How To Detect Hidden GPS Trackers On Any Vehicle

  • Now any TSCM or security professional can detect and locate hidden GPS trackers on any vehicle up to 150 feet away using a low-cost Yorkie cell phone detector.
    Yorkie™ cell phone detector is a handheld receiver designed for covert wireless contraband detection. Yorkie's light weight, sleek profile and color touchscreen make it ideal for all day use by security personnel, corrections officer and any law enforcement agent requiring a NO CELL PHONE policy in their facility. It is small enough to fit into most pockets where it can offer vibrating alerts all day to security personnel. This dedicated receiver is ultra-sensitive and able to sniff out all active cell phone use up to 150 feet away using any removable SMA antenna. And since the receiver is passive and does not communicate nor intercept any cellular data at all, it is completely legal and RF invisible. This means that no court orders or warrants are required that could slow down any ongoing field use.
    Users can also adjust threshold levels instantly and set attenuation for noisy RF floors for any facility. Yorkie's internal battery is easily charged in the included dock which also allows the unit to become a 24-7 contraband detection monitor right from your desk.
    Small enough to fit into your pocket for covert cell phone detection
    Color touchscreen allows for easy and instant adjustment and measurements by any user
    User adjustable thresholds and attenuation for any RF environment

    • @Bvsystems

      That would depend on the GPS tracker and its settings. Some trackers are only active while a vehicle is in motion (although some claim that stepping down on bumper is enough to trigger the accelerometer in GPS tracker) while other trackers transmit all the time. We would recommend waiting until vehicle is in motion at least 15 MPH in order to ensure that tracker is actively transmitting.

      When searching for hidden GPS trackers, we always recommend putting all nearby cellular devices into airplane mode (or just turn them off) in order to avoid confusing cellular signals with GPS tracker signals. But even if you cannot find or turn off a cellular device for some reason, our GPS tracker detectors can identify and distinguish between the typical RF energy that cell phones emit and the brief and infrequent pings that GPS trackers typically emit. It takes practice, but users can visually identify these signals compared to common cellular signals by using our cellular receivers.

    News flash for those who think this video helps car thieves: professional car thieves ALREADY KNOW about GPS tracking devices and how to find them, they also already know how to bypass the door locks and the engine-no-start security. The speed at which a car can be entered, started, and driven away IS the primary factor for a car thief when casing potential vehicles. A thief with this device in the video would use it to find cars that DON'T have 3rd party tracking devices installed, not to target cars that do.

RF jammers (even small cigarette lighter models) are illegal and might not work for you. They are cheaply made and inconsistent in both coverage and reliability. So not only will it not reliably block all GPS trackers, it can also get you busted when you knock out other people's RF as you drive by. www.techtimes.com/articles/161146/20160526/florida-man-gets-48k-fine-from-fcc-for-using-cell-phone-jammer.htm

      Sorry you feel that way Jim, but we primarily sell to law enforcement agencies on both local and federal levels if that makes you feel any better. We do also sell to customers concerned about their privacy rights being violated by these same law enforcement agencies and others, but as you can imagine, we're not in the business of screening every customer extensively. Since we only passively detect RF over the public airwaves, I can confidently state that we are in no violation nor even close to contributing a privacy or security risk to any parties involved. The benefit of detecting GPS trackers is only a side effect of this device which is primarily sold to correctional facilities for the detection of contraband phones.

    • @Bvsystems
      @Bvsystems  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not exactly. Due to RF interference caused by different materials it must pass through and other nearby RF transmissions, there is no way to accurately control a detection radius by distance. But Yorkie includes attenuation and threshold control allowing users to adjust for general distances and only alert when a strong (usually nearby too) signal his detected. In other words, it's fairly easy to distinguish between signals originating from 10 to 20 feet away compared to signals originating from 50 to 100 feet away.

