I do. I have the old Sonet GT Line DCT and use my sunroof regularly. Even in the summers, in the evenings, I love to open the Sunroof, really gives me a great feeling. This review by MotorInc was instrumental in my decision to buy the Kia Sonet. I feel confident about the Sonet's capabilities and found the perfect car for my needs..! It's been a week with my new Kia Sonet GTX+ 2024 & I am loving it Thanks.
This helped a ton! Been researching about Sonet1.0L Turbo engine and the infamous 1st-gen suspension. My doubts are cleared and I have decided to book the HTK+ IMT Turbo variant .
53:09 Discipline and driving sense is the most important safety aspect everyone forgets and blabbers about crash test ratings. We have a WagonR. Yes its body is "Tin ka dabba" and some stupid crashed into our car and there were few dents out there. But I love that car for its ease of driving as a beginner. And one needs to have cautious behaviour while on the road. I feel frustrated when someone cuts me while I'm driving or suddenly comes ahead of me without any indication. This is called indiscipline which unfortunately our traffic system is unable to deal with. Also what Karthik told is true. People having a call while driving/riding just distracts their attention span and mishaps happen instantaneously. I think someone needs to address all these issues and teach us how to drive/ride well on a road and only then after people can rant about crash test ratings. Also people showoff saying their car is a 5 star rated or their helmet has ece certification so they're invincible but they forget the most important aspect that keeps them in shape that is locking helmet strap or wearing seat belt. Unless they wear them, there's no 5 star safety or an ece certification that saves you after a crash. People need to learn these little things to understand how safety works in the first place.
Planning to buy sonet. Is the back seat so bad. Every year there can be few long drives which have people at back as well Or should I go for grand vitara
The Grand Vitara is better in rear seat comfort. But Sonet is better for me as its more compact and better fit and finish. However given a choice i find the new Creta really tempting 😊 But really you should buy what your heart tells you to. All the cars nowadays are really good. ❤
Thanks for the the clarity on this critical topic.. My driving condition are very 70% Delhi Bumper to Bumper Traffic and 30% highway. I believe I should go for TC or CVT to avoid the complications. 😊
Can you suggest me which engine option to take 1.0 turbo petrol or 1.5 diesel we travel like maybe 20 kms average? i dont want to regret later wishing the engine should be more powerful and fun
The end part of the conversation was gem. One of my acquaintance recently got a Nexon and was flexing on the safety aspects. I've seen the guy drive and I can assure he will crash a tank. One of the biggest marketing pull offs is the safety rating systems. Safety is important and so is to ensure that proper driving schools exist and licence is not given out to anyone who registers for it.
Have a doubt here - It definitely would make a lot of difference if people got more careful while driving and thought about their actions on the road before flaunting safety ratings on the road But till that happens we do have a lot of unsafe drivers on the road and is that not exactly a reason why you need a safer car for yourself? Because my safety on the road is not just a consequence of my driving but of others as well, having a better safety rated car would be safer for me or is there not a big difference between 1 star and 5 star rated cars(genuinely curious here)?
Schumi's knowledge of cars is . Why don't send him for the next car's first drive, hearing his first observations for cars will be fun ....... or it can be a fun episode Kartikeya's observations are really the one which everyone will appreciate in day to day ownership. Great points keep it up!!
Hey Shumi, Karthik, fan from UK here. Moving back home to Bengaluru after 14 long years and researching automatic cars left, right and centre! I enjoyed this episode for everything that it had especially the last part with safety discussions and Karthik's agro mode! On the Sonet ADAS, i wonder if there is a known answer to whether the intensity of steering input to lane keep assist could be changed in driver settings? I have thr camera based level 1 on my A4 here and that lets me choose the input level! PS: Shumi, for what it is worth, I think you taking up some of the air-time in Karthis's points is very nice and pleasant to see. Keeps this light hearted and enjoyable rather than make it feel like a serious discussion about someone's funeral arrangements. Great job guys🎉
Hi @motorinc, Would you suggest Nexon's DCA or Sonet's DCT. I believe Sonet has dry clutch DCT and it can be a problem for Indian weather. I am aware of the good practices on how to drive a DCT but still worry about their failure. Tata has changed the DCT and they are calling it DCA. They are sourcing it from a company called Punch Powertrain. It is a Wet Clutch (but friction elements are not oil immersed so as to avoid power loss and preserve efficiency) with Single Input Shaft and Planetary Gears that has resulted in 30% less components than traditional DCT. Tata also says it has Self Healing Mechanism to clear off dust. For a family car to be driven for next 8-10 years in a metropolitan city with occasional trips(once every 2-3 months), would you suggest Nexon DCA or Sonet DCT when it comes to long term reliability, smoothness and mileage.
