Rome! What a beautiful city. I hope someday soon we can travel to Italy again. I won't lie I had a bit of culture shock watching the footage from this trip and just looking at the crazy crowds. Crazy how times have changed!
Omg you're on the tour I'm taking Monday I will be doing the same thing your husband did. I will be taking pictures of everything. Thank you for posting.
I understand people want to see as much as possible but that are a sort of 3 "working days", anyway I hope you enjoyed it, ciao and sorry for my "eng". PS People in the Colosseum are archaeologists. 👍
Although not a fan of tiramisu, yours looked really good!! And the pics that you took in front of the coliseum were very nice! and sooo smart of you to buy those passes to skip the lines! I would turn around if i had to wait in that line! I went to Italy last year and this was one place i wanted to go that we didnt since my bf had already visited Rome and we wanted to have new adventures together. The ceiling in the chapel was so beautiful! I really like how you put this together! The voice over sounded very professional!
altar of the fatherland is important because the unknown soldier is buried under the statue of the king of Italy, while the king is buried in the pantheon with the other kings and queens
Such a cute video! You pair your jewelry accessories very nicely 😍 traveling to Rome in a few weeks had already decided to travel light and not bring extra jewelry but this video changed my mind hahaha 🤣
This made me want to revisit Rome! I mainly want to go back for the delicious food and gelato. But I went about 4 years ago and the skip the line tickets definitely came in clutch! Especially at the Vatican.
Girl that would have been crazy if we were in Rome the same time!! I love your vlog of it, it is truly so beautiful there! I honestly remember so much from your vlog, I miss it so much UGH!
I lived in Rome for a few months 2 years back! Watching this bought back so many memories! I always used to go to the Spanish Steps cos there is a Sephora there ahaha and I used to just walk around on my days off and explore! Definitely one of the most beautiful cities in the world
Thanks Miss (Mrs) Moore what a fabuloso view of the eternal city. I would love to visit but can’t see at my age attempting to circumnavigate the crowds on the endless tour. Although it might well be worth it to be able to pass out in the various eateries all mouth watering. Thank again. 🇮🇱
Miss Moore Style Thanks, love your encouragement but it’s not just age (which we won’t mention) but a troublesome lower back - very flat feet and lack of core is quite a handicap. So not to be too dark and negative we are off to Tel Aviv beachfront to take in the sea air on this beautiful May Day and take advantage with mask of this initial foray in lifting of the lockdown - you take care - stay safe. 🇮🇱
It’s easy to find but let me see if I can describe how to get there…if you’re facing the main gate/entrance where the line goes into the entrance, turn around and you’ll see a brick wall with a staircase that goes up. If you go up that staircase right at the top of it is where I took that pic! I hope that makes sense/helps!
Rome is truly captivating.😍 Everywhere you look is bursting with history and beauty. We visited the city during Spring as part of our DIY EUROTRIP vlog. The entire city is rich with art, sculpture and architecture. 🤩🤩🤩 Its like walking inside a huge museum. ❤️❤️❤️
"I have no idea what's happening right now. We're just eating." 😂😂 Literally me when I was visiting Rome. There's always excitement all around. I went to Rome for about 3 days too, and this video is bringing back all the feels! I went with a tour group several years ago, and we got to skip the line too. I agree that skipping the line is the only way to go. This video really reminded me that there really are people everywhere all the time at all the major sites. Ah! All the stress.
Loved your blog and will use your tips on my visit in May. I love your hat, please can you share where you got it from or a link would be appreciated! Thanks
My husband and I went to Italy for our honeymoon in November! We also did Rome in about 2.5-3 days and it was such a whirlwind experience! I really enjoyed your vlog and it made me miss Rome so much! 💖Will definitely have to return once it's safe to travel again and hit up all the places your mentioned!!!
LOL you keep leaving your husband, that's so funny. I went to visit Rome in 2017 as part of a cruise. We had literally had less than half a day - definitely not enough. We were trying to run and get to all the places and just take places. We didnt go inside anywhere but if we did would definitely do the skip the line lol
Thanks so much for watching!!! We stayed at the rome style hotel it’s a very accessible hotel, walking distance to the Spanish steps, trevi fountain, great shopping and restaurants, there’s a metro station very close too! Also the hotel feels updated and a decent price too!

Hi! Lovely vlog! Im going to Rome and have 3 questions. 1. If I prepay tickets to colosseum + vatican, does that automatically means I have the right to "skip the line" or is that another thing? Ive heard that its recomended to preorder tickets, but is it worth doing that if not skip the line is included? 2. If youre in a guided tour, is that to recomend, or is it stressful? I love taking pictures etc so Im afraid the people will just head off and I end up rushing.. For example how do you have enough time to do a small photoshoot at the colosseum? 3. The pic you took in front of colosseum was beautiful. Last question: where exactly did you go to find that spot? Theres a lot of small stairs and Im afraid I wont find it..