      Hi Ninga. We sell products like these to law enforcement, military and government officials but get criticism from regular citizens for offering tools that "violate" their privacy rights. So we get critics from both sides.
      We do sell to private citizens but they make up about .01% of our customer base so there is little chance of our products being used for illegal purposes but the same thing can be said about knives or guns too.
      Videos like these go much further to educate citizens and law enforcement on the technical tools available and not so much for criminals. Firstly, criminals already know all about these devices. Secondly, there are many devices available legally for 1/10th the cost of ours. This is because our products are all factory calibrated and made entirely in the USA for multiple wireless security applications, not just GPS tracker detection.

Another way to ask my question is: do trackers like Invoxia emit EMF all the time when on the move it stay alseep and wake up and scan for GPS or bluetooth waves every, say, 10 minutes, in burts?

    • @Bvsystems
      @Bvsystems  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do not believe any trackers emit RF all the time (in order to conserve battery power) which is what makes detecting them so challenging. But so long as the GPS tracker is in a moving vehicle and is powered on, it will emit something at least every 10-20 minutes. Of course 20 minutes is too long of an interval for most users that really need to track a vehicle so most users set the interval to something more often like every 5-20 seconds.

    So get 2, 1 airtag somewehere easy to acces and another one wired to vehicle battery but inside frame with power cut alarm...
    They detect and find the first , take it out and think yes, and you got them, or they detect the second and leave it because it takes too long or they cut the power ..theoretically.
    In RL I would faraday cage a semi trailer, plenty of time to cut out the tracker...thieves always win , you can only slow them down or kill them lol

      Our BlueSleuth-Lite instantly detects all nearby AirTags, Tiles, Smart Tags, etc. and lists them by MAC address and signal strength. It even identifies BLE spoofing that AirTags do. Available soon for only $499. www.bvsystems.com/product/bluesleuth-lite-ble-tag-detector/

    Just plug a GPS jammer in the cigarette lighter hole. It works.

    • @Bvsystems
      @Bvsystems  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most RF jammers are made in China have a reputation for poor build quality and ineffective ranges because they are illegal and not standardized. This means that you could plug a jammer into your car and assume it's working but you are still being tracked. Also, RF jammers that get power from the cigarette lighter will not function while the car is not running and some GPS trackers can operate all the time so they will still know everywhere you park.
      And if it works, you are now jamming your cell phone and car's GPS so no navigation in your own vehicle which is not too good either.

      To Berkeley varatronics, what is ironic is the person that sent you that advice on the car jammer for the GPS tracking device has been stalking, harassing, and tracking me for three years including I now see using my phone to create a another persona (me only) and placing comments on the internet as if it was coming from me or my devices, this person/person has also cloned family and friends phones doing the same thing so your response to them just gave them more leverage to continuing stalking and harassing me by helping them to by pass jammer device that I had for devices in and around my home, and yes authorities know about this but they along with confidential informants have been doing this and no I have never been in trouble with the law I just cross paths with psychos who did not like me, and the rest is history, still I ran across your video trying to find ways to end my nightmare, the truth of the matter is this as long as I use any form of technology the government will never leave me alone now that I have been put in the spot light but I can get away from the crazy psychos that started all this and move on with my life. Thanks for the information and may God bless you.

    But it only shows that there is a tracking device but not where is the device located?

    • @Bvsystems
      @Bvsystems  ปีที่แล้ว

      All of our instruments show real time signal strength which can benefit in locating the hidden tracker. And some of our devices (Wolfhound-Pro, Yorkie-Pro) contain direction finding antennas which pinpoint the hidden device.

      Do you also ask gun manufacturers if they are working for bank robbers? We make test and security tools for law enforcement and many government agencies. GPS tracker detection is just one small feature of this product. All tools can be used for both good and bad and it is not our job to enforce that use.

      @@paulvanh1796 It's unreasonable to expect any business to not advertise products that are completely legal for all citizens to purchase. Remember, in the U.S., citizens have the right to not be tracked so locating GPS trackers is very important to those people as well as law enforcement. We do not deal with criminals so I couldn't speak to that.