😂😂😂can’t stop laughing and pondering over the impassioned mention of ‘First level of hygiene- learn to drive’. How much more clearer can it be. The summary was 100/10 for me . Did we get an answer to the N line question? Happy I landed in your podcast during my research for the car and not a bike or car enthusiast by any stretch but love the rejoinders and brings a smile to my day for sure ! Would definitely wish to see a video/podcast on using/understanding the ADAS please by Karthik!
Hi, I have a question. How is the duke 250 in comparison to Vstrom. I mean in the rideablity part. I have ridden Vstrom in cities, highways and all. It is a very capable bike, can maneuver in the bumper to bumper traffic, can be ridden hard, doesn't stall at slow speeds and loves to revv as wel. Vstrom is calm and capable. How's the Duke 250 in comparison?
Guys, which one’s a better pick between Taigun AT 1.0 TSI (GT line) vs Sonet GTX 1.0 DCT…there’s a lac difference between the two post all discounts. Would appreciate the help
Nice video! After my experience with 3-cylinder turbo petrol motor of VW (on Polo GT TSI), I am really skeptical about the smoothness of a 3-cyl. Whats your advise on 1L turbo petrol vs 1.5 diesel in terms of engine smoothness and overall refinement ?
Hey there! I'm in the market for my first four-wheeler and I'm torn between the Venue and the Sonet, both in diesel with manual transmission. It's odd that the Sonet doesn't offer manual in the GT or X line, which is surprising. I'd really appreciate your thoughts, reviews, and any criticism you have about both cars. Thanks in advance!
I want to buy imt transmission. Which one is more fun to drive? Turbo petrol or diesel(Eventually the price will be the same for me due to kms)... Pls suggest😊
Hello, could you please let us know how if the 1.2ltr NA is worth it? Or do we need to stretch a bit and go for the turbo? Also would love to know if the KIA IMTs are reliable.
Please stretch for the turbo! It will make this indulgence so much more worthwhile! As for iMT - we haven’t heard of any issues with it - and remember it is just like a manual transmission - so it’s not complicated.
I am sitting in a cafe and laughing my lungs out. Thank you sooo much for the digression at the end. It is literally amazing how you both make so much sense even when you guys are pissed off. I am so glad to have spent my one hour here. 🤜🏼
So I have a “versus” question for the Sonnet! 😅 We are family of 4 living in Pune with our indie dog who travels with us almost everywhere. We drive around 30k kms per year. I was looking for a 60:40 split for sure hence was looking at Seltos. Specifically diesel automatic (upgrading from Vento DSG diesel) However the sonnet has the 60:40 now. So a topend Sonnet vs a HTX Seltos Views please @SirKart
Go with seltos htx It's a bigger car for 5 so it makes for your family of four and your dog whereas sonet is more of a four seater so assuming your kids sit in the rear seat along with the dog it would not be as good an experience in the sonet Considering budget is not an issue
hi, Thankyou for the detailed review but with being shortlisted of buying a Sonet HTX Diesel imt for my Dad as a second car while the first being EcoSport diesel, I am little confused with the Sonet itself that should i get 2024 facelifted ones or the 2023 prefacelift models, (My need is to get Diesel imt) which are getting really good discounts of around 2 lakhs, while this being, is it worth to spend 2 lakhs extra for the facelift? or should settle with 2023 Sonet diesel? is the facelift really worth pushing, 1. Rear Disc Brake 2. Rear seat space, 60:40 split 3.Ventilated seats 4.no alloys on facelift htx 5. 6 airbags 6. Chassis stiffened up (doubtful) 7.New one looks good tho 8. Colour choices
Every time a new video drops, me (excited to see what you folks have to say) and my 3 y old daughter (excited to dance on the intro music), we both get on the floor and express our joY!
