hooked all through.
This is the best video i have ever seen here like Mary Beard videos on YT. You grab the true soul of Rome. I reccomend tourists to see the monuments and museums, but also to just hang around in the centre, in the morning if you wanted immerse yourself in the chaotic, crowded, noisy city or early in the morning or at night ig you wanted Rome touch your soul. Kudos from Rome ❤

Great video, once again. I am very glad to see that more and more people are watching your excellent videos and appreciate the good work that you've been doing for more than a year now. Your videos aren't boring at all it really makes us travel with you. Thank you so much for not picking lousy electro-music that so many vloggers use as background sound (probably because it is free). I also loved the way you put that video together with the old school cuts and that you let inhabitants talk and explain us their Rome with their own words, in their own language. Excelleny Idea. I had as much fun watching this video as watching the one about Napoli. Sei molto brava ;-) ... Keep up the good work !
This is just WoW! You presented everything in such an amazing and realistic way. I felt like I was a participant and can only dream I would someday be able to experience Rome in this way!
There is a reason why the amount of people of Italian origin living abroad greatly surpasses the population of the motherland. The entire country has some series problems like zero population growth and huge public debt. Can they be resolved? Only time will tell, in the meantime it remains a great place to visit, explore, and fantasize about!
I lived in Rome and shopped at "Field of Flowers" everyday. Do they still make the little sandwich buns called, "Rosetti"? Italian language is so clearly enunciated that it makes it the easiset language to learn.
Early May this year, we stayed just next door from Roscioli. They actually have there different shops very close to each other. Really loved to see those corners we walked every day, places we bought wine & bread, and lived slow life ❤❤❤

Love this video! Went to Rome for my first time last year and absolutely fell in love! Plan to go back next year and do the Roman thing. We aren't going to make plans at all and try to immerse ourselves in the culture. Thanks for this!
We have a layover in Rome airport at night time for 9 hours. Is it safe to travel Rome at night time ??? Please advise. Our flight is at morning 4 am from Rome
The end brought back so many wonderful memories of my nighttime strolls when I visited the city ❤
> and i was really amazed with the structures i saw, The unmentioned factor is that everyone works hard. They had an unbelievable work ethic. The pioneer generation were given a good opportunity by an intelligent government, but they worked hard to improve themselves. Another unmentioned thing is the significant economic pressure on working families.
Beautiful! Thank you for making this very authentic v-log. ❤
Hello from a fellow travel TH-cam creator :) Always look forward to your new videos!
I had my my morning caffe and cornetto every morning when I stayed in Trastevere. The moment I saw S. Calisto it all came back to me. Especially around the corner at the Piazza di Santa Maria. Beautiful video! ❤
Thanks for sharing! 🤍🤍
Thank you for taking me to Rome in a new and refreshing way! I am new to your channel and I absolutely loved this Vlog!! Graze!🙋♀️👏💟

Definitely one of the best food and travel shows with a brief on history. Great job Malini, you're presentation and content is bang on. I've watched all your episodes and look forward to the new ones 👌
malini, the way you describe Rome is charming, and makes the real feeling of Rome, 🍷🇮🇹❤ Thank you very much
Wowww, just woww.
How beautiful! Preparing to travel to Rome and this made me so excited thank you!
Kudos from Rome ❤
this is one of the best videos on rome i've ever seen
I saw a lot of videos about Rome, but not like your content in this one. Really a wonderful and useful addition. I was hoping to know the sites you visited so that I can visit them on my next trip to Rome.
i have never felt like this when watching a city. amazing job. LOVE ROMA
Thank you so much 😊
What a beautiful video! You captured Rome so well. I want to go visit even more now!
Brava! Finally a real Roman point of view of the city. Great job :)
Glad you think so!
This is such beautiful content - I studied anthropology in university and I feel like you are a real anthropologist, the way you capture the essence of the places, people and cultures! I'm so happy to have come across your channel!
Went to Rome a few years ago in July, and am guilty of doing the typical touristy things. Like you stated I need to just enjoy Rome or any major city really and just relax and enjoy it!! I really need to do more of that anywhere I visit. I do hope I get to go back to Rome and enjoy it more the second time around. Nicely done and said Angelica. Bravo😊!!
Your presentation in the program is wonderful ! Sei bella veramente !!!
This was so well done, I just loved the interviews with the locals! Thank you for this. We're heading to Rome this weekend :)
Caio bellá what a pic of art you have put in am from Mauritius. Am french. Art poem beauty
Çe la belle vie🍒☕and just to say. beautiful work like your beauty Caio bellá 🌷
Hello Malini - Your picnic scene made my mouth water with all the variety of Italian food/drink. I love how you show the authenticity of it all....I will be planning a visit soon....Ciao Bella
Thank you so much 🙂 enjoy it
Great video, once again.
Hey Malini i hope you are doing well i really enjoy after watching your videos thanks a lot sharing for this
Glad you like them!
Great video!
Thanks!
I really wish visiting the beautiful ancient city Rome one day, gracias miss Malini for sharing your experience exploring Rome..👍👍😘😘🙏
I lived in Rome and shopped at "Field of Flowers" everyday. Do they still make the little sandwich buns called, "Rosetti"? Italian language is so clearly enunciated that it makes it the easiset language to learn.
Any picture of Rome is more beautiful with you in it. Yes, maam.
All those carbs make me nervous.
One of the best videos i've seen about my lovely city!
12:55 True..is always like "yeah beautiful but, you know, i'm from Rome"
Ciao from Rome!
This was beautiful. As are all your videos, Malini
Best video about Rome by far
Early May this year, we stayed just next door from Roscioli. They actually have there different shops very close to each other. Really loved to see those corners we walked every day, places we bought wine & bread, and lived slow life ❤❤❤
