    I am unsure how to interpret the high value placed on female modesty with the conversation immediately prior - that men only want women for sex or a long term relationship. Does this mean that the women the men have sex with are immodest and unmarriageable? Or that the men who engage in casual sex are themselves immodest and therefore not marriage material? I would suggest that if a man requires modesty from his future wife - he himself must practice modesty and refrain from casual encounters!

      @@Gaziselim5725 no she’s right. Both men and women should control themselves. Why waste time having a casual relationship with someone who you deep down don’t want to marry? That time could be spent on looking for a partner that will match with you. This applies to both men and women.

      Yes, agreed. You can only require same of what you are. And no, it's not different "for men and women" (as replied by someone down below) in this regard. In Islam, for example, men are utterly and explicitly forbidden of, or better put: "casual intercourse", does not exist. It's considered dirty, degrading and completely disrespectful towards the woman and weak and immoral for the man that looks to engage in it, besides other moral consequences man suffer in such case, inside the brotherhood. Men like this are considered sinners and have respect lost from the Muslim community.
      "Have you seen ˹O Prophet˺ the one who has taken their own desires as their god? Will you then be a keeper over them?" [Quran 25:43]
      "Or do you think that most of them listen or understand?1 They are only like cattle-no, more than that, they are astray from the ˹Right˺ Way!" [Quran - 25:44]
      Keep keen and smart sister, peace be upon you and your family. Alhamdullilah.

      That is where u get Double standards. This is huge in this type of culture and no1 cares or even considers a man immodest or a ho3 if he sleeps with a women. They expect it. The standards of modesty are enforced only on women. ( b4 any1 comes to comment on religion. I am not talking about religion just the culture)

    ASA .. I’m black American woman had a 5 year relationship with a man from Egypt 🇪🇬He worked @ a local neighborhood store in the hood. He was asking the other guys who were Arab who is this woman she acts different from the other women who come here. They say ahhh that’s nice woman . He made his acquaintance with me. And we started hanging out , we had sex, he was romantic, he was protective of me. Jealous , drove me , he seemed like a guy I could spend the rest of my life with. Until he kept me hidden, only called when he wanted me sexually, disappeared a lot, he was in Egypt family emergency allegedly. Tell me be patient before we move to next level… marriage never happened. I had to disconnect myself totally from him. Wat a waste of time and regret even giving him power over me like that. Wat an Arab experience. Heart broken 💔 but I’m ok now. Your video is on point. Thanks

    And what’s wrong with being a feminist? I look at feminism as just the opportunity to have an education and to share my skills and talents in the workforce as men have had these rights for all time. But for me I definitely believe in being a good wife and mother. I will gladly pause my career to raise our children.

    Regarding social circle and picking up bad habits from those who surround us: it only happens if you're a weak person and can be influenced easily. In my circle there's some people who smoke and drink and curse and do whatever and somehow, after decades, I still do not do any of it. That's what I think proves one's character and that's what matters. Because being a saint among saints is easy. Group of friends is selected carefully to fit us but social circle like school/work environment is what it is. Strong character is what wins.

      Hey, not having a degree isn't a deal breaker. :) It often depends on how naturally sound a person is. Our grandparents did not have degrees either, but they knew how to raise their kids, who grew up to occupy important roles in society. From what you wrote, I am sure a lot of men would appreciate you and your preferences.

      Hey, don't worry. My Partner is highly educated and he said, that i am (despite not having a degree) much more intelligent, than women with degree (and he is not the first one who told me so). I had back luck in my life with my family and background, but i read a lot and watch daily different documentaries . I travel a lot, i have visited countries with different religion/culture. And i work in a quite good position, without having a degree, so everything is possible ;) And now, not that young anymore, i am evening finishing my degree, but this was not a deal breaker for my partner. Sure, he is happy, that i decided to study and supports me a lot, but he loves me for who i am, not for a piece of paper.

      @@Fuadtalks Glad to finally "meet" someone from Yemen! I am not Muslim, but years ago when living abroad in a non-Muslim country I had a group of wonderful Muslim friends and I decided to experience the fasting of Ramadan with them. I meant it mostly as a way to understand the difficulties of it (much greater than I thought ... but because of abstaining from water, not food) and I really got an eye opener about myself -- because of the injunction against what is translated as "backbiting." NO, I have never been the type to verbalize petty criticisms of others, but I thought them from "time to time." I just didn't realize how often those times occurred until I was watching myself during Ramadan. I hated that about myself as even once a day is too much, and the month I spent observing, and then replacing, such petty thoughts with understanding and appreciation about people's differences, means that now it is very rare for to me to have such thoughts. Anyway, I lasted the month and observed every aspect of Ramadan except the prayers of course, as I thought that as a non-believer I would be mocking a religion I respect to go through the motions of prayer. Since returning to the US I have not been able to again observe Ramadan, despite my wanting to, but I do give thanks in my own way for that one month by donating Zakat every Ramadan to causes in a Muslim country. Usually, because of what I've read about the ongoing hardships in Yemen, my Zakat is designated for your birth country. After listening to you, I feel even happier about my choice. Thanks! 🙏

    • @Fuadtalks
      @Fuadtalks  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Haha, I completely understand your point! In casual hookups, appearance matters a lot, and you're absolutely right; it's not easy to keep up with the never-ending beauty and fashion trends. In the West, women's self-worth is often linked to their physical looks. What they may not realize is that they are subtly manipulated by these trends. They may think they are doing it for themselves, but in reality, it's often to gain male admiration.
      What's ironic is that women who choose modesty are often seen as capitulating to male desires and sometimes labeled as 'oppressed women.' In reality, all they're doing is resisting the societal expectations and the widespread objectification of women in the West.
      So, what I'm trying to say here is that in our cultures, we value women beyond their looks, and when we choose a wife, we are taught to not have the looks as a primary evaluating factor.
      My intent was not to address your comment specifically but to highlight this difference. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I have many Eastern friends and I have travelled to the Middle East and I can tell you that women there are modest, yes, but they are not less obsessed with their appearance than Western women. My God changed my heart, when I pray I feel overwhelmed with His presence in my soul and I feel love and calmness. I remember 2 years ago while in covid, I prayed to Jesus(my God) to make me holy because I want to serve just Him and I want people to know that they come only from Him, cause He healed me from real depression and answered every prayer since I was little child. Well that night after I prayed I went to sleep. I woke up with no reason at 4 in the morning and from the door I heard someone saying " Not yet,Hannah(telling me to wait for my prayer to be fulfilled). I asked mother was that her, but she was sleeping and there was none but her. And voice was neutral and soft. I know many times I find myself worrying about many things and then I open the Bible and God just answers exactly. I know the devil is real, I have been where possesed people were and the only thing that made demons tremble, scream and leave was the Name of Jesus and the cross. So many miracles God does so much supernatural things, but people seem so blind even to that. I know Jesus is Truth, othervise people wouldnt mock Him so much and kill His servants all over the globe. I feel fulfiled when I am alone with my God, I feel joy, I feel love and there I get strenght to live and love.