1. Are you Pre-paying for these tickets via the websites for the colosseum and the Vatican museum? Those websites I’m not as familiar with, but if you get these skip the line tickets thru get your guide or viator, then you get to skip the line and pay for your entry at the same time so I’d recommend doing it thru one of those as they are reputable. 2. I personally don’t always love doing guided tours for this very reason. I would say just go on your own and there are probably audio guides you can download from the internet/AppStore and listen to on your phone for these places or maybe the locations themselves are now offering audio guides (it’s been since 2019 that I was there) 3. The pic spot is super easy to get to. If you’re standing at the entrance of the colosseum, the staircase is basically off to your left, so near the south east side of the colosseum right off of via ceilo vibenna which is the street that runs around the south side of the colosseum. Just go up that staircase and I took those pics right on that ledge immediately at the top of that staircase. I hope that makes sense!
Thank you for all the great tips. It’s certainly helpful for when I go in October. One question..what hotel did you stay at. Was it from the main attractions?
It was called the rome style hotel, and it was a great location we could easily walk to the Spanish steps, trevi fountain, and there’s a nearby metro for easy access to the rest of the city
I had Rome on my travel bucketlist for this year but thanks to the pandemic all those plans have gone to the wind. It sure looks beautiful from your vlog😩
Hello, great vlog! Can I ask what time of year you were in Rome? (sorry if I missed it) I'm going in early June for my birthday, hoping its not as busy, probably wishful thinking I know lol. Already looked into skip the line tickets, definitely don't want to deal with crazy long queues!
Hey! So we were there in late sept, this was before Covid tho. I’ve been in June as well in the past and early June will probably be crowded but at least the weather won’t be too hot yet! Enjoy your birthday trip! I’ll be in the south of France for my birthday right around the same time :)
@@MissMooreStyle Hi, thanks for the reply. Yea I think it's going to be really busy especially now Covid restrictions are lifting, who am I kidding 😁. Definitely chose early June to avoid scorching weather though, that and the crowds, worst combo! We will have a great time regardless I'm sure, thank you 😊 I had a feeling you might be a Gemini by the way you navigated those crowds at the Vatican? lol. Hopefully we get to see some clips from your birthday trip to France. Have a lovely time 💜
I love how I handled the Vatican gave my sign away hahaha. Yes! There will be so many videos!! The hubs and I are going on a virgin cruise that leaves from Barcelona the day before my bday and then goes to marseille, Cannes, olbia, and Ibiza, and then we are going to Paris after so there will be so much fun travel content coming this summer for sure!!! ♥️ you will have the best time in rome! Even if it’s crowded it’s all what you make it honestly!!
The Domestic Gypsy no it’s not but we were in the amalfi coast 5 days and then Florence for 2days before this so we were hopping around. Def need to go back and see more!
sheesh. The lines for everything was so long. I dont blame you for paying to skip the line. Noted if I ever travel to Rome. The scenery is amazing though.
I've been in Italy for 5 times... and Roma also 3-4 times. After Spain is my favourite country to live! Now I have my best friend living in Rome, so... I need to comeback again!
Why rush through a city like Rome in 2.5 days? That’s just crazy! You’re not gonna really know the place. You’ll just end up with lots of photos to document your “Rome thing”. Hitting all the usual tourist places. But you’ll never really know the place, just a facsimile. You might want to re-examine your values. No wonder American tourists have earned such a poor reputation.
Thanks for your input David!! Some people can’t afford to spend more time there and we were just grateful to check it out on the end of our already 2 week trip. What’s the alternative…just not go at all because you only have a couple days? That seems silly. Definitely looking forward to getting to spend more time there again at a later time and do the less touristy things…maybe let people travel and live their life? No wonder random TH-cam trolls with no content of their own have earned such a poor reputation.
@@MissMooreStyle so was it a last minute change or was this rushed itinerary planned ahead of time? I suspect the latter. Yep, the Ugly American is a well known species. Two and a half days in Rome, as per the travel itinerary. Love your snide comment. Sound like such lovely people.

You must be very fortunate indeed to be able to take such long trips in every destination you choose to visit!! How amazing for you! Again, maybe let people live their own lives how they choose, and don’t presume to know me or how i travel. If I could’ve stayed longer in rome, I certainly would have but that was not in the cards on that trip. Have a GREAT day! ✌🏻
