Clever way of tacking the DIN header to the board for a solid connection

Great video. After cloning does the ecu require any sprt of programming/relearn/activation etc on the car? What and why was the hex editor used?

Nothing is needed after completely this process. This isnt full cloning where your copying all data from one to another. This method is pretty much just editing the required data from the original to the donor. Trying to do full clone never used to work for me on these. Have not tried it with the newer kess3 yet, maybe that one will do full clone.

What is the monthly or annual cost if I just want to use cloning feature?

KTAG support is pretty much done I believe so there would be no future updates or subscription fee's past buying the tool but since its end of life I wouldn't recommend buying it. The newer tool (kess3) is initial cost of unit and protocol groups you want and about 1k yearly subscription.

Dont think I have, but it wouldn't be the first hyundai/kia ecu Ive had trouble on with kess3.

Does ktag can't do all this through the obd connection?i mean is it not possible to do this without removing ECU from car?

ktag doesnt work through obd. Possible with kess 2 maybe but I hand never tried it or looked into it sorry.

And if you take the ecu from the same model, the engine, but with a different letter at the end of the ecu?
I'm going to clone 115L into another box with a different letter at the end. I hope that by cloning eeprom and flash in med9 it will work in a new box