Do you need the extra space? If yes - then the Selstos is an excellent pick. It can also be a car you can hold onto for longer. And the mid spec may have a few features lesser - but the size makes it more satisfying. Let us know if you have any specific needs/wants - would be happy to discuss.
Ok love everything u guys do ... But it feels like the car segments r comedic relief 😂.. it's fantastic...!!! Can u guys just do weekend podcast about everything and anything on wheels....!!! Early morning ride evening chilling with couple of beers with your videos on ... Oh yeah!!!!! And now its about time u guys swapped .. car reviews with shumi and bikes with karthik..!!
I wanted to ask , how are the nvh levels on the new Sonet . I am considering diesel imt , do you hear outside noise inside the cabin ? A lot ? Also can you comment on the lag of imt gear shift
The Sonet always had good sound insulation. The diesel imt will feel quieter and smoother than the diesel auto for sure. The imt is smooth and easy for everyday kind of driving.
Since you guys get insider info. Am planning to buy venue. Heard there is a generation change next year. Wanna know if the inside space in increased in that. Thanks.
Honestly i do partially agree with you in regards to the safety as driving properly is at the forefront. however one thing i like to point out is that the safety features are for "safety". So just because you are driving properly and follow the rules doesn't mean someone else in the road will and it also doesn't mean that he cannot come and crash into you. So its better to have safety features and have safer car as an insurance.
Hullo! The point we are trying to make is - buying a safer car doesn’t reduce your responsibility to be safe on the road. Which is often the perspective.
@@motorinc Well if anyone thinks that they can try to crash test their 5 star cars safety features with the unknown then it's plain stupidity. Maybe he/she will be an example for the masses on educational purposes when any mishaps happen.
@@motorincyeah absolutely as a driver my responsibility is to drive safe but the dynamic environment while driving in India is much more complex and can cause errors which can cause accidents and for that accident for that one mistake that one instance a 5 star rated car is a much better option rather than a 1 star rated car to ensure seamless survival in the accident because everyone how accidents can destroy a person’s life provided the speed is below 70 km/h at time of collision. As Shumi sir said it is a very Grey Topic and people should first understand all terminologies and then come to a conclusion and set their priorities accordingly
I love the 1.0 Turbo petrol DCT of Sonet. But would you guys recommend DCT for the hilly areas like Manali and Upper Himachal region. Should I buy the DCT or the IMT then? (Petrol Only)
Hey Sahil! Try the iMT for sure. From a simplicity and durability standpoint it will be hassle free. The DCT with the new tune for the engine will be the more indulgent option.
We only drove in the day - but the headlamps haven’t changed - so they will be as good/bad as before. We had found them to be decent. Not super, not poor. Adequate.
@motorinc talking about incomplete info, the new hero mavrick comes with twin suspension at the rear. what do you feel about the difference in a monoshock and twin shox. How much difference does it make and can it be a deciding factor in buying a motorcycle?
Hello! First - it should not be a deciding factor in buying a motorcycle like the Mavrick. If it was a high performance machine for handling - yes. As for the two systems - Monoshock is the better solution - but can be more difficult to engineer (space/location/linkages) and at times CAN be more expensive too. Twin shocks if tuned well can offer the similar levels of comfort and control - but it's harder to do so.
The price of Turbo petrol DCT Sonet is almost equal to a mid spec Taigun TC or a Creta CVT. Should you give up on the Sonet features and go for the bigger car?
By default, our recommendation would be the bigger car - it will be more useful for longer. However, if your need is for a small car or a second car - then the Sonet would fit better.
39:38, that's Schumi talking about Nexon's misaligned steerings. Many Nexon's and few of the Nexon's that were sold to customers had their steering a little misaligned, meaning, it would go straight only when the steering was slightly turned towards right side.
