    We moved next door to my husband’s parents 7 years ago. We rent from them. They have 3 other rental properties not far. I began noticing little things being brought up in conversations that were things we never told anyone else. Knowing about things we didn’t say to them. …These two people actually bugged his 93 yo mother’s phone to find out what she was doing with her will. I told my husband,..if they did it once , they might have liked being in the know even when they aren’t around??? I truly believe that there are some type of listening devices put in this house when they partially remodeled before we got here. I don’t know where to begin looking. His mother is an extreme gossiper and his dad likes gadgets. After knowing that someone actually tapped the elderly mother’s phone and recorded conversations….I wouldn’t put anything past these two. I need a starting point.

    There is a real problem with private surveillance. The only way to make it go away is with strict bans with mandatory 20 year sentences for any entity caught violating the bans, and no limits on the amount of money a victim can be awarded against the actual perpetrators and the suppliers of the equipment.

    • @donabernathy486
      @donabernathy486 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Strict Bans, Victim and supplier awards....more government controls... sounds like democratic solution.... You do realize the anti-bugging regs were designed to protect politicians... now that bugs are so cheap it has moved into the civilian domain... Its unfortunate, but the only people you would be punishing would be the Americans... your not going to get Chinese suppliers to do anything but smile on the way to the bank... beware what you wish for...

    • @AMERICANPATRIOT1945
      @AMERICANPATRIOT1945 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@donabernathy486 ,
      If the Americans don't or can't buy, the Chinese can't supply. Private entities are never within their rights to conduct surveillance operations against the American people or individual citizens. It is time to force our legal system to reflect this fact and stop making excuses for the amount of big data surveillance and dossier collection perpetrated against We The People by all sorts of assorted private actors. There is a world of difference between an individual using an Air Tag to track their own property and a criminal using the same to enable crime. The criminal should be slapped with a 20 year sentence for the surveillance in the furtherance of crime alone, in addition to the sentence for the actual crime. The manufacturer and sales entity should also be charged and imprisoned for supplying the criminal with the device, knowledge, and or technology.
      Have you considered that the CCP, the Iranian mad mullahs, the North Koreans, the Russians, and other totalitarian regimes benefit from surveillance of the American people by private entities? How better to identify and compromise a person in a sensitive job than to have access to plus the ability to manipulate that person's data with the help of greedy private surveillance and data companies? Have you considered the evil effects of allowing private companies to decide through credit scores and other private ratings with near zero government oversight our ability to succeed in life?
      And yes, you are absolutely correct about the Wiretapping Act protecting the rich and the powerful from us. The letter of the Act makes no distinction between rich or poor, government of private citizen. In reality, try doing to a rich data mining executive what that executive does to the rest of us and see what happens. That is because we have a two tiered legal system with a separate compartment for the rich and the powerful. Gun control is also there to protect the rich and the powerful from us, in direct violation of the 2A. Gun bans only stop We The People from getting weapons. The rich and their bodyguards can always get special exceptions for themselves.
      The mere fact that private companies have access to our most intimate personal details is obscene and never has a right to exist in a free and democratic society. The only way to put a stop to such injustice is by totally eliminating the ability of private entities to have access to our personal details without permission. There is no reason for any private entity to have permanent free random access to medical and financial data. Location data should also be off limits.
      We have grown a private government with tyrannical intentions, near zero limits on the unearned and undeserved power it wields, and zero ability to legally remove it or its individual members from their undeserved and unearned power. The only way to amend this problems peacefully is to change our laws to bar all private surveillance other than basic security on premises, ban all big data snooping into our lives, and an enforcement system with lengthy prison time for those who violate privacy rights, especially executives in charge of companies that commit such violations. There is absolutely no justification for private LPRs, medical data access, financial data access, and other warrantless personal data access by private entities.
      There is no good created by the private surveillance and dossier state we currently live under.

      There is only one way to fix the cell phone bug problem and that is with ROM based operating systems for the important functions such as calling, sensors, mics, cameras, etc. There should also be hard disconnect switches for all sensors, cameras, and mics and power supply which fully disconnect them when the owner of the phone wishes to disable them. Hi John, my car has a sun sensor in the middle of dash where the windshield meets the dash. I recently swept my car using a hand-held RF detector. I was careful to set the sensitivity level to a very low to minimize the false positives and to ensure that the detector sense to devices only within 2-3 feet radius. When I hover the detector next to the sunlight sensor, it gave out strong beeping sound. Another area in the car that gives strong beeping sound is when I hold the detector horizontally on the passenger seat with antenna pointing towards the front of the car. Is this I should look further into? Or do you think the car sensors do emit some type of RF signals and these are all false signals?