Hey MotorInc, I do understand that companies provide the top-of-the-line versions of their cars to review for better coverage of all the features that they provide and based on what I heard, the 1-litre Turbo variant definitely left an impression. But there exists a gap of 5 Lakh Rupees between the entry point of the Sonet and the 1-litre Turbo variant between which is the NA 5MT variant at a much more approachable price. For someone who would like to own a Sonet on a limited budget, it would be great to hear more about the lower variants too in the next in-depth video about the Kia Sonet.
Hey CM! Thanks for spelling that out. We however got to drive only these variants and hence could speak about those. Will try to cover that too in the next conversation.
@@motorinc Another little question that I've wanted to ask about motorcycling from Shumi, is rev-matching a good way to down-shift? I keep worrying about any damage it might do to the drivetrain. I own a Hunter 350 so I'm obviously not a racer or anything but it's just a lot of fun to do and I'm worried about any damage it might pose to my bike.
Test driving cars is what they actually recommend before finalizing the purchase. Well if you think you need to test drive the new Sonet, you should do it for sure to make sure Venue is a better deal and viceversa.
Hey guys. I live in Japan and own a Mazda. Mazda has a good lineup of suvs which I think will be a good sale in India. Do you think there is a market for them?
Yes! And, hello! But it’s not easy because of several reasons - size of the country, value sensitivity, trust factor. Would have loved to see them here though!
Thanks for the feedback. Love your episode today. I get what you are trying to say. I drive a MX-30 (ICE) which is not the best choice but still a good car. I got it for 30L yen which is around 17-19L rupees. Considering the built quality and the safety (which became a sensitive topic after the episode) I think it’s a good value for money in an Indian pov.
And on a different note, what bike would you buy if you are in Japan and had a budget of 10L yen? Typical weekend drive. I owned a 200ns (2013) in India and I like the naked format.
Dear MotorInc team, Never have I laughed so much the way I did for this one. The cheesy banter between these two were cracking me up all the time and though the interruptions to Karti's smooth delivery could be irritating at times, it is what makes the episodes great, so Shumi, poke as much as you can :P. Shumi has mischief written in his face all over, and he is always up to poke Karti whenever chance arises, lol. That being said, great content as always, keep it going. I must say that 2024 Kia Sonet is what I feel as a perfectly rounded car, much better than the new Creta for that matter. The amount of features at its disposal, armed with the plethora of engine + gearbox combos makes it one among the perfect cars to upgrade to. Had the 1.5L + 6MT been there last year, I would have definitely overlooked every con that I have wrote below and bought that as I feel a diesel is best experienced with a manual. Kia Sonet was a close contender for me during my car shopping last year. It was a well rounded car and ticked all the right boxes(almost). The showroom experience was pretty good and consistent. I test drove all the available combos(excluding the baseline one), and here is what I felt, which resonated Karti's thoughts pretty much : Kia Sonet(1.0T + 6IMT) :- Felt lethargic thanks to the turbo lag, followed by a jackhammer kick once the turbo spools up. The iMT was much better than the horrendous AMTs. Kia Sonet(1.0T + 7DCT) :- Felt like magic at work. Shifts were almost imperceptible and worked like a charm. Could only imagine how the DSG's performed, which definitely would be on another level. The ideal engine + gearbox combo in the petrol guise. Kia Sonet(1.5L + 6AT) :- The most reliable combo, I feel. However I couldn't connect with the car much, and the car felt slightly sluggish, though I wouldn't doubt its long distance mile munching capabilities one bit. Kia Sonet(1.5L + 6iMT) :- Had fun driving this variant. Felt like the best of both worlds on offer. The raw feel of a manual turbo-diesel car without the headache of clutching / FE worries. Reasons why I chose not to go for this car : 1. Our relatively low monthly mileage target(could have overlooked this bit still, if not for points 2&3) 2. DEF / DPF related concerns that could affect peace of mind. 3. Future of diesel vehicles thanks to the changing government norms. 4. The rear seat was not a very comfortable place to be in thanks to the premium space on offer.(Could have overlooked still) 5. The stiff ride quality. This was a strict no for me. Especially when you go over the unscientific speed breakers in our cities, you will be reminded very sharply of the same, especially when you are in the rear seats. Cheers, NI
Love the way u guys speak about cars with utmost clarity in thoughts and so unbiased. As far as this video is concerned it would be perfect if 1.2 NA petrol also had come into discussion!
Hullo! We would recommend skipping it and going for the turbo. The 1.2 is a one trick wonder - very refined and calm - for the Sonet you would want something with a bit more zest. Wouldn't you? :-)

We Indians have to agree to the fact that collectively we are not good drivers (we have a big ego and we don't accept that) and then start learning.
Spot on. This is the harsh reality.
Loved the example KS! Totally relatable!
This review by MotorInc was instrumental in my decision to buy the Kia Sonet.
I feel confident about the Sonet's capabilities and found the perfect car for my needs..!
It's been a week with my new Kia Sonet GTX+ 2024 & I am loving it
Thanks.
Congratulations. Thanks for sharing! , we are glad it was helpful.
This helped a ton! Been researching about Sonet1.0L Turbo engine and the infamous 1st-gen suspension. My doubts are cleared and I have decided to book the HTK+ IMT Turbo variant .
What doubt did you had for sonet IMT?

How is your experience now?me too havebought HTK+ ImT petrol sonet, pick up and power is not That great!! What’s your experience?
@@brokeguy5607 I'm impressed with the iMT turbo too and want to buy it. Share some experience with the car.
Hullo again ST! Thanks for speaking your mind. Glad to know of your garage and your way.
Planning to buy sonet. Is the back seat so bad. Every year there can be few long drives which have people at back as well
Or should I go for grand vitara
The Grand Vitara is better in rear seat comfort. But Sonet is better for me as its more compact and better fit and finish. However given a choice i find the new Creta really tempting 😊
But really you should buy what your heart tells you to. All the cars nowadays are really good. ❤
Hey Avish, for occasional use - as long as it’s four people - it should be no problem. Hope that helps! Let us know what you decide!
Thanks for the the clarity on this critical topic.. My driving condition are very 70% Delhi Bumper to Bumper Traffic and 30% highway. I believe I should go for TC or CVT to avoid the complications. 😊
Hi Kartikeya.. would you recommend to buy top end Sonet petrol DCT than Honda elevate top end. Which both are in the range of 17-18L
Can you suggest me which engine option to take
1.0 turbo petrol or 1.5 diesel
we travel like maybe 20 kms average?
i dont want to regret later wishing the engine should be more powerful and fun
What is the additional cost of maintenance for DCT over Manual/IMT gearbox?
The end part of the conversation was gem. One of my acquaintance recently got a Nexon and was flexing on the safety aspects. I've seen the guy drive and I can assure he will crash a tank. One of the biggest marketing pull offs is the safety rating systems. Safety is important and so is to ensure that proper driving schools exist and licence is not given out to anyone who registers for it.
Good point! Thanks SNair!
Have a doubt here -
It definitely would make a lot of difference if people got more careful while driving and thought about their actions on the road before flaunting safety ratings on the road
But till that happens we do have a lot of unsafe drivers on the road and is that not exactly a reason why you need a safer car for yourself? Because my safety on the road is not just a consequence of my driving but of others as well, having a better safety rated car would be safer for me or is there not a big difference between 1 star and 5 star rated cars(genuinely curious here)?
Hi Kartik,
Could you please let me know which one is more practical and value for money car between Sonet HTK 1.2 NA Petrol vs Brezza VXI.
What is the long term opinion on imt gearbox is it realiable, since turbo petrol comes only with imt transmission customer dient have an option here.
Random thought, but Kartikeya's T-shirts are seriously cool. So minimalist, so chill.
😃 Thank you!
I think they are mostly from Zara Men.
which will be a better choice between Sonet and Kylaq ?
Schumi's knowledge of cars is . Why don't send him for the next car's first drive, hearing his first observations for cars will be fun ....... or it can be a fun episode
Kartikeya's observations are really the one which everyone will appreciate in day to day ownership. Great points keep it up!!