    I've actually done some training at the REI facility in tennessee. My group does not work primarily with bug sweeping, but we do own a piece of equipment made by REI called an OSCOR. It's essentially a spectrum analyzer with some additional bells and whistles. It can demodulate analog audio, detect burst transmissions, frequency-hopping signals, detect signals being transmitted via a standard power outlet, and even detect signals being transmitted via light... That last one was surprising. A normal desk lamp, for example, it's not just "on"; it's actually fluctuating on and off faster than your eye can detect. By modulating the flashing, you can send signals that you can see with your eyes but your brain is unable to notice. People have a hard time truly understanding just how insanely fast electronics work.
    That being said, one of my issues with that piece of equipment in particular is its total lack of ability to decode anything digital. That's not to say REI hasn't created some other piece of equipment that is capable of doing so. So it could be handy for finding something that is transmitting a signal, but unless it's analog you'll have no idea what it's actually transmitting

    I'm mostly interested in how these devices work just because electrical circuit design is a part of my hobby. Anyways, I rarely agree with hiring a professional but this is one of those situations where I probably would. A lot of these cheaper devices are basically a coil, Bluetooth ic, led, photo resistor, and some other 11 herbs and spices of components. Basically, a Bluetooth speaker with a tachometer but if a professional comes in with a semi-conductor detector they are likely to find a bug if you have one. Although, my house would be a nightmare. I've got MOSFETs in my couch, transistors in my dresser, and the occasional 555 timer I dropped and lost. For your Orion device do those semi-conductors need to be active for detection? When I was in the military we used something similar for IED detection because carbon rods became the favorite. You had a difficult time inducing a current into carbon so metal detectors would miss them but they are still decent conductors. Anyways, thanks for putting this video up and while it wasn't the answer I wanted it was the answer I needed.

That detector beeped so loud and put it near me, then far a few time's and it only beeped on that one area where my heart center is. So yes, it does find entities..

    I need advices from someone please. I'm being harrassed for close to 1 month and a half and I'm being followed up to my work and grocery and other necessary commodities. I start to recognize some faces, cars ans strategies. They are not that subtile and I'm in hyper vigilance mode so I take note of everything suspicious or potentially suspicious. I called the police 2 times and explain the situation. I've been told that if the persons do not do anything really concrete, police cannot do anything. Still it's super stressful, I don't go out anywhere not if not necessary and I'm always armed and never stop to places where I could be alone. I'm starting to believe that I might have a tracker on my car. Tracker Detector are super expensive and I'm about to go unemployed because I'm starting to have difficulties to concentrate, I'm super nervous and distracted and I just cannot see life going on like that for long. I'm starting to think about permanent solution

    What would you advise the average traveler to purchase under say $500 to sweep hotel rooms for cheap pervert cams? If none, how much do you have to spend before getting decent equipment?

    • @JohnMorrisThePIGuy
      @JohnMorrisThePIGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't recommend any equipment for personal use, there simply are way too many variables at play and there is no, "One thing does it all" type of equipment. We utilize tens of thousands of dollars in professional equipment and training for our technicians. As for a cost to sweep a hotel room, it really depends on the location, timing and a lot of other factors. Every TSCM company has differing processes and and costs. I would recommend you get quotes form LOCAL TSCM companies when traveling.

      Buy some conductive paint, paint the walls of your clean room, or your whole house, splice it off of a circuit to power it up. You won't be able to use WiFi, but you can hardwire internet to the clean room. You would be creating what is called a Faraday cage. A barrier of electrical interference that blocks wifi. For thermal scans buy some space blankets and fix them to your ceilings. You would be a blank spot for any Satellite spying on your house. It works for soldiers to evade thermal detection.

    I agree with your explanations. However, the complex bugs you allude to are probably more associated with state-sponsored monitoring. Your typical hotel monitoring device is probably as inexpensive as the detection devices you say to stay away from, and probably more detectable. But who cares much about listening bugs? Most of us are worried about video recording devices. And for detecting those, a simple and cheap IR source and lens can spot those. Good info, though.