Mostly because getting Shumi to agree to go to a car launch is... 😅
Waiting for Aprilia 457 video. Please give us an update
Nearly there…
What's your opinion about new gravity edition?
Fact fact🙌
Hi Kartik and team, Is there a review for 2023 Hyundai Venue in the channel ? I am not able to find it.
Can we get a video explaining the difference between IMT/DCT and all the other abbreviation of engine options available and which is better?
Gotcha! Thanks for asking, Parth!
Hi @motorinc,
Would you suggest Nexon's DCA or Sonet's DCT.

Hi,
I have a question.
Hello Sir
Nexon creative plus s vs sonet htx vs brezza zxi plus

Guys, which one’s a better pick between Taigun AT 1.0 TSI (GT line) vs Sonet GTX 1.0 DCT…there’s a lac difference between the two post all discounts. Would appreciate the help
Nice video! After my experience with 3-cylinder turbo petrol motor of VW (on Polo GT TSI), I am really skeptical about the smoothness of a 3-cyl. Whats your advise on 1L turbo petrol vs 1.5 diesel in terms of engine smoothness and overall refinement ?
Suspension adjustment has happened for only X-Line or GTX+ DCT Petrol also?
For all!
Do you guys have the idea of the fuel efficiency in city conditions for petrol 1.2L
Is IMT with diesel reliable?
It’s a simple gearbox - it’s a manual with an automated clutch. 🤷♂️
Hi @MotorInc, Is the noise isolation better overall and at highway speeds compared to pre facelift one ?
Hard to say right now. But it was quiet.
Imt diesel is the best...buttery smooth...I have it.
Oh wow! Great to hear that! Thanks for sharing. How long have you had it?
@motarinc team would really like to know your pick among the two. It would help me make a decision
Hands down 🙌 this was probably the most funniest Motorinc First video till date 😂. Really enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks VM!

Hope you timed your sips of coffee right! Hehe Thanks so much for telling us about it! Feels like we were there!
So I have a “versus” question for the Sonnet! 😅
We are family of 4 living in Pune with our indie dog who travels with us almost everywhere. We drive around 30k kms per year.
I was looking for a 60:40 split for sure hence was looking at Seltos.
Specifically diesel automatic (upgrading from Vento DSG diesel)
However the sonnet has the 60:40 now.
So a topend Sonnet vs a HTX Seltos
Views please @SirKart
Go with seltos htx
It's a bigger car for 5 so it makes for your family of four and your dog whereas sonet is more of a four seater so assuming your kids sit in the rear seat along with the dog it would not be as good an experience in the sonet
Considering budget is not an issue
That is an excellent option! The bigger vehicle will be very helpful since it’s 4 + 🐶!
What if the front suspension of the new sonet can be installed to the older gen.
Would u say that will improve the riding comfort?
It would! But you would want all four to be switched to get the balance.
hi, Thankyou for the detailed review but with being shortlisted of buying a Sonet HTX Diesel imt for my Dad as a second car while the first being EcoSport diesel, I am little confused with the Sonet itself that should i get 2024 facelifted ones or the 2023 prefacelift models, (My need is to get Diesel imt) which are getting really good discounts of around 2 lakhs, while this being, is it worth to spend 2 lakhs extra for the facelift? or should settle with 2023 Sonet diesel?
is the facelift really worth pushing,
1. Rear Disc Brake
2. Rear seat space, 60:40 split
3.Ventilated seats
4.no alloys on facelift htx
5. 6 airbags
6. Chassis stiffened up (doubtful)
7.New one looks good tho
8. Colour choices
Get the normal it's more than enough
Every time a new video drops, me (excited to see what you folks have to say) and my 3 y old daughter (excited to dance on the intro music), we both get on the floor and express our joY!
Oh man Manoj! Thank you so much for sharing that with us! Hugs to your daughter too - the youngest member of the MotorInc Fam!
Helloo..!! Why I don’t see any of reviews mentioning or take the drive of sone 1.2L petrol engine, is it the engine which is not to be considered..
@Kartikeya.. I have a question on the price.. Verna DCT top end being only 3 lacs away from Sonet DCT, would you not rather recommend the Verna?
He would recommend that in a heartbeat!
He would recommend that in a heartbeat!
What about the crash rating? Do you think they have improved the strength of crumple zone like in creta?
There are no changes to the chassis here. It’s the same as before.
Hello, one question, which is best buying advice, getting top end Sonet turbo petrol dct or for the same price should I get mid varient of Seltos?
Do you need the extra space? If yes - then the Selstos is an excellent pick. It can also be a car you can hold onto for longer. And the mid spec may have a few features lesser - but the size makes it more satisfying. Let us know if you have any specific needs/wants - would be happy to discuss.
Shumi sir, details about the CarPlay system you have?
(The one on your Ducati, that you’ve mentioned here)
Ok love everything u guys do ...
That will be wild!
Thanks.
You both are wonderful, continue to do the amazing job you both do. God bless you both.
Thank you so much!
39:40 yes...! Its a digital display mounted on the streeing wheel.
You sure?
Someone had to say it. Great to hear you guys call out unnecessary the NCAP hype.
Can you please give your review on mg astor, for 11lakhs is it a good option at 11lakhs cause its base variant has almost every basic things
I feel the safety point has been beautifully articulated.
How are the LEDs on the higher variants ? Are they the same as in the Seltos ?
We only drove in the day - but the headlamps haven’t changed - so they will be as good/bad as before. We had found them to be decent. Not super, not poor. Adequate.
@@motorinc thanks
How many cylinders are there in the sonnet 1L Turbo petrol variant ?
3 cylinder turbo
Hello. Wanted your opinion on the new Tata Punch EV. How can we connect if possible? Please opine

Difference in UX between 4-wheel disc and 2-wheel disc versions ?
We didn’t discuss that in depth because we couldn’t get an opportunity on public roads to evaluate it.
Best variant for mileage?
39:38, that's Schumi talking about Nexon's misaligned steerings. Many Nexon's and few of the Nexon's that were sold to customers had their steering a little misaligned, meaning, it would go straight only when the steering was slightly turned towards right side.
Nops, the misaligned touchscreen. Check the Nexon review for that

Yep yep! Thank you!
I always forget to comment this but whoever made your intro music needs a raise or a bonus. It's awesome!
Hey ADG! Thanks a ton for that!
Spot on thought!
Hey Cyrus! Rev-matching is done to _reduce_ the strain in the system on shifts. To us, it's the only way to do it correctly
I have decided to buy Venue 1.0 DCT, I like comfort and premium feel. Do you think I need to test drive Sonet?
Test driving cars is what they actually recommend before finalizing the purchase. Well if you think you need to test drive the new Sonet, you should do it for sure to make sure Venue is a better deal and viceversa.
Should definitely test drive it! Then there will be no doubts or hesitation / whatever you choose.

Dear MotorInc team,
Never have I laughed so much the way I did for this one.
I test drove all the available combos(excluding the baseline one), and here is what I felt, which resonated Karti's thoughts pretty much :
Kia Sonet(1.0T + 6IMT) :- Felt lethargic thanks to the turbo lag, followed by a jackhammer kick once the turbo spools up.
Reasons why I chose not to go for this car :
1. Our relatively low monthly mileage target(could have overlooked this bit still, if not for points 2&3)
2. DEF / DPF related concerns that could affect peace of mind.
3. Future of diesel vehicles thanks to the changing government norms.
4. The rear seat was not a very comfortable place to be in thanks to the premium space on offer.(Could have overlooked still)
5. The stiff ride quality. This was a strict no for me. Especially when you go over the unscientific speed breakers in our cities, you will be reminded very sharply of the same, especially when you are in the rear seats.
Cheers,
NI
Thanks so much NI! It’s awesome to get a peek at your analysis! Will be super helpful for others too!

Thanks SMuthu! Feedback noted!
What are your thoughts on Naturally Aspirated 1.2 Petrol Sonet?
Hullo! We would recommend skipping it and going for the turbo. The 1.2 is a one trick wonder - very refined and calm - for the Sonet you would want something with a bit more zest. Wouldn't you? :-)
